Well.. if you are in California, doc fees are restricted to $80, for example.. Tell the dealer that with a $900 doc fee, you are going to need a better price on the car.

I'm guessing this is Florida, home of the insanely high dealer fee.

I get $276.12 pre-tax with the numbers quoted (I'm assuming you are missing a 0 in your MF - should be .00039). Your quote of $259 with tax looks really good by comparison.

12K:
24 month: 62% residual
36 month: 54% residual
39 month: 53% residual

Add 1% for 10K.

Infiniti numbers are national.

24/10 for RWD is .00039 and 65%; for AWD, they are .00008 and 63%. Your dealer is marking up the MF to .00038 for extra profit.

I would guess it's some sort of special incentive available to the dealer that they are passing along to you. I don't have any specifics.

Can you help me figure this out? I'm kinda working backwards.
Monthly lease payment $322 not including NY taxes
Down payment- suppose to me taxes upfront and fees only $3880.02 this includes $1000 loyalty
I'm being told I must come up with $2163.89 out of pocket, taxes $1152.39, $12.50 tire fee, $700 bank fee and first payment. I believe the bank rate is .00008. The residual is $$20910.
I do not have the selling price- Is this a good deal? This is for a Q40 AWD with Nav.

It's hard to reverse engineer with this information. Get the MSRP and the net cap cost from the dealer.

The MF of .00008 is correct - residual is based on lease term and miles per year. What are they?

Over $8K off sticker looks good to me, but I've never shopped in that price category before.

The numbers work out the same for me --- $314/mo before tax.

First of all, I think your MF is inflated by dealer for extra profit. I told you this fact in the Slickdeals forum. Regarding your question, I think If you can pay all of those fees upfront, do that. Otherwise, you will have to pay interest on those.
I believe it only make sense to capitalize Tax as well as Selling price. If your vehicle gets totaled at the end of 1st year, then you don't have to run to get the reimbursement for the Tax that you have paid up-front for 2 years and use it only 1 year.

i calculated the difference between rolling all fees vs just rolling the bank fee, and its a $36 difference after 24 months, unless im calculating something wrong

Correct - 24/10 residual is now 62% for AWD, 63% for RWD. The 36 and 39 month residuals are the same for either drive - 55% for 36/10 and 54% for 39/10

What if the car already has 500 miles on it since the car was in the dealer for 5-6 months ? In this case, do I need to return the car with 33K miles ? Do I have to ask them to take this type of depreciation in to the account ?

Lease documents should indicate starting miles.

I think you did fine. Texas applies sales tax to the entire selling price, so your payment will be higher than others who post here and have only the monthly payment subject to tax.

Texas, Maryland and Georgia all tax the entire sales price.

Illinois has changed that practice since January 1, and now we pay a tax on payments only.
