    Hello everyone,

really great information here... learning a bunch considering I have never leased before.

this is for my parents as they are trying to get a 2016 RDX RWD Technology.

so far the information they were given is as follows, and I would like any input or suggestions to get the best deal possible for them.

    Location: Miami, FL

    MSRP: $38,970

    10,000 miles / 3 years

    $2000 down

$535 monthly (7% tax already included)

I am not sure I would be available to go with them to the dealer next week and would also like a OTD price for them to offer (Im assuming anything below MSRP $38,970 OTD is good?)

Any information, opinions, advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

The 36/10 lease numbers for the RDX FWD Tech are .00083 and 61%.

Negotiate the lowest selling price, just like you would for a purchase.

Also, find out the specific breakdown of the $2000 due at signing.

$535/mo is not a good lease price; make sure that the MF is not marked up from .00083 and that you are getting the lowest price. That will make for the best lease payment.

Great information on this site. Was hoping could get advice/numbers on this quote

    2016 RDX AWD with Tech
    MSRP 41,390
    Selling price 37,945
    15k/36 month/$0 out of pocket
Monthly $522 including tax, buying in Southern California

What is the expected MF? Does the pricing sound reasonable, thanks in advance!

    Good Morning,

I am wondering if you can provide me with the residual and MF for a 2016 RDX with all wheel drive and the tech package. It would be a 3 year lease with 10k miles per year / 30k miles for the life of the lease.

For now, it looks like there are no incentives on the RDX with this configuration. Any idea if that will change in the next week or two and does Acura have any step incentives for their dealers where they get significant money if the dealer hits new car sales targets for the year?

Lastly, I have a 2013 RDX - do you happen to know if Acura ever negotiates buyout prices on end of lease vehicles and does anyone know what the Acura dealer would pay if they bought my car after I turned it in? Said differently, if my buyout price is X, does the dealer get a discount and pay for example, 0.95X. I am trying to get an idea as to how much equity the vehicle has in it.

    Thank you for your help.

.00083 and 61% for 36/10 on the RDX with Tech.

Cannot predict what may change with the December numbers.

Unlikely that Acura will negotiate the residual value on a lease.

I would suggest you call Acura finance and get the payoff value, then head over to the "Real World Trade in Values" discussion here at Edmunds to get a clear picture of the trade value.

    Thanks for the information.

Do you know what the lowest mileage I can have on an RDX lease through Acura Financial? 10K, 7.5K?

Is residual calculated using the MSRP including destination or without destinationan?

Are the MF and residual #s you provided valid through 12-31-15?

I think 10K is the lowest mileage allowance on an Acura lease.

Residual is calculated against the bottom line number of the window sticker - including destination.

Acura numbers are valid until 1/4/16.

    Thank you

    .00083 MF and 58% residual

If we add $1500 on to the selling price for 1st payment, acq.fee and title/registration/doc fee, I get $481/mo.+tax. Depending on your tax rate, that's pretty close.

    I got these numbers
with the 36/10 lease numbers for the RDX FWD Tech are .00083 and 61%.

    Selling price $37500

Out of pocket $1000... $430 plus tax

Out of pocket $2000... $402 plus tax

does this sounds about right? Would asking for all weather floor mats and trunk tray in the deal be overkill?

    thank you again in advance

Using $39,800 as the MSRP, $37,500 as the net cap cost, 61% RV and MF of .00083, I get a payment of $390.30/mo.

Find out what the dealer is using for their net cap cost number ... probably higher than what we're using. Ask them what they've added in.

Base MF is .00083 and residual is 60%.

MF seems to be marked up. Even with the markup, I get $452/mo.+tax, if the selling price is the CAP cost. Ask for the adjusted CAP cost and why you aren't getting the base rate.

    opinions on this deal...

    RDX AWD BASE
    36 MONTHS, 36 MILES

    0 DOWN
    595 BANK FEE
    + DMV/DOC/1ST PAYMENT
    +~1500 DUE AT SIGNING

    $399/MONTH (INCULDES TAXES)

    62% RESIDUAL
    1.9% INTEREST OR .0007

SEEMS LIKE A VERY GOOD DEAL - matter of fact, happy enough, i see no need to try to negotiate further as I kinda believe dealer that there is no more to move on this price.

    what do u think?

Is that an actual offer or just an advertisement?

msrp is 37,810 not sure about cap cost.

but an update - I now have 3 dealers competing, with the lowest down to 410 with 0 upfront except 1st payment.

I think it's a no-brainer at this point with probably nothing for them to move on....although, I thought that when it was 399 with 1500 at signing (which was equivalent of around 433.

    thx again

The calculations and lease variables are correct. If you like the selling price, then it's a good deal.

Hi I am getting the following deal on a 2016 RDX lease. Is this a good deal:

    1) Base FWD, 36/10K
    MSRP - 36,210/-
    Selling price - 32,983/-
    Acquisition fee - 595/-
    RV=0.63
    MF=0.00083
    Doc Fees = 80/-
    Upfront fees = 362.75/-
    upfront taxes = 187.08/-
    Disposition fees = 350/-
    Monthly (including taxes) = 312.09
    Down - 3000/-

    2) Tech FWD, 36/10K
    MSRP - 39,910/-
    Selling price - 36,457/-
    Acquisition fee - 595/-
    RV=0.61
    MF=0.00083
    Doc Fees = 80/-
    Upfront fees = 385.75/-
    upfront taxes = 179.94/-
    Disposition fees = 350/-
    Monthly (including taxes) = 377.79
    Down - 3000/-

This is for San jose. I did not get a clear explanation of what is the upfront fees and disposition fees. Can I do better?

    Monthly (including taxes) = 377.79
    Down - 3000/-

This is for San jose. I did not get a clear explanation of what is the upfront fees and disposition fees. Can I do better?

    1st example:

With $3000 upfront, about $1450 goes for fees and 1st payment, leaving $1550 for CAP reduction, resulting in a CAP cost of about $31,450. Resulting in a payment of about $285/mo.+tax. Don't know your tax rate, but that seems fairly close and straightforward. Those fees all seem correct, as well for CA.

The disposition fee is not part of that calculation, as it isn't charged until lease end.

You'll note in the 2nd example, that the residual is lower for the tech model, resulting in a pretty hefty increase in payment.

There is no need to put $3000 upfront on a lease, though. You could just pay 1st payment and upfront fees, and roll the rest in. So, about $820 upfront and $377/mo. for the base model.

    Hi,

I'm close to signing a lease for the 2016 RDX tech through Costco's program. Which is a set $300 over invoice.

Same MF and Resid. as previously quoted.

Question is - if I pay entire lease upfront MF goes down to .00001 - which will save about $2K over 36 months.

Are there any downsides to paying the lease upfront? Thoughts on if it is advisable to do it?

    Thanks in advance.

No downsides that I'm aware of .. if the car is stolen or totaled, you'll get the pro-rated amount refunded to you.

Get Fremont Acura and Stevens Creek to fight with each other for a few rounds to get a better deal. Ask them for drive off fees only. I am very curious to see what they come back with.

Any additional down payment beyond the drive off fees you need to break down into your monthly to see what the real monthly payment is.

My approach for competing dealers is to ask for them to roll EVERYTHING in the monthly payment. Due at signing just the 1st payment. I personally see no need to get into money factors, etc.

To give you a number, I settled in on 410/month for RDX AWD Base. 36K miles.

I had the competing dealer come in again after I left a deposit for yet an even lower price, but I couldn't deal with this any longer after a lot of back and forth and I was satisified with this deal and dealer (closer, nice guy, etc.)

    good luck
