my 05 Pac will arrive tuesday and I can pick it up wensday... I'm excited anyways one question I'm getting an 05 PAC Touring... edmunds standard equipment says the drivers seat is 10 way power is this true... all the pics show the power buttons on the door with the memory stuff... but mine doesn't have memory so will it still have power driver seat... maybe relocated to the side like on most cars? don't know... thanks for all the help I'm looking forward to picking it up :)

Hi cjs2002 - we also have an 05 Pac Touring (AWD), and while we do not have the memory, we do have the 10-way power driver's seat. So I know it can be done. It's a little odd because the control for the seat is on the driver's side door, but you get used to it.

I ended up with 215 including tax for an 05 FWD PAC touring... it has everything I wanted in it so I'm happy... its a 24 month lease with 15K miles a year ... there were special deals going around the area which I also applied my family friends discount to so thats how I got that price... it comes wensday I can't wait....

Help ! All comments very welcome as I'm new at this. We have fallen for a '05 AWD black touring. It has the 26u pkg. , power moonroof , rear seat video system ,19" chrome wheels . The sticker is 36,383. we offered 32,000 and arrived at $32,060. ? Is this a fair price ? They also offered 2,500 for our 1998 crown vic. with 133,000 miles. The dealer really seems anxious. Comments , suggestions ? Thanks

I just leased one, but what I do know I live in northern ohio and up here there doing the 5K off
pac... plus if you finance with them its another 1K and if your a returning chrysler ect its another 1K on top of that so in essence you could at least do 5K right off the bat plus up to another 2K depending on if you qualify... I would say you could probably get them to knock of between 500 to 1K more plus your trade in... but thats based on the dealors up here... so where ever you are they might only be doing the 4K off still.... but thats all I know for now good luck... they' really do seem to want to get ride of them... the dealor told me they had to get rid of there 05 pre stock before the new edditions of 05 models were allowed to come (guess there doing 3 diff trim levels) anyways so many of them are wanting to get ride of these to get the fresh ones in.... good luck and enjoy

I posted this back in the middle of August, but this is the deal we did. We got the car fully loaded and paid $34700. I think based on the equipment that you are getting, that you could get a better deal. Also keep in mind that the rebates are only good through the end of the month (if you have rebates avail in your area.) Also, the end of the month is a great time to get better deals. Dealers have quota's to meet and they are pretty desperate to sell cars to get their extra bonuses. Any ways, here is the deal we did in mid August. Happy shopping!

"Here is the deal we did last weekend in Northern CA on our 2005 AWD Pacifica. We got it with 26U Quick Order Package, Navigation, 19" Chrome wheels, rear DVD, Moonroof, Infinity Sound System, HID lights, Cargo Conv., Laminated Door Glass, Uconnect hands free, & Satelite prep. The MSRP was $40,230, invoice w/out any anvertising fees is $36607 (incl. destination). We paid $34700 (including $2000 rebates) plus ttl."

Just leased '05 Pacifica AWD Touring: 445 month (NJ tax included), 36 month, 12K. Paid a little over $800 at signing. MSRP: 37050. I got it at the Chrysler/Kia dealership on route 4 in New Jersey. At first they wanted to charge me $1500 at signing and couldn't provide a breakdown of what it's for. It sounded like they wanted me to pay $700 "reduction fee", although I specifically mentioned I want $0 down payment lease. At the end, we settled on just $800 to cover the fees and 1st month payment. My advice: review all fees carefully before you start signing anything.
Otherwise, the dealer was very helpful and pleasant to deal with.
  • pompiliuspompilius Member Posts: 54
$445 per month sounds like a lot to lease this car, and you only got 12K miles per year?
  • bjbird2bjbird2 Member Posts: 647
I leased a 2004 base model, FWD, with $0 down, 12K miles per year, 39 months, for $309 per month, with free oil changes thrown in as a bonus.

Just wondering if we did OK we are picking up an 05 AWD Touring tomorrow sticker is $36735.00 , 36 month lease $415.00 per month including tax, 12K a year, with 1400.00 total down.

I have been quoted $3200 under invoice on all Pacificas for October, provided I finance through Chrysler. I am not quite ready to buy yet but will be in the next couple weeks. Will let you know how things turn out.
  • bigdaddy1bigdaddy1 Member Posts: 47
Just a note to thank everyone for their comments and inputs on their Pacificas. We took the plunge and ordered our new pearl black on 10/11 with a $100 deposit. In the time that has passed until delivery yesterday things just got better. As most of you may know, Chrysler gave another $1000. bonus for a total of $3000. From reading here and other sites I was very concerned about the cost of repairs after the basic warranty ran out. I told the dealer we were thinking of cancelling unless he or Chrysler could do something. As it finally turned out we received the mcx 770l maximum care $0 deductible for no charge! The msrp plus max care was $38,310. we paid $31,060. The max care was $1595. according to the Chrysler web site. Without the very long wait and this message board I was going to pay $32,060. without the best protection max care. I've already got the s.s. tail pipe, pacfica license frame, etc. The front windows are being tinted sat. We did not put on the roof rails and it really looks sharp! Thanks again for all the help.

I'm wondering how much room for negotiation there is in the extended service contracts? For the MCX7100L (7 year/100K mile $0 deductible), the Chrysler web site shows $2,950. One dealer offered it for $2,100. I see above that one family got it thrown in for nothing. How far should we push on this? Also, how does one go about getting free oil changes? Can the dealers just throw that in? Does Premium Care come on the 2005 Pacs?
  • bjbird2bjbird2 Member Posts: 647
The dealer threw in free oil changes for 3-1/2 years for me, as a clincher to close the deal.
  • bigdaddy1bigdaddy1 Member Posts: 47
The premium care does come with the '05 pac. I had the same question at the dealers, but they gave me the brochure which spells it out. We received the mcx770L at no charge after we threatened to cancel our order due to the many problems I was reading about. This is the 7 yr., 70,000 mi., 0 deductible. Since I retired we drive 10-12,000 yr. Mostly trips to N.C., Ohio, Wi. and Il. We have our Crown Vic for local running around. The contract msrp was $1,595. As far as oil changes, the dealer can throw in whatever required to close the deal at a profit. We went in with a list of must haves, nice to have, throw it in if it's free. Dealers get frustrated if everytime they think the deal is closed a new item is thrown on the table. We think we got a good price, free contract and very good financing. So far, with nearly 500 miles all is wonderful. Can't find anything to complain about. Leaving next week for 1,500 trip. Will let you know if problems occur.

Just purchased a 2005 Touring AWD (26S Pkg) w/Power Liftgate, 6-Disc CD/DVD Changer and Rear Seat Video System at "invoice" less 3k incentives for a total of $27,466 from Fair Oaks Chrysler in Chantilly, VA using the Costco Auto Program. Purchased this at the end of the month, literally the last day, and had another dealer offering $1,000 below invoice PLUS the 3k incentives. I stuck with the original deal because this dealer was very close to home AND included free oil changes/inspections for as long as I own the car. They were also very helpful in finding the vehicle that I wanted which wasn't loaded with all of the bells and whistles, this vehicle wasn't on their lot so they had to "purchase" it from another dealer. I had a very good purchasing experience with this dealer.
  • bigdaddy1bigdaddy1 Member Posts: 47
Congratulations on your new pac. Sounds like you had a very enjoyable buying experience. Have fun! I should have listened to my wife and gone for the free oil changes! Oh well, next time!

    '05 AWD Touring msrp $41,400 for $30,340.
Included in price paid was traded 'of 96 Town & Country 100,005 miles for $2,500. Also get free car rental while using dealership and 5 years free oil change.

It is a nice people mover that was overpriced, lots of inventory on lot.

For giggles, they lent me a 300Touring to return on Monday. Trying to buy one now. NO discounts found yet.

  • ab3ab3ab3ab3 Member Posts: 2
I just purchased 2004 PAC from company car program (DaimlerChrysler owned for executives)
    with 6250 miles.

    Here are the options.

Prem Leather Trimmed Bucket, Heated Seat Group, 3.5L V6 24V MPI, Power Moonroof, Power Liftgate, CD/DVD Changer 6 Disc in Dash, (no screen though, I have to look for one), Spare Tire Full Size, Customer Preferred Package 26R.

    I paid $22,200 plus Tax..

Do you think it's a good deal, any comments ??
  • bigdaddy1bigdaddy1 Member Posts: 47
It seems you are seeing prices all over the map in the last 6-9 mos. Ours was $38,310. msrp and we paid 31,060. We traded our old crown vic with 135,000 mi. for $2,500. Final cost was $28,560. Did not receive the free oil changes. The free rental is available to all pac owners with scheduled work. I have seen prices ranging from MSRP with NO discount to $10,000. off msrp. We did drive the 300C. With the pac I got up to 85 coming off the local entrance ramp. Fast enough. With the 300C I got it up to 135 in appx. the same distance. The light posts looked like a picket fence going by. This dealer said "for me" he would knock $1,000. off the msrp. In another state the dealer wanted msrp PLUS $1,000. for an all black loaded on the ground. I guess the price is whatever they can get.

Is 26,250 to much for a 2004 AWD fully loaded PAC with 22000 miles?
  • drj2000sdrj2000s Member Posts: 3
I looked on online Kelly Blue Book and it said the trade-in-value for a fully loaded AWD PAC was 18,400 and Edmund's shows me TMV of 22,400 for the same car.

Could someone please help me... I went to the dealorship yesterday and test drove an 05 AWD pacifica with leather, power lift gate, power seats, 6cd and sat down to start negotiations.... I have some questions... my main question is that I thought if you got leather it came in a package with heated seats memory seats and the electrocromatic mirror yet this model has 10 way power seats for both driver and passanger but doesn't have heated seats... is this model one that they just added leather to as an after market thing ... but on the spec sheet it has leather on it but it doesn't look like the typical aftermarket sheet they';d put up if it was done out of factory... second if I do get it... we have winters here so can the dealorship instal heated seats or no.... they have another model there thats is exactly the same except it has heated seats package? any thoughts on it? I just wanted to know before I go and make my final decision... do ya'll mind fillin me in... thank you so much...

Purchased the above recently from a Nissan Dealer where it had been traded in on an Armada.

Prem Leather Trimmed Buckets, Heated Seat Group front & rear, 3.5L V6 24V MPI, Power Moonroof, Power Liftgate, 6 Disc CD/DVD Changer in Dash, Infinity Intermezzo upgrade, Power everything.

Dealer had it listed at $26,000 we negotiated down to $24,900 and with our trade got it down to 22,400. (The trade was a 1997 Grand Prix that had been wrecked - we kept the insurance check and the dealer bought it for salvage).

Post #450 seems a "little" high for one with 22K miles compared to the deal we got. Just my opinion.

I'm considering leasing a loaded 2005 Pacifica Touring AWD with a total amount financed of 34310 (36750 MSRP, 31500 negotiated price, 34310 with taxes etc.). The dealer offered a 39 month lease at 482/mo with no money down, 19800 residual. Is this a decent deal? I've never leased so I don't know how to evaluate it.

    Hi:

How and where do you buy/find the company car program? Thanks!
  • agpagp Member Posts: 7
Just leased a 2005 Touring FWD with Customer Preferred Package 26T, Cargo Convenience Group, Power Moonroof, 17x17.5 Aluminum Chrome Clad Wheels and the Rear Seat Video System with wireless headphones and remote control with an MSRP of $33,390. Dealer discounted the car to $31,280. With $4,000 worth of rebates, brought the car down to $27,280. I added $1919 as a cap cost reduction to achieve a $275.00/month(tax included)payment. Lease runs for 39 months. Residual value = $17,696 and money factor was based on 3.5% interest rate. Got this deal at Eddie Accardi Jeep in Pompano Beach, Florida. Felt like it was a good deal. Oh, and they threw in two tanks of gas.

The following link and associated site were very helpful in learning about leases in addition to calculating a monthly lease payment. There is a virtual calculator that makes it very simple.

You probably did what I first did which was to check inventory on the Dealer's or Chrysler's web-site for Pacificas. The problem is that they clearly do not update the inventory. I saw what you saw but when I went to the lot, they had maybe 10 - 15 Pacificas in total and most were 2005s. It is not just the Accardi dealership which fails to update their inventory but pretty much all the dealerships that I checked in So. Fl.

It's called the marshelling center. I got it from the Detroit area. I am not sure if there are more marshelling centers across the country. You need a signature from an employee of DaimlerChrysler to buy from this program.

Once you find a car from the marshelling center you have to take the paperwork to a dealer to get the delivery of the car. The dealer will get the car from this center and sells it, strange procedure though. In my case the Dealer said I got the best deal (usually it is if you buy from this center), and I am happy !
  • wyattwyatt Member Posts: 18
I have read many posts here, and someone else mentioned that prices seem to be all over the place. I could use some guidance. Dealer has a MSRP tag of about $42,000. Right now, I believe there are several incentives out there. Could anyone give me an idea of what a fair offer would be? This car is loaded to the gills. I am not sure if I will be leasing or purchasing, but am looking at putting down at least $5K to reduce cap cost.

I am also looking at a Volvo XC70, and I think at this point, price is going to be the determining factor as to which car I go for.

Any help would be immensely appreciated!
  • bigdaddy1bigdaddy1 Member Posts: 47
Go back in this board and review. There were quite a few examples of what was paid versus MSRP. We paid $31,060. for our '05 Touring when the MSRP exceeded $38,000. with the 7 year, 70,000 0 deductible bumper to bumper warranty thrown in. Good Luck! We love ours!
  • siednarbsiednarb Member Posts: 1
We just leased a new '05 Pacifica (Magnesium Color) - basic model, FWD, no moon roof or anything fancy inside. We shopped around 6 different dealers in the Detroit area and got one to give to us for $220.00 with $0 down. 39 months/12k

With a trade in (1994 Dodge Intrepid w/80,000 miles)that is valued around $1000, we settled on $850 (they started offering at 500). That covered all our upfront costs and reduced our payment by an additional 6 bucks - so for the next 38 months I have the Pacifica for $214/month.

We are on the eve (literally) of making this purchase. It's a 2004 model (fully loaded w/GPS, DVD player, Sun Roof, etc) that has been at the dealer for over a year. It considered brand new. The MSRP is around $40K and we are making an offer of $29K. (The dealer has accepted it over the phone we still have to go look at the car)

The main concern I have is that this car has been sitting idle for over a year and I wonder if there is anything I should be looking for.

We did a fair amount of research and the bottom line is that we can buy an 05 with less options for $1500 more than we are paying for this loaded 04.

From reading this post, I know some early 04 had some issues...I did the CHrysler VIN number check and it was clean...Anyother ideas on how I can find more info on this specific car?

    Thanks for your assitance
  • pscdocpscdoc Member Posts: 93
Well you may want to take a thorough test drive and have the dealer check the battery and exchange it for a new one if its low. Also, if you decide to purchase the car you should look at the build date and possibly have all the TSB's (that are applicable for that build) performed on the vehicle before you actually take it home.
  • rodutrodut Member Posts: 343
I wouldn't want you to come back on this site and complain you had problems. Some people would be too happy. Pacifica is a great car even without GPS, DVD, sunroof and other fancy stuff. I understand it's made end of 2003. People reported lots of trouble caused by those cars. Why you look for trouble ? For $1500 ?

There are no reported problems for Pacs made during the 2nd half of 2004. That would be 2005 model year. My 2005 FWD Pac computer reported at 100 miles (so beginning of the break-in) a 23.5 MPG mileage on the highway (steady 60 miles/hour). Look on different sites how much was the mileage of some older Pacs. That should eat your $1500 profit pretty fast.

Howdy all! I just purchased a used 2004 Pac FWD leather, power everything, tailgate lift, 6 cd/dvd , MINUS -- heated seat, sunroof, Intermizzo, and navigation. It was a corporate lease that was shipped from Michigan with 20150 miles on it. Paid $20750 for car and a total out the door price of $22351 which included t t and title. They were asking $22999. They say they are a wholesale shop. How bad do you think I got rolled???

    reuel3: can you help me?

I went to a dealer on 3/1/05 and
received a lease quote as follows:

    39 month lease
    MSRP: 33,800.00
    Price: $32,265.00
    C.O.D.: $700.00
    Rebate: $3000.00
    Cap Reduction: $3,700.00
    Total: $28,565.00
    Bank Fee: $700.00

    Net Lease: $29,265.00
    Residual: 48%
    Net Residual: $16,224.00
    Preferred Pkg: 26U
    Full Size spare

Total Due at signing: $2,476.75 (inc: 1st
    payment of $395.79, C.O.D. of $700.00;
    Registration of $50.00; Tire Tax of $7.50;
Tax & Misc of $1004.46; license fee of $319.00)

    Monthly Payment = $395.79

This seems like alot per month with almost $2500.00 down up front. Where do you feel I can negotiate with this dealer that can make an impact
on the monthly lease amount of $395.79? I would like to have the payments in the $350.00 range if at all possible. Thanks for your help!

Well, right away I'd say don't lease for more than 36 months. We usually advise folks not to lease beyond the manufacturer's warranty expiration.

I would love to give you some great pearl of wisdom, but I'm not much help on the lease end of things. I would agree with Kirstie's post in that a 39-month lease is not necessarily the best deal in general. The numbers look pretty in line overall, and I had my source at Chrysler financial check out your deal, and he seemed to think it was a decent set up. Now, keep in mind that he is obviously structuring deals to make Chrysler money, but he indicated that the dealer was probably not making a whole lot based on those figures. Hopefully some other members can come along and give you some comparisons to what they received. Good luck!

Alright, I got this vehicle slightly used, it was a Chrysler Rep vehicle.

18,000 miles on it, less than a year old.

    factory bumper to bumper warranty
    7 year, 70,000 mile warranty
    Touring Package

We negotiated $303 a month with $1000 due at signing.

I told them that was too high and we'd just find another dealer with another car we like.

That got their attention, I am now the happy Leasor of a 2005 Pacifica at $281 a month after taxes, and I only put $1000 down including, Tax, Title, License and First months payment. Capitilized Cost reduction was about 530.
