That is an awesome deal. Is there any way I could who you dealt with? May be the initials of the individual who helped you. I know we can't post names and number etc. Did you get it through the internet manager of Sout Bay Acura? I am drooling. :D
  • darballman1darballman1 Member Posts: 55
I don't know if South Bay have any left. It was the internet mgr. and can't remember his name.

Plantet Acura has a few 06s left.

Also, South Coast Acura was probably the closest to my deal. They are located in Costa Mesa. I dealt with a girl in the internet office. Sorry, I can't remember her name, but I will check.

Any info on recent purchases of an 07 base w/ navi in or near Chicago? Seems like around 34,000 before TTL is best one can do.
  • longislandguylongislandguy Member Posts: 5
If New York is near Chicago, I picked up a TL base model for $32,375. Lease works out to $449/month with 0 down.

Would be interested in all your thoughts on that overall price point?
  • 2bnatl2bnatl Member Posts: 13
That's without nav, correct? If so that seems to be about right for an 07. Definitely can pay signifigantly less for a new 06, but they're getting scarce. They did some nice upgrades on the 07 model, ie. better soundsystem, nicer leather, mirror signals, rearview camera, mp3 plug, etc. but not sure worth close to $3000.
  • longislandguylongislandguy Member Posts: 5
It's without NAV since I already have a Garmin. Not an expert on the '06's, but I called around and there aren't just any left.

So all in all, I think I got a pretty good deal all things considered. I didn't know the sticker went up that much compared to the '06 though!

Nevertheless, if you look on Leasetrader and Swapalease, it would appear that the current lease deals beat the older lease deals by about $50/month.
  • 2bnatl2bnatl Member Posts: 13
The invoice price just went up about $750 they're just really willing to bargain on the few 06's left. Interesting that the lease price went down. I'm hoping to buy either the 07 at invoice or the 06 at close to $2000 below.
  • longislandguylongislandguy Member Posts: 5
Just from my experience here, invoice may be difficult to get for the '07, at least until the current lease deals expire.

I think my deal - at 32,375 - was something like 900-1000 over invoice and it was like pulling nails across a number of Queens/Long Island dealers. A couple didn't even return my calls/emails when I made the offer. Of course the price one pays is also based on supply/demand in that particular area.

Anyway, taking delivery of the car in a few days and I'm very excited. Definitely a killer car.

I was just quoted $33,700 for an '07 with Navi for purchase. I was also qouted $472 (which includes tax)no money down on a lease for 36 months at 12k per year. I live in the NYC metro area. Are those good deals compared to others??
  • longislandguylongislandguy Member Posts: 5
You're at 750 over invoice. That sounds like a pretty good deal, it's around the ballpark of NYC prices approx. 1,000 over incoice depending on model, color, dealer stock, etc. Did you negotiate that price? If so, well done.
  • 2bnatl2bnatl Member Posts: 13
$33,623 is the invoice plus destination charge, there was an earlier post saying they paid $33,400 in Houston [#7416]. There's other postings from earlier in 06 saying they paid under invoice. Curious.

    How about Edmunds.com?

'21 Dark Blue/Black Audi A7 PHEV (mine); '22 White/Beige BMW X3 (hers); '20 Estoril Blue/Oyster BMW M240xi 'Vert (Ours, read: hers in 'vert weather; mine during Nor'easters...)

Check out the acura TL entry in Wikipedia, it describes each years models and changes.
  • ggesqggesq Member Posts: 701
    mubeen,

Here are most of the differences:

For MY 07: two versions of the TL; TL-P and TL-S(go to acura.com to see the differences between these two)
    07 is a MMC
    has a new automatic transmission
new headlights, taillights, foglights and DRL's
only comes in automatic transmission (non Type-S) models
Upgraded Navigation includes backup camera and real time traffic
Turn indicator lights on side view mirrors
    Upgraded leather
    New exterior/interior color combinations
    newer style rims

There might be a few more but these are the major differences between the 06 and 07. Additionally, there are differences between the 07 TL-P and TL-S but you can find those at the Acura website. Hope this helps.
  • 2bnatl2bnatl Member Posts: 13
The 07 also has a new steering wheel and new gauges, changes in suspension [softer in base, stiffer in Type S] and an upgraded sound system allowing surround sound, ability to play MP3 and WMA, and an auxiliary audio jack. Supposedly you can get surround sound with some XM stations.

I've gotten an email special for $200 over invoice for all TLs from Ed Napleton Acura in Elmhurst, IL. This would be $33,823 + TTL for a 2007 TL with Navi. The email stated that the prices are valid thru 1/30/07. I confirm this via phone with both an internet sales consultant and the sales manager.

I've also received a quote from McGrath Acura Morton Grove for $33,989 for the TL with Navi.

I have a standing offer from McGrath Acura Westmont to beat any price (even from their own family of dealerships).

Let me know if any other pricing is out there in Chicagoland.

    Thanks

All 2007's Acuras also have a new switchblade key
  • starman98starman98 Member Posts: 119
Also 2007's also have a higher MSRP over 2006 models about $800 more with Navigation and $400 without Navigation.

Mudguards can also be ordered to match the color of the TL so no more ugly black!

Just paid $36,200 in Rochester on a clean deal. Got quotes from Cleveland to Albany which ranged from $36,400 to $36,700 (invoice is $35,444). Because can fly to Baltimore for $39 I checked prices there and was quoted $35,944. Used that as leverage on the Rochester dealer (figured the $250 in savings wasn't worth the 500 mile drive back home....).

I just got a price of 36,500 for TL with Navigation + Tax + Tags (PA). is this a good price.

also kind of deciding between TL and Lexus ES 350. Lexus ES 350 with park assist and premuim plus package is coming at $40,500 including tax and tags in PA.

any help and advice will be highly appreciated

I am in Orlando but I'm willing to drive anywhere in the state. Anyone know which dealerships might be willing to work on these? I can probably wait until the end of the month if that will help. I'm looking for a price at or below 36,200, which should get me out the door for about 38,500.
  • ggesqggesq Member Posts: 701
IMHO- it's too much $$. 295.00 bucks off of MSRP is not a good deal.

TL and ES are two completely different types of FWD vehicles. The ES is a luxury boulevard cruiser compared to the TL and has more "luxury" than the TL. Depends on what your looking for really. More sport= TL. More luxury= ES.
  • ggesqggesq Member Posts: 701
Try Acura of Orange Park in Jacksonville, Acura of South Florida in Hollywood or the Acura dealer in Sarasota. When I was in the market, the above three were the best to deal with and offered the best deals. I ended up buying at Acura of South Florida.
  • chkntonychkntony Member Posts: 38
Is that for type S or base w/ navi?
  • chkntonychkntony Member Posts: 38
What is the average price of 2007 TL with navi plus tax, tag and everything?
Not MSRP, but the real price people are getting.

    WHat does TTL stand for?
  • spyderredspyderred Member Posts: 138
TTL = Tax, title, and license.
  • groovevickygroovevicky Member Posts: 4
    thanks for your reply....

i am kind of novice in negotation skill. they offered me $37,700 with TAX and TAG. I offered $36,000 and they pushed me to $36,300 and finalized it. I am yet to commit on that...as i wanted to chk what are the deals taken by others in PA.

Car is Acura TL with Navi 2007

It is Acura TL with Navi 2007
  • rcoketguyrcoketguy Member Posts: 13
I bought my TL-S from Courtesy Acura in Sanford at the end of the year. I got them down to just about $750 over invoice which included the Pro Pack BUT had to add a Dealer Fee of $600; came to about $1300 over invoice + TTL. This is a great deal for central Florida.

I traded my '06 TL AT w/Navi; they gave me $28,000 for it.

I used the Costco service for a TL without nav and was refered to Ceritos Acura. Price was 32,193 before ttl.

Didn't know that USAA also refered; should check them out.

    HI,
I am not sure what are you saying about your car. Are you saying that your car is giving you trouble. Are you not happy with your car? I am thinking about getting a TL. So at this time. I am just looking and asking questions.
  • albert5albert5 Member Posts: 42
Anybody just bought a '07 TL base model anywhere in Washington State?
Please let me know how much you got it for.
I will try to negotiate a price close to invoice with the dealer.

I got a qoute from acura of lynnwood with the base model/no navi. for $33,295+ tax & license. Costco membership discount is not yet included. Not sure how much will they remove with the costco membership.

    Thanks,
    Albert

Is the acurawarrantyinfo.com a reputable company...or any other warranty sites that are reputable/reliable? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Just bought a 2006 Acura TL auto w/navigation at Sierra Acura in Alhambra, Ca. for $30,400 last month. Internet Salesman was great, did not push for extended warranty or any other upselling.
I would like to thank this forum for the great help and advice.

    Have a safe drive everyone.

Yesterday, I purchased a 2007 TL with Nav for 35,114 out the door ($9 over invoice, it included wheel locks and a trunk tray). I also purchased an Acura Care Extended Warranty of 8 years/120k miles for $1,515. The dead cost on the extended warranty was raised in January from $1,315 to $1,415. Fortunately, I knew that when I went in and talked him down from $2,200.

This seems like an excellent deal. Congratulations on the new purchase. Where are you located? Can you provide the details of your deal?

    TIA,

    Spyderred.

A local car purchasing company (Northern CA) got me a price of $2500 below invoice on a 2006 TL. I thought that was a great deal! Is it?
  • vicnationvicnation Member Posts: 33
Although I live in Charlotte, NC, my local dealer wouldn't give me a good deal. I went to Flow Acura in Winston Salem, NC after calling several other dealerships. I did receive the same price quotes from multiple dealerships in North and South Carolina but this one was closest. I'd recommend calling a dealer outside your area and give them a price you're willing to pay for the car. More than likely, they will take it if they are able to make anything on the deal. Local dealers pay advertising rates and saturate the local market, therefore, becoming unwilling to budge on the price. They count on the fact that you won't want to travel to get a better deal. Beware of tricks like "We cant sell you the car for less than we sold it to factory Acura representative," and "I can lower it another hundred but I'll have to cut my commision in half." If you have any other questions, let me know.

Is $30400 plus TTL? Or $30400 out the door? Thanks
  • chkntonychkntony Member Posts: 38
How much did anyone start dealing from?

I think 35,000 was the cheapest out the door price i saw in this forum, any one else?
  • ggesqggesq Member Posts: 701
Is it a good deal- YES. However, Acura is currently offering a 2k incentive so the car purchasing company is not performing any magic tricks.
  • jram721jram721 Member Posts: 9
It's $30,400 plus TTL...I added all weather mats and wheel locks which I bought from them after 4 days for another $125 tax included. I don't know if I got a little bit of a discount on them.
  • low_ball_88low_ball_88 Member Posts: 171
I received that price back in November 2006. Did they have the incentive back then?
  • fmlongofmlongo Member Posts: 3
I am new to Acura's. I test drove the Type-S and the BMW 328i this past weekend, among others. The Acura really impressed me; more than I was expecting. So my list is down to the BMW and the Type-S.
I am now doing my "homework".
I am in south central Pennsylvania. What would be a good deal on the '07 Type-S, 6-speed manual, all weather tires, out the door?
  • 2bnatl2bnatl Member Posts: 13
Edmunds doesn't show the 2k incentive. Are you sure about it?
....oh, it's on 2006 models. Seems like dealers are overloaded with 2007 type S's, anyone buying below invoice?
  • dave_in_njdave_in_nj Member Posts: 3
    Hi,

Springfield dealer in NJ is offering me type-S for 35,500 plus taxes. $200 doc fees and $388 vehicle reg. fees. I want to know if this is a good deal. What do you guys think?
  • junisdadjunisdad Member Posts: 1
    Hi Low ball,
Can you tell me what company you used? Were you satisfied with the service? I 'm also looking for a 2006 TL in No Cal.
    Thanks!
  • chaperoahchaperoah Member Posts: 30
I know this does not help exactly but here in SoCal I got my S-type for 35.5K + ttl. OTD was about 38K. Others in SoCal have got 36K + ttl. Assuming taxes are lower in Penn, I would assume you OTD might be a little lower (maybe 37.5Kish). Anyway, hope this helps.
  • chaperoahchaperoah Member Posts: 30
YES! Same deal I got. Lowest I've seen yet. Was this a written quote? If so, use it to see if you can get lower. Most likely won't, but bite if they have the color you want (might only offer what is on the lot for that price) and the dealer is good. Excellent deal
  • ggesqggesq Member Posts: 701
    dave,

Assuming the $35,500 included the destination fee and is not the Type-S with summer tires, the dealer is making you an offer about $59 under invoice. Doc fee is not outrageous. Sounds like a fair deal IMHO.
