The amounts quoted are complete with all taxes, fees etc.
The dealer is Bridgewater Acura, as I mentioned the sales staff was very helpful.
It did not hurt that I have very good credit. Good Luck

Anyone have any real-world experience that can offer an opinion on which label/price would most likely be applied in my case?

Also if you are picky about int/ext color you may not get your choice once the 07 inventory starts depleting. They don't make as many TLs as an accord or civic.
Personally the biggest selling point for me with the TL at the moment is the 1.9% APR financing. That is why I'm going to buy the car this month. They may have other deals once 08 debuts but I don't know if this sweet financing offer will be around.
HTH.

The deal, however, was absolutely brutal and I will never buy from this dealership again. The only reason I didn’t walk out was because I knew I was getting the best deal possible. Hope this provides you with some entertainment...
Armed with everything I learned from this website, and carbuyingtips.com, I sought multiple internet offers. The lowest offer was in Akron, I followed up with that dealer and told him that in exchange for his lowest price, I would agree to buy from him unless someone else significantly beat his price. He quoted me $250 over invoice.
A second dealer in Bedford, which is much closer to where I live said he would knock another $100 off and throw in car mats. I told him I would think about it and call him the next day. He called me twice the next day anyway. When I told him I might want a color he didn’t have on the lot, he started telling me it would cost $150 to bring the car in and that he would have to charge me extra for the propack if it was already on the car.
So I called Akron back and he said he would sell me any color at the quoted price, nothing extra. I told him that Bedford had beat his price, but that I wanted to buy from him even though it was more inconvenient. He said flat out, buy from Bedford, I can’t beat their price. True to his word, he did give me his best offer.
So I went to Bedford and before I knew it, the two colors I was considering were sold. I then asked them to get me the color I wanted and they started trying to up charge for shipping the car and propack again. Sales manager #1 came out and was all confrontational with me. After saying I didn’t think I should have to pay for those items and that Akron was not going to charge me for them, he started raising his voice, “what do you want then? The deal was for what I have on the lot”
I pointed his attention to the fact that nowhere on the email quote that I received did it say that the price was contingent on inventory and (2) I wanted him to honor the price he quoted me. He said it would cost extra and offered to sell me a demo vehicle with about 4500 miles. He left to check the price.
He returned to tell me that he would sell me the demo. I asked how much and he said it would be the same as the internet price he quoted me. I said “no chance. I’ll take a new one.” He left again to try to locate a vehicle.
After a few minutes of talking with the sales man about how it would just be cheaper to go to Akron, and him agreeing with me, I told him I would not buy if they charged me extra. He left to talk to the manager again. At this point I’ll add that the sales man worked through the attached Volvo dealership and was a very likeable person, who was pretty straight forward with me throughout the whole process.
Realizing my dislike for manager #1, he wisely returned with manager #2. Unfortunately, manager #2 carried the same bad attitude. He came waiving a sheet of paper and complaining about all the work he was doing to locate the vehicle and that Akron didn’t have it and I’d have to pay more ($150 for the delivery and $280 for the Propack) Akron wasn’t giving me the whole story and Akron could not easily remove the propack without leaving holes in the frame I had his back was against because he was selling so low and if I wouldn’t pay extra then the deal was over blah blah blah. He was close to yelling—and we were on the show room floor.
His attitude ticked off my wife, especially when he said something to her like, “Is something wrong, can I get a smile? Are you OK?” She had been quiet all along and is generally nonconfrontational. She told him, “no, I’m not ok you’re condescending and rude, who do you think you are treating us and your sales staff the way you do I find it offensive, we were excited to buy a car today and now all we are getting is attitude You’re mad because my husband is an educated consumer and knows what he is talking about, you shouldn’t treat people the way you do, it’s rude” This was totally contrary to anything I have ever seen her do.
At this point, I stood up and said that we were leaving, at which point he did a complete 180. He apologized, said he was frustrated with this deal and finding the car I wanted and didn’t mean to offend. I told him that it was dumb to take frustration out on his customers, who despite our better judgment, are still willing to buy a car from him. I told him that not only was he losing the sale for $150, because of the way he was treating me, he was also losing all of my service.
He then agreed not to charge me for shipping or mud guards. Knowing I could not get as near of a good deal from anywhere else, I eventually agreed. I am happy with the deal I got, but the negotiation was nothing short of a pain in the a**.
My salesman through the Volvo dealership was great, but the Acura dealership was far from a pleasant experience. The internet manager in Akron seemed to be very straightforward and I would work through him before I go back to Bedford.
Thanks to everyone for their help over the past month. Like I said, the car is awesome.
I know there are other forums regarding warranty and accessories but they are low-traffic so I'll ask my question here.
Did anyone who purchased the TL recently get the extd wrnty? Why?
Are there any options worth having? I'm thinking about the splash guards. Are they practical and useful?
Thanks!
My dealer's accessories list has the price of the propack with splash guards, wheel locks and all-season floor mats (with installation) at $345.
I'll try to knock it down some. If they don't I'll just buy them online. There seem to be plenty of web sites hawking them.
Do you need tools to install the splash guards or do they just snap in?
Thanks.
The rear guards are a little unusual as they come with a bracket but the instructions are quite clear. You will re-use the screws currently in the front wheel wells. The rears come with new fasteners.
Good luck...
How much do you spend every year on car insurance and hoping to never have to use it. Living in So Cal, car insurance premiums can be about $500 every 6 months for full coverage for a new car. When you are in an accident and you use your insurance to repair your car, your premiums sky rocket for the next 3 years.
So, I paid $1500 to have mechanical breakdown coverage for 8 years, 120,000 miles with zero deductible using AcuraCare to have a piece of mind.
For me, it provides me with the a piece of mind.
Also, your question about options worth having, When I bought my TLS, I negotiated the pro-pack (wheel locks, painted mud guards and trunk tray) in the price of the car ($35,100 which included destination).
Just my 2 cents worth,
Spyder.

Just a word of caution: Be CAREFUL about buying 3rd party contracts.
I was one of the few lucky ones who bought a 3rd party warranty from 1Sourceautowarranty.com several years ago. I got my money's worth from them. I paid $1800 for a contract and they paid about $3000 worth of repairs on my car, until they went belly up. Also, look at Warranty Gold. They were huge and sold thousands of contracts and left customers high and dry.
Again, my point is be VERY careful about 3rd party warranties. They may be cheaper up front, but you may regret it later.
Spyder.
The good thing I don't have to buy the warranty tonight.
I got a quote from smartautowarranty.com for 7yr/100k for $1999. Very comprehensive (covers electronics), but expensive.
curryacura.com quoted $1150 (with $-90 discount).
As always, folks, thanks for the good advise.
I know I'm lucky, but I've never had any expensive out of warranty repairs (and I even had a Chrysler for 2.5 years out of warranty recently!).
I believe that friends don't let friends buy extended warranties... (for Toyota & Honda products, at least)

The new 2007 Acura TL w/navi (carbon gray/ebony) is in da house. Picked it up yesterday from Ramsey Acura in NJ.
Price (including invoice): $33725
Sales Tax: $2360
Doc fees: $185
Registration/Title fees: $351 (for 4 years)
Temp plate/NJ tire fee: $10.50
The only thing I regret is not negotiating the propack (matching splash guards, wheel locks, all season mats) before agreeing to buy. I think I could've had them throw in a couple of things if I had brought it up early in the process, but I wasn't sure what I wanted till the end. Looks like I can get the propack for $225 over the internet.
The buying process was very pleasant. Bill D. the sales guy was friendly and helpful without being pushy. *After* the purchase, he spent about 1 hour going over all the features of the car and the thick manual package instead of trying to push us out the door. The car was presented nicely -- with a full tank of gas and sparkly clean, inside and out.
George the finance guy threw a bunch of options at me but didn't try to force anything. He did emphasize I needed to get Gap insurance since I financed the whole purchase, but I passed on that. I did purchase the extended warranty (7 years/100k) and tire/road hazard.
ext. warranty - $1194 (comprehensive)
road hazard - $375
I have 30 days to cancel. We are planning on keeping the car for many years so I decided to go with the warranty. As Spyder helpfully pointed out in an earlier quote I checked the exclusions list and it does not mention GPS/navi or airbags. But I don't see it specifically included, either. The extensive range of electronics in the Acura is why I'm really interested in the warranty. The dealer said that it is covered but I will call Zurich (warranty provider) on Monday to confirm.
In conclusion, I might've gotten a better price elsewhere but I liked the dealer and the location is very convenient to me. Do not just walk into the dealership without getting internet quotes. If you are a credit union member call them. I got a quote for $33707 from my CU but the dealer was out of the way for me.
I will post my driving experience on a different forum in a couple of weeks.
Cheers.
You're right, the car is unbelievable. However, this way, I have some equity in the vehicle.

I think you need to decide how important the 1.9% financing deal is for you. For me that was a great offer so once I was satisfied I had received a fair quote I bought the car before the deal expires end of april. Over 3 years I'll pay only $1000 in interest which is not too shabby.
Once MY 08 rolls out I imagine 07 prices will drop but I don't know how that works.
With few in-state dealers, it's hard to get a competitive price. Middleton Acura (aka Zimbrick)'s rep acted rather offended I dared to try haggling. He gave me "we don't do invoice" and "I don't even know what invoice would be"; his best offer was 35300 before TTL. Acura of Brookfield (which appears also affiliated with Zimbrick) didn't have much in stock and pretty much was quoting MSRP. Boyland Acura (in Appleton) was a bit more reasonable, after some discussion, at 36700 OTD (high 34K before TTL).
The prices are better in Chicagoland (a couple quotes just above/below $34K before TTL), but I am unfamiliar with what extra steps might be involved in buying out of state.
Any input would be much appreciated!
As i am in the middle of refinancing my house and it will be done by Friday, i don't want the dealership to run my credit till Friday.....
Therefore, my question is that how does the process work ?? does the dealership has to run my credit first and then they talk about pricing ??? can i ask for a price quote and hagle the price before they run my credit ??? Please advice...
Thanks!

But, if you are closing on the house within the next week, they have most likely already processed your loan.. and will likely not see any credit checks.
Doesn't mean it can't happen, but I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
