Thank you so much! I got another quote for a XT Touring w/ Nav and EyeSight with 59% RV and 0.00125 MF, MSRP ~$37,000, sale price ~$33,500, $700 fess, Drive of $1500 and ~$365 monthly payments.

How does the MF and RV look for this one?

I don't track selling prices - use the 'make / model / year' pull downs at the top of the page to link to the price tools from Edmunds.

If you look at the fine print of that $259/mo offer, I suspect there is some money down necessary.

Hello, apologies if this has been asked...I am shopping for a Forester and I am very new to leasing. Is it better (cost-wise overall or with regard to residual value, etc) to lease a 2015 or 2016? Or is does the decision (i.e. year of vehicle) matter primarily on the negotiated price, less the residual value? Also, is there an advantage or disadvantage to the down payment amount, other than it effecting your subsequent monthly payment. Is any aspect of a lease dependent on your credit rating. For example, the MF? Is the MF negotiable or dependent on your credit rating? When they give you an estimated lease payments why does it seem so inconsistent with the Subaru website.

The lease programs aren't a lot different, but the assumption is you can negotiate a much lower purchase price on a 2015 model, resulting in a lower lease payment.

There is no advantage to making a large downpayment on a lease.

The money factor is definitely dependent on your credit rating.

Manufacturer website calculators are mostly useless.

For us to calculate a lease payment, you'll have to provide the MSRP and proposed selling price.

Also, find out the net cap cost - if it's higher than the selling price, ask the dealer what's been added.

The Net cap cost should be an amount also including the acquisition fee,isnt it?I will push them to have the NCC at $27265.

$595 is $16.50/mo for 36 months, so yes, a lot closer to the $345/mo dealer quote.

Your choice to pay the acquisition fee up front or add it to the cap cost.
