I got an offer for a 2016 gti s auto 4dr for 189/mo and 3750 total including everything.  36 months, 10,000 miles.  Is this a decent deal?

Yes, the lease cash is subject to sales tax.

Yes - about 4.3%, but it is still better to pay tax on the leased portion of the car. Especially when you also have to pay property tax on the leased cars - about $1,200 on a $40K car in the first year, then it's less based on the car value.

We have personal property tax on cars here in CO as well, but it isn't that expensive. 2.1% of 85% of the base MSRP is due the first year, then the percentage gradually decreases in years 2-5.

Being quoted 59% residual which seems right for 36/12.

Being quoted at $410 - $426 with 1st month and $0 additional drive-offs, depending on credit tier. My calculations come in at $371 - $392. Not a huge difference but i would rather keep the extra $1000+.

Using your prices, I get $371/mo for A tier, and $386/mo for B tier

I would confirm the adjusted cap cost - if higher than your OTD price, find out what's been added.

My Minnesota VW offered a money factor of 0.001690 and a residual of 0.58 for a 2016 GTI Autobahn automatic w PP and Lighting package. 12k/36 This is based on a selling price of 33,545 with fees down of 1st payment, tax, plates. They quote a monthly of $479 thoughts? thanks

After striking out finding Golf R to lease I’m looking at leasing a 2016 GTI. I’m trying to determine if this is a good deal and what others have paid for similarly loaded GTI? Could someone evaluate this quote for me? I’ve gotten similar prices which seem high for GTI. I've been using Edmonds lease calculator which allegedly claims the figures are accurate but again I’m having hard time accepting $453.00 is the going rate for GTI in Portland Oregon 97209.

Even at .00130 MF and 58% residual, the payment is only $424/mo.

If the customer price quote was based on a purchase, then they probably aren't using the same number to calculate a lease. The dealer incentives for financing are $750 more than for leasing. (meaning, $750 less discount).

I get $359/mo before tax with those prices.

I would confirm that the $2000 is a cap reduction - I don't see any reference to the taxes (NJ collects the tax for a lease up front), bank fee or dealer fee.
