    Hi there,

I was wondering what kind of monthly I can expect with a 2016 Accord Touring, 3yr/36k mile in Southern California, MSRP $35,515 sale price of around $33,000.

    Thanks!

Recommend you read back a month or two of posts - you should be able to get 2500-3000 under invoice for that car. 33k is not good at all.

Sorry, thanks for catching my mistake. Still new here, learning the ropes. MSRP $35,515, Invoice a hair under $33000, sell price a little above $29000.

    Thanks!
36/12 on Accord Touring is 50% and .00038.

With your prices, I get $330/mo before tax.

I assume $0 cap reduction in my calculations. Bank fee, dealer fee, first payment and DMV costs are due at signing. If you add these into the lease, the payment goes up.

you exclude the mandatory 595 acq fee from your quotes? 330 seems very low

How does this deal look for a 2016 Accord EX-L (without Honda Sensing or navigation) in southern California?

    MSRP: $28,670

If it's 36/15, the residual is 53%, not 55%. (and, 53% = your residual amount)
At that number, I get $285/mo.+tax. Looks like your $1600 has some CAP cost reduction to get the payment down to $300/mo.? You would need to be around $276/mo. to get the after tax payment to $300.

Yes, some cap cost reduction is in the $1600. This is the cost of the car if purchased from roadster. I checked again and you're right about the residual being 53%, I must have written it down wrong. Also, this must be a number that changes, because it's now $303.34 per month (including tax). That comes to about $278.93 per month before tax.

My question - is that a good deal?

    Hello,

Could you please provide the residual and MF for 2016 EX-L V6 coupe in NJ, 36 month and 15k lease.

Also, please advise what incentives are available for lease & purchase. Lastly, does Honda do 18 or 20k leases?

    Thank you!

    Hi, gang!

New to this forum and site, but have been looking at the information you are providing lately.

Just leased a 2016 Honda Accord Touring in AZ 36/12k miles; $0 down, financed EVERYTHING.

    Here are the numbers:

MSRP: $35,515 (dealers in AZ add tint and protection on most cars and claim a ~$37k MSRP)
    Purchase Price: $30,792
    Doc Fee: $400
    Financing Fee: $595
    AZ VLT @ 1.68% of MSRP: $596.65
    Tire, Air Quality, Registration: $13.50
    Sales Tax (8.05%): $1,233.76

    Total Capitalized Amount: $32,397.62
    Monthly Payment: $460

    Is this a decent deal?

You can do more mileage. I think Honda reduces the residual by $0.10/mile, from the 15K/yr number. So, a 36/18 lease residual would be $900 lower then the 36/15 residual.

I agree with the lease variables and the calculation.
There is $1350 of lease cash on this model.

If you are happy with the selling price, the rest of it looks god.

$426 Does NOT include the tax payment of ~$34/month, with that I get to my $460.
Tony was telling me that apparently some people were able to get a '16 Touring for $30k flat or even less. That would be nice! I was looking specifically for a white exterior with a beige interior, and there were not too many of those in the Phoenix Metro. AZ taxes and fees also seem to be way higher than some of the numbers quoted by CA buyers. At least AZ property taxes are 0.6-0.7% of home value....which translates to being 49th state in education. You win some, you lose some

Hello- i am a first time car buyer and i am looking to lease a 2 year honda accord LX. My local dealer is offering the lease at:
    58/month,
2999 down + first month payment
    595 acquisition fee
    $349 doc fee
    + sales tax, registration extra

The MSRP is 23,840, and on true car they have average paid as 21,041 and true car estimate at 20,539. Can I offer a true car estimate at 20,539 and then hope they go closer to the average paid of 21K and then they can figure out the lease payments from there? It just seems that the lease payments of 58/month seem pretty low as it is. But I think I can get lower if their MSRP is almost 2k higher than the average price paid? Sorry i don't know much about negotiating and I'm trying to do it online with the sales manager, so i have been emailing a few people about prices. Can I make an offer online over email to them - is that normal?
  • bammargera3176bammargera3176 Member Posts: 16
Also, i was emailing with another salesman and he gave me a $68/month for 12k, and then he said its 143/month for 15K. that equates to 1632 total for 24 months for $68 and $3432 for 24 months for $143. Doesnt it make sense to just take the 12k car and just pay the 15 cent penalty? I think i would go at most 14k miles a year. the penalty would be .15x2000 = only $300?
  • steveinocsteveinoc Member Posts: 36

The numbers seem off. $68/mo for 12K vs. $143/mo for 15K.

What is the sales price they're using for these calculations?
  • kyfdxkyfdx Moderator Posts: 267,518
It would be a lot easier to price your leases with only 1st payment due at signing. That $2999 down payment is making your payment seem cheap, but in reality, it's still over $200/mo.

So how do you suggest I go over this with the sales guy on email? Should i start with the MSRP and compare it to the true car and say people are paying about 2k less from the MSRP for the average price, and then see what the lease payment is after that?

Hi, I'm looking to lease an Accord EX sedan with MSRP of $25,895. I'll need 36mo, 15K/yr, and only want to pay 1st payment and DMV charges at lease signing. Can you give me a monthly price, with tax?
Also, please let me know the selling price, adjusted CAP cost, money factor and residual used to calculate the payment. Thanks!

Let them make the first offer.. then see how that price compares with what you want, then bargain from there. I just made up the numbers above. Use the ones that match the car you are interested in.

So I finally got a response from someone for a 2016 Honda LX Sedan with MSRP of 20,275. Here is what he told me:

    Vehicle 2016 Honda Civic LX
    Stock # 161863
    Payment Monthly $215
    Months 36/months
    Mileage Per Year 15k
    Money Down $215
    Lease # 36848

    MSRP $20,275
    Cap cost $18,088
    Lease end value $12,165
    Lease money factor 0.00070

Not really sure where to go from here or what to say next. I'm assuming I can get the payment down to below $200/month but I don't know what to say. Any help?
  • bammargera3176bammargera3176 Member Posts: 16
I also got this response from another person:

I also got this response from another person:

    2016 Honda Civic LX - $260/month, 36 months, 15k miles/year, $0 down - only first months payment due
    2016 Honda Civic LX - $225/month, 36 months, 15k miles/year, $1,389 down

have you switched to the Civic now? if so, the first quote is much better; don't you see that?

Just started looking at a 2016 Honda Accord EX-L (no sensing or navigation) in PA. Here's what was offered for a 36mo/12k lease:

    MSRP 29,405
    Net Cap Cost 26,265
    Residual 55%
    MF .00003
Due at signing $526 (first month plus $220 tag fee):

    Monthly payment: $281 + 9% tax = $306

The net cap cost seems high based upon what I am reading here. Invoice is $27,134, so I should be targeting 2,000-3,000 under that, right?

The MF on the Accord this month is .00038; using your MSRP and net cap cost, I get $296/mo plus tax; a little higher than your calculation.

Yes, for purchases we suggest $2-3K under invoice. However, that number may include incentives that are not compatible for leasing. $1850 lease cash on the EX-L this month.

    My experience

    2016 Accord Touring

    $1811 Down (Bank/DMV/Other Standard Fees)

10K Miles a year via HFS

    $369 with tax.

    18,100 Residual.

They wouldn't throw in All Season Mats. Bleh.

Insurance skyrocketed with Gieco, decided to dump them and go with Allstate. Doesn't pay to be a long standing customer with anyone (actually, it does, but for them, not you,) it's always a game of switching, whether insurance or Cable TV, etc.

What prices were used to get that payment?

Congrats and enjoy the new Accord!
