Make sure your at 1500 to 2000 below invoice price after taking in consideration the 995 pre delivery ( BS ) charge into account.

To hit the 2000 below invoice price mark you need to be 3k below invoice before the pre del charge is added to this sale. .

If you are confused or feel your getting taken leave dealership and post back final numbers. Do not rush any sale unless your numbers and target price have been met. End of the month is when best deals are had.... Especially this month which ends the 2nd Quarter for car companies.

    Good LUCK

Your first lease deal is $812 below invoice price. Invoice price w dest/ charge on exl model = $27,059

The Accord EXL model only comes w/ sensing if you get the NAV.

    That invoices for $28,049 plus 835 D/C= ...................................$28,884 .

Minus 3k off this price ( 28,884 )and that's your target price ......$25,884.

Once dealer ads on the doc fee / pre del charge your back at 2k below invoice maybe lower.

    Pre-delivery charge: $995

How does this get to be customary in Florida? Ridiculous

Two local dealers said they would accept the deal.

2016 Honda Accord sedan EXL w/ nav & sensing
    36/15k lease

    Msrp $31,xxx
    Price $26,500 + tax + tag
    0 down
    329/mo out the door
They had me make 1st payment today of $329 (35 remaining)
Buyout was $16,8xx at end of lease
No dealer fee or prep , etc
I think it turned out to be a good deal. They commented it was $1700 below invoice.

I got a online quote for the 2016 Accord Sedan LX model (without sensing/add-ons; the basic one) from couple of dealers.

The selling price are all around $20K (including the destination fee: $835)
    doc fee of $300-400
MD %6 state sales tax is about $1,200
    DMV fees are $300-400
    OTD are about $22K

I will not be financing, but will be buying the car in full. I saw other people get OTD about 19500-21500. I was wondering if I should try a better deal.

    Thanks so much!

Looking to purchase a EX-L V4 in south florida

Emailed a couple dealers the best pricing I could get was

    Selling price: $24800
    Dealer fee: $799
    Battery/tire: $6.50
    Lemon law: $2.00

+TTL however, i'll actually be registering the car in illinois.

Should I be aiming for a lower price or is this a decent deal? Thanks!

I signed a lease on June 6th for a 2016 Sport with Sensing. My deal is a little odd because is includes a wheel/tire warranty and some negative equity from my trade, but I figured I'd share the details for the sake of comparison.

36 months, 15K miles per year
    MSRP - $26900
    Purchase Price - $22685
    Wheel/tire warranty - $498
    Neg trade equity - $722.67
    Acq fee - $595
    Doc fee - $75
DMV, tire and inspection fees - $222.50
    NY state tax at 7% - $811.80

    Gross cap cost - $25589.02
Cash due at signing - $634.31 (includes first pmt)
    Adjusted cap cost - $25289.78
    Residual - 54%
    MF - .00038
    Payment - $314.12

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to calculate the tax in NY so the following are my estimations, but if I didn't have the negative equity my payment would have been roughly $295 and without the tire/wheel warranty my payment would have been roughly $278.

I thought it was a decent deal. I may have been able to do a little better in the sale price but this dealer was giving me about $750 more for my trade than the others. Ultimately, I'm happy with it!

Hey guys, thx for so valuable information.
I live in MD and plan to get my Accord EX-L by the end of month.
    I received an offer for
    $23,474 sales price
    $835 destination fee
    Processing Fee $299
    Tax $1,476
    MVA Tag & Title $279
    OTD: $26,364
I saw someone (sorry forgot about which page) got this car in March for OTD $25,100 with College Grad offer ($500) in VA.
Should I try to negotiate a lower price than that? (Does $24500 sound good?) BTW, I am also a college grad.
    Thanks for any reply!

Hi Everyone, I'm new to this forum. Interested in buying an Accord EXL w/o Honda sensing.

I read in some of the posts from May that there were some dealer cash incentives. Do those still exist for the month of June or did they expire?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I bought a honda accord EX-L no sensing on march $23800 at honda woodbridge Virgnia

    dealer fee $599
    tax 4.17 % of 23800
    tag $100
    college rebate $500

    OTD with college rebate $25100
    without college rebate $25600

Remember that was march. For this month June, I believe that the dealer will go down the price. I think you can negotiate down to $23000 for EX-L no sensing. If adding tax, tag and dealer fee, It is not more than $25000 OTD for virginia / Maryland residents. This is a best time of year to buy a new car. Good luck.
Finally found this quote, thanks for the post @ryan_tran
I think I'll be looking for the same or lower price:)
But the thing is, I currently live in MD and I'm moving to DE very soon. I haven't got my DE address yet. Guess it would be very pesky if I buy in VA with my MD address, and then transfer to DE.

I have been following this thread for awhile and I'm ready to get the wife a new Accord. Thanks for all the great info! I have a deal working and am waiting to see what the dealer is going to charge me for the Pro Pac as it's on the car we are after.
    2016 Accord EX-L
    MSRP 29,505
    Price 24,500
OTD without the pro pac would be 26,824 in No.Calif.

Do you think it would make that much difference to wait until the last couple of days of June?

    Hi,

I got this price for a 2016 EX-L with navi and sensing

    $25,144.77 price
$996.00 accessories (Mudguards, Wheel Locks, Trunk Tray, 3m Door Edge Film, Tint)
    $599.00 admin fee
    $1,980.23 tax
    $80.00 title & lemon

    $28,800.00 drive out price

I don't have the tax and base price exactly right because we agreed on a drive out price but it should be close.

    Is this a good deal?

Till a couple of days ago, MSRP for EX-L was shown as $29,505.
Now I see it at $28,670 (The difference is $835, which I believe, reflects the destination fee).
Does it mean the invoice price is also, now, reduced by $835 bringing it to $26,225?

    Hello Everyone,
Looking at a new touring model. Does the following sound like a good deal? Or should I try to go lower. I think I'm around 2600 under invoice. In the Baltimore area. Doesn't include 299 processing fee and no rebates.

2016 Honda Accord Touring (A6) 4dr Sedan Stock

    MSRP: $35,515
    Savings: -$5,573
Your Price: $29,942 (includes destination fees)

You have to go one extra step to get the full MSRP or invoice on Edmunds. Nothing has changed. MSRP and invoice include destination.

Hi there! Well, times like this, I really miss my dad--he was my go-to for help with car buying--but now I'm turning to a website he always trusted.

I'm shopping (in New Jersey) for a 2016 Honda Accord LX with Sensing and have gotten some prices but am having trouble figuring out what the real invoice price is versus some nonsense they are telling me at the dealership. Here's my best offer to date:

2016 Honda Accord LX with Sensing

    Car: $20,395
    Destination: $ 835
    Tax (7%) $1,486.10
    Doc. Fee: $ 214
    Tire tax $ 30.00 ($7.50 per tire)
    Motor Veh. $ 301.00

OTD: $23,238.60 (but then she dropped it to $22,700 when I didn't agree).

I hemmed and hawed and she played some games going back and forth to manager for me and came back with a final OTD price of $22,700 and not a drop lower (I asked). So I thanked her and went home to do some more research.

So, is $22,700 out the door a good price for this car? Thanks in advance for any help and sorry if I messed this up--I'm new here! :)

Your deal is 1574 below invoice price minus the doc fee of $214 puts you @1360 below invoice. A ok deal in NJ. If you buy closer to the end of the month and get more dealerships involved you will do better.

Thanks for your reply, Brian. I'll hold off until next week and am currently waiting to hear back by email from several other dealers in a 50-mile radius. Do you think $22,000 OTD is a realistic price for the Accord LX and Sensing? You're like the car shopping guru!

    @stever............ TY

@allie711........... depending on which dealers are still looking to meet ending sales numbers $300 to 500 would be real nice in NJ. Getting $700 or 22,000 OTD would be a very good deal in NJ. Make 22k your buying number with all contacted dealers.

Email / Call at months end .............. Auto-Sport , DCH Paramus , Garden State, Madison , Joyce , Burns, Route 23, Honda of Tenafly Honda in addition to your dealers...........................Good luck

$24500 OTD EX-L without honda sensing is possible. Remember, this is a good time to buy new car because of july 4. I bought EX-L without sensing and I was regret. I should buy with honda sensing. Add $1000 or $1500 for honda sensing. It is more fun to drive with honda sensing.

    Hi Brian and everyone else!

I am in the market for a 2016 Honda Accord Ex. I am in the Los Angeles, CA area. I just received an offer for:

    Doc Fee: $80
    CA License Fee: $350
    Selling Price: $23,000
    Tax (9%): $2,070
    OTD: $25,500

Comes with Splash Guards & Wheels Locks. What do you think of the price? I have the choice to either purchase the car now or wait until after the 2017 Accords come out and try to re-negotiate a price then.

Thank you so much for your help!

Your Ex Accord is $1971 below invoice price minus the doc fee. If you wait a few months same vehicle will be cheaper. A lot of buyers in your area CA are buying between 2000 and 3k below invoice. I'd look for that monster deal now on a 2016 model. CA has the best pricing on Accords in the country. Take advantage of it Now.

Santa Monica Honda has been selling at months end last 2days, last day between 2k and 2500 below invoice on almost all models they have in stock.

Check out below dealers..... they have been knocking pricing out of the park

Manly , Galpin, Norm Reeves Irvine and Cerritos.

Let me know how you make out

I will go ahead and give all the dealers you quoted a call. How much do you anticipate I would save below invoice if I wait a few months?

I'm gonna try to aim for the $3k and let you know.

Waiting 3 months will only limited your options on certain models and colors. Negotiate at the end of this month for your best deal. Email and call each dealers internet manager. Telling Each I buy today for 3k below invoice on x model. Maybe you might have to come down of your price a few hundred to make deal. Only you can answer that question. Your the shopper and negotiator. I'm the expert advice giver.

I'm in 100% agreement with you. If I'm spending 25k I want my 1st choice. Modern steel is Hot . My 2013 EXL V-6 was Modern steel w/ grey leather interior. Dealer thru in splash guards, door edge, and pin striped it for me. I tinted all 4 windows 35%. Looked real sharp.

2k to 3k below invoice is your target price to buy. Dealers with limited EX models on lots might not sell as low as the LX, or Exl models. Keep that in mind.

In addition to your Honda dealers try mine.

Kastner, Yuba city, Auburn , AutoNation Roseville ,

In SAC. the only dealers I get feed back on are University and Mel Rapton Honda . You could try Victory Honda and South city. Any other dealers around your area I'm not familiar with.

The further you extend your dealers and price inquiry the better you will do. Asking for a 3k below invoice sale needs to be addressed by telling all dealers for that price I buy today and will give a credit card deposit to hold. . ...........................Good Luck

Both deals are good . I'd shop around these 2 prices the last 2 days, last day this month for better pricing. get more dealerships involved.

Nav and sensing are optioned together . Its all or nothing. I posted a few up Santa Monica Honda sells a few dollars cheaper at the very end of the month. Maybe this month will be even better due to the 2nd ending sales quarter for car companies.

Keep @sacshopper posted on any good deals that are by you maybe dealers north of you. He is in the market too. The EXL model usually sells cheaper than the EX model due to supply and demand on dealers lots

Hi @brian125 I don't have a break up of those fees. But the deal is now sweetened to $24,666.26 - OTD all inclusive

Hi @brian125 and other experts here,

I am looking to purchase an Accord EX-L and were asking around for prices. Most of the competitive quotes I received for this month are about 2500 below invoice price. Then, someone gave me a quote for before TTL price of 23900 so about 3160 below invoice if no additional document fee in Los Angeles, CA.

At first I was floored by the price, then with a little more investigation (mostly suggested by other dealers by asking them whether they can beat the price) it seems that it's either bait or switch (oh, the one we meant to sell you is gone now that you are here) or the quote is actually for a car with lots of dealer installed options but they gave me quote without the included options (so the actually car might be 1-2000 more than 23900).

I was a little stunned when I realized there are so many tricks/games dealers play to get your foot in the door (and then to have you leave in anger). My question is, what's the best way to help me assess whether a deal is legitimate? Is it to ask for a bill of sale when you ask them to finalize the numbers? How likely is it that they aren't willing to do something like that?

Thank you for all the experts here. I plan to take whatever that's suggested to make the deal the last 2 days of the month to get the best deal possible and get as close to 3000 below invoice as possible.

Just to be clear the 2-3k is taken off the dealers invoice price including the $835 destination charge correct?

So for Accord EX without sensing $24,136 plus $835 = $24,971 minus 2-3k

    With sensing EX $25,048 plus $835 = $25,883 minus 2-3k

Your dealers invoice price plus destination fee is correct. When you email / call dealers minus your target price of 2500 , 2800 or 3k of that invoice price ( which should includes dest/ charge ) give that buying number to all dealerships for the sale that day .
