EXL Invoice price...............................$26,224 ................. Nada pricing
    Destination charge ...................................835
    ...............................................................................................
    .............................................................$27,059
Minus CA target price........................- 2000 to 2700
    .................................................................................................
..............................................................$24,659. .........excludes taxes and other OTD fee's
add state tax 8 or 9%..........................=
    add doc fee...............................................75
Dmv , Plate , Reg fee..................................?

Your final tally should be very close to your OTD price. Most dealers can give you a close estimated price of new plates and Reg or a plate transfer. In NY its 75 dollars compared to $275

Just a quick question: do all the new cars get 2 keys with the remote buttons and 1 valet key? Thanks!

Yes unless you get the push start feature then you get 2 Fob's
Thank you so much, @brian125!! I bought a new Accord last week, and the salesman only gave me one fob key (with the remote buttons) and a valet key. I asked him if I could have two keys, but he told me that “the LX model comes with only one key…” I feel a little strange, but since I was not sure if all new cars have two keys, I didn’t ask for the second key. I was wondering if I could still ask him to give me the second key or I will have to buy a fob key (about $130) at a Honda dealer. Thank you so much!

I'd ask for that second FOB anyway.....Sounds like a bad deal on Honda's part.

Calling recent LX Accord buyers . 1 Fob or 2 with your purchase ?

    DMV LIC $263.00
    DOC FEE $80.00
    CA TIRE FEE $8.75
    DMV ET FEE $20.50
    SALES TAX $2,159.50

    OTD TOTAL $27,131.75

Looks good so far. Either shop this price around for a lower one OR your set with a good starting offer.

I'm in NE Ohio and got the following offer from a dealer for the 16 Accord EX, no sensing.

    $22,472
    + $250 documentation fee
    $22,722
    +$1533.74 tax based on 6.75%
    $24,255.74
    + $33.50 Tag/Title Fee
    $24,289.24 OTD

Seems like a very solid offer and a Cleveland area dealer said that she would match. Others won't touch it and one was even rude about it when presented. Should I pull the trigger or can I get lower? It's about where i wanted to be and don't want to miss out on the 16's since there isn't much difference between this and the 17's.

Thanks for help from brian125, as well as smc99 and other kind people.
I got my ex-l w/ sensing this evening, at a base price of $25,9xx (including destination, excludes other fees) in Sport Honda, MD.
It should turn out to be a very happy time for me, however, I found the car shaking when idling. I arrived the dealership really late and didn't test drive the vehicle. Last time when I visited I did test drive and there's no issue, but the mileage is high on that vehicle so I told the salesman to get a low mileage for me.
I text message to the salesman to let him know the issue once I found it. He said I can take to the service, but that's not what I want to do, to a brand new car. Any suggestions guys? Can I change another car? (I signed a sheet of Maryland purchase protection.)

    Hello All,

Got my Accord Sport 2016 today after a month of hunting around and talking to atleast 12 dealers. I live in North Atlanta area.

    OTD - $22750

The negotiation was all done for an Accord Sport without sensing and finally boiled down to $22750. This car is for my wife, she is a new driver so gave thought around the one with honda sensing that came out to be $23750 OTD.

I have no idea what the sticker price was until i saw the car today it had $26050 on it.

This was the best I could negotiate and get, i am just believing it a good deal. Let me know your thoughts.

    Hello all,

Here is the offer I am trying to land.

2016 Honda Accord Sport MSRP 25,900

I have a 2006 Nissan Altima with 120,000 miles that I will trade in and put 3,000.00 down payment.

I am aiming to get 17,000k Out the door price with the above trade in and 3,000.00 down payment.

I will be getting the car for 22k (including taxes).

    Good deal?

Not many 2016 Accord Tourings left in the Houston region. I'm going to take my chances and see how aggressive the dealers will get at the beginning of September. Perhaps offering $27000 or $28000 will be enough by then?

As of a couple hours ago I just bought a 2016 Accord EX-L V6 (Basque Red...Maroon in real colors haha) w/o Nav and Honda Sensing. I'm happy, but I'm honestly not sure I got the best deal. Here's the break down:

    Base Price: $26,607
Accesories: $349(Fought down from 500....still over paid...but incl. rear cargo mat, wheel locks, mud flaps)
    Destination Fee: $835
Car Trade In: $1500 (Depressing, but it's the best I could get for my 2005 Mazda 3 s)
Balance After Trade-In and Accessories: $26,291
    Sales Tax: $1,643.19
    Dealer Inventory Tax: $58.72
    Inspection & Title Fee: $49.72
    License Fee: $133.50
    Documentary Fee: $150
    Final OTD Price: $28,326.16
~Final OTD Price w/o Trade-In: $29,900 (fuzzy math for including tax increase)

    MSRP As Built: $31,879
    http://automobiles.honda.com/tools/build-price/summary.aspx?ModelName=Accord Sedan&ModelYear=2016&ModelID=CR3F8GJNW&EColor=R-548P&IColor=IV&Selected=ACCOR16073,ACCOR16086,ACCOR16059

Note this in Houston, TX and a pretty reputable dealership. Went in there at 45 min before closing, bargained for over an hour....this was the best I could come out with. Only reason I bought tonight is because Houston is a major market for Used Cars due to all the flooding. There might be better deals out there this late in the model year, but feel free to use this as a price point if you're buying in Harris County. Got my initial quotes through TrueCar as a starting point.

That said, first car purchase! Whoop! Now I have more than just a a CD player and Radio for music...plus I feel like a sorcerer with remote start haha.

Also, I fun little trick to use on your accord, none of the dealers even knew you could do this haha. Works on 2016s!

    Folks,

Currently I am in market (NE OHIO) to buy 2016 Accord LX with Honda sensing. Below is the quote that I got from 2 dealers. Wanted to take your feedback before making my mind to buy the car.

    MSRP: 24,840
    Sale Price: 20,700
    Heated Leather seats(after market) - 1,200
    Doc Fee: 250
    Tax @ 8% = $1,772.00

    Doc Fee = $250.

Let me know if there is any room for negotiation on the sale price. Please note that I got a quote for same car with sale price of 20,305 FROM ANOTHER DEALER during JULY 4TH sales event. I am not able to get to that price now.

Above quote.......................20,700 excluding seats puts you at 1854 below dealers invoice after doc fee consideration

The other dealers price of $20,300 with or without seats ?? Call them tell dealer your buying at the end of the month but 20,300 gets your business today................ Then wait to the end of this month making your best deal.

If dealer is using the aftermarket katzkin seats.............. it cost dealer about 700/800 dollars.

    Hello Team,

Back in the market again for a Honda Accord 2016 w Sensing, I have seen a lot of people say that this price is below x below invoice , how do we arrive at that number.

I am in NorCal mainly Bay Area and looking for some dealers who might have these cars available at good deals, I have had no luck with dealers around her .

All I have received is an MSRP of 24480 , prIce of 20,395 inclusive of destination and handling.

However this price doesn't include taxes fees and options.

What is the price I should be asking from dealers , I have asked them to send me a complete quote and most of them say come visit us . I don't know how to fight this response to get more info from them.

Any help you can provide will be extremely helpful.

    Regards
    Niket

    Hey Brain,

    Thanks for the info.

I had no luck in getting what I wanted today. Visited 2 dealers out of which one had the 2016 Accord LX with sensing, matched the price (20,300) however they had only 1 car in the lot which we didn't like because of the color. :disappointed: (said the sale price would be 21,300 if they have to get the color we wanted from another dealer!!)

The second dealer didn't matched the price. They don't have any LX with Sensing in the stock. Their sale price is 20,700

After a little research I found that there are less than 8 cars with Sensing in LX trim in the 100 mile radius!! So dealers not coming down on the price.

Shall I wait till labor day or Thanksgiving to get similar deal on 2017 ?? Appreciate your suggestions

    Thanks

Sorry to hear that your shopping did not result in a purchase.

At this time of year, inventory starts to become scarce. Popular trim levels and colors become hard to find, and dealers are aware of this. At that point, the dealer has the leverage and the transaction prices start to creep up.

If you are looking for an LX with Sensing in a specific color, chances are you'll have to pay more to get that exact car. If you can relax your color choices a bit, then you can get a better price.

smarttechie.................... Michael is correct in above post. There are a lot of LX models left but not Sensing models.

Unless a dealer has your model, color that good price of 20,300 may not be do-able. I would still Contact 10 or 15 of the closest dealers let them know X model , price , color (maybe give dealer a 2 color option. ) gets a immediate sale leave your number. Also Send out emails to dealers with same request. . Good deals are usually made on the last 2 days, last day of the month. After contacting dealers Then wait till something pops up or you could pay a little more to drive what you want now. Try negotiating again the $20,300 price at months end. If a dealer can swap cars with another dealer adding another 300 to 500 dollars is still a bargain BUT not another 1k onto the 20,300 price............ that's BS.

If you don't mind a road trip round up all the dealers within 100 miles with your model and negotiate with there Internet manager.

Pricing on a 2017 model may be a lot higher than buying a 2016 model.

    Hello Brian,

Thank you for the pointer , I had a look around and not a lot of Honda Accords with Sensing left and not too many color options , hence I am thinking about Honda Accord EX 2016 w/o sensing . Would you happen to know the invoice price on Accord 206 ex without sensing and does the number of 2700 - 2900 below invoice still work for accord .

Your area regardless of model remains @2200 to as high as 3k below . Find the right dealers at the end of this month and the higher # can be achieved.

    HI everyone.

I call bunch of dealer near my place . Harvey Louisiana 70056.

Most of them has the price for ACCORD LX 2016 is 20.835 ( price + destination ).

The best i got so far is 20.100 ( price and destination ) + 385 ( tittle and fee ) + tax. They give basic accessories worth 600 ( as they said ).

How do you think about the price.

Should I wait until this friday 29th and saturday 30th to bargain with them. How much I should bargain ?

Thank you so much everyone !

    Hi all,

I am almost finished putting my spreadsheet together that has information from 18 dealerships around the Wichita Kansas area (up to K.C. and down to O.K.C.). I am interested in a new Accord Touring, but I am wondering what pricing is around this area.

I also am curious how the introduction of the 2017 models affects the price of the 2016 cars. Obviously, the 2016 should be cheaper, but how much cheaper should one expect for each compared to the invoice price? At some point, I expect that it may be better to buy the 2017 considering resale value etc.

Right now I am counting (35) 2016 Touring models and (5) 2017 Touring models in my area.

    Thanks!

here's the questioned answered. I can buy a 16 model for 2500 below invoice or do I want the new 17 model at invoice to 500 below invoice. good call. I'd go for a 17 model at that price and have

Torn between two cars - wondering what the best price (in Georgia) one could get on the Honda Accord with Navi is, or would I be looking at MSRP. This would be cash, no financing.
