Talahasee Florida I got it yesterday , exl fwd 27150 with aceccery back up sensor (worth 700 that' what they told me ).
Dealer deliver fee 599
Electronic register filling fee 59
Florida sale tax 1668
County tax 50
Title :366。
otd 29904
And my uncles exl fwd bought it 2 weeks ago in Panama City
28000 with aceccery :body side molding splash guard , wheel lock , nitrogen , cargo tray. ($1500 )
His otd 31800
There is a CALTEX resistal $600 in his paper we don't know what it is ,
Invoice on the EX-L FWD is $27,602 and the TMV average is a few hundred bucks more at $27,914. Those numbers include destination. So your selling price is pretty good for Florida.
But your dealer made some back off the doc fees - Florida is notoriously bad for high doc fees.
Not sure about the sensor - it sounds overpriced but if it saves you one bumper, that'll pay for it. But you already have a backup cam so ....
CALTEX resistal is "mop & glow". Wax and Scotchgard in other words and it's not worth $60 to me, much less $600. Sounds like your uncle overpaid for the accessory package too.
Enjoy the new rides!
We just purchased a silver EX-L AWD (without navigation) with the help of this forum. After seeing the prices that people in Iowa and Boston had gotten on this forum, my original plan was buy in one of those areas and ship the car or pick it up. However, shipping from Iowa would have been $1200 (i had anticipated $600-800). And Boston (Boch Honda) was far and away the best deal at
$26625 plus $399 doc fee plus $150 plate running fee to NJ + TTL, however Boston requires two trips. One to sign the papers and another to pick up the vehicle.
I then emailed a handful of dealers in NJ to see how much I'd save by driving to Boston.
Mahwah Honda: 28621 + doc + TTL
Rt 23 Honda: 27625 + 399 doc + TTL
Autosport Honda: 27171 + 369 doc + TTL
Garden State Honda: 27614 + 369 doc + TTL
DCH Paramus: 27719 + doc + TTL
Planet Honda: 27350+ 369 doc + TTL
Hamilton Honda: 27898 + 369 doc + 449 accessories + TTL.
I didn't try to play one off the other to save a few pennies. Didn't want the stress and I was happy with the price.
We ended up going with Autosport for an OTD of 29815. Very pleased. We spent $325 over our Boston quote. And Autosport made this simple and easy.
Manufacturers already charge a destination fee and manufacturers pay dealers to prep cars ("deliver") for customers.
Car: HONDA CRV EXL with Navigation (FLORIDA)
Market value: 30845
Savings: 3926
Selling price: 26919
Deli Fees: 689
Tx: 1709
Cash price OTD: 29474.37
Another dealer quoted for the same for: 29184 OTD...
Please let me know whether this is a good price.
Bob
The numbers are invoice of $29,748 and TMV is $1,100 below invoice at $28,606.
So $26,900 is a good price. Let's call it $27,500 to account for the doc fee - still is over $2,000 off invoice.
Time to pull the trigger.
Is this something new . Sounds absurd to me. What is the reasoning for that?? I've sent thousands of buyers to Bosh Honda from out of state.
I been recommending Auto-Sport Honda to buyers for many years in these forums . They are a class act and most months beat most of there competition in NJ. Hamilton Honda use to be good . I no longer recommend them to buyers for the reason you posted . All there vehicles tend to have 400 to 800 dollars worth of add on's.
DCH OldBridge is a well run excellent dealership but pricing is not as good as the bigger dealerships .

I bought CRV 2016 EX FWD. At 26400 OTD. I think i got to where i wanted. While i was financing with the rate of 1.65%, they offered me 0.9 rate if i was going to purchase the HondaCare. Which was 1300. Also gave me $150 off. I am happy with my purchase. I dont know HondaCare was a good idea to purchase.
People's comfort levels differ - I would have waited a few years on the warranty, but you're covered now once the factory warranty expires and you got the name brand HondaCare warranty instead of a third party company. That's a good thing and "free" money at 0.9% is sweet too.
What am I forgetting ... oh yeah, Congrats!
Got the below quote for 2016 Honda CRV EX AWD in Michigan
Selling Price: 24500
tax : 6%
total price for OTD: 26319
color: Probably would choose RED ( or what would be the best color to choose for MI) but there are no added options that the dealer had agreed to.
can I pull the trigger or wait for better price?
You've probably seen a lots of comments about waiting until the last day or two of the month, or right now, waiting for the Memorial Day sales. But with that quote, I don't know that you're going to be able to beat it much.
(One of my cars was red when I lived in the UP, and it was easy to find in the snow.
I received a quote for 2016 CR-V EX-L AWD in Bay Area, CA for $29,984.70 out the door. Now that we are closer to Memorial Day, how am I doing? This is one of the lowest quote that I received. What should be the target for this particular trim?
So figure out the selling price and compare that number to TMV. Hopefully it'll be a good bit lower, since your taxes are a bit steep out that way.
Same invoice and MSRP numbers here. TMV is practically the same as invoice at $32,242.
The doc fee isn't unusual but it's a bit high. Backing out the taxes and fees, it looks like the selling price is $32,218.
So I'd say the deal is average.
There's a week left in the month; might be able to pop $500 to $1,000 off the quote if your folks stall a few days. Might shop the quote at Metro or Garden State Honda too. @brian125 may tell you to hold out for $1,500 off invoice, he knows the area well.
Good luck!
DCH Paramus , Auto-Sport, and Garden State Honda you should check out next week.

I have just worked a deal on a 2016 Honda Touring FWD and I need your input on the deal. Is it a good one?
Honda CRV Touring FWD MSRP $32995 (White with beige interior)
Total Dealer add-ons: $1,970
Window Tint $395
Door Edge Guards $395
Pin Stripe $195
PRO PAC $985 (includes splash guards, wheel locks, trunk tray)
State Sales Tax in Texas 6.25% (They are kinda secretive about the total car price, but I concentrated on the out the door price)
TTL (estimated) $100
Total Drive Out Cost: $31,500
I didn't really want or need dealer add-ons, but every dealer in the DFW area has the same add-on package. Seems like price fixing to me. They didn't give me dealer fees, but the OTD price seems to be very good.
So yeah, you have a mess of confusing fees in there but the OTD price looks good to me too. I *think* you're about $2,000 below invoice on the selling price.
White and beige - perfect. The crazy dealers over here seem to think everyone wants a black car.
If you want to try to run the tables, you could wait for the Memorial Day sales, but it'll be busy. Or you could beat the rush and enjoy touring around over the holiday in your new ride. I'd go for it myself.
Now let's just assume it's "used", with 20 miles and in outstanding condition. TMV dealer retail in that scenario is $30,421. That would account for a little of the year's deprecation (but with the dreaded second owner tag).
Looking at True Cost to Own, a year's depreciation on a 2015 Touring AWD is ~$5,400. That number assumes 15,000 miles though.
Fun exercise, but in the real world it often seems that these leftovers are overpriced. A great deal around the forums is $1,500 to $2,000 off invoice. If you can do that on a 2016, then I'd want another $500 to $1,000 pop off last year's model. Kind of funny that most dealers don't see it that way, even though they may even be getting extra bonus money from the manufacturer to clear the lots of old inventory.
I'd love to see you get down around $29,000 and maybe your dealer will surprise me and do it. But I don't have high hopes.
You can check the build date on the door pillar and then remind the dealer that the battery is a year old, the fluids have been sitting there and the tires may be flat spotted. Can't hurt.
Different people, different tastes, different choices. Makes the world go around.
Looking for the best price on CRV AWD EX-L - any relevant advice or dealer referral will be appreciated - can travel any nearby states (not working for the next 1 wk). thanks.
Since that's the average, your goal is to beat the average.
Invoice is $24,552, but I'm showing a $600 advertising fee for your zip. That's a legit charge passed on to the dealers in some areas but I don't believe in paying for their ads.
Not sure about your Honda dealers. I've gotten some Kia quotes from over in Gilbert in recent weeks and their pricing wasn't especially competitive.
With all that in mind, and knowing that the goal is to beat TMV, I'd say you should shoot for a selling price of $23,000 and then add some fees and taxes to the tune of ~$2,500.
So I'd be happy with $25,500 OTD. Whether the dealer would be happy to sell you at that number - well, guess we'll find out. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
Below is my list of Honda dealers I use to make my best deals in Boston . Some months one dealer can do better than others that's why you need to call every one on this list your willing to drive to.
Prime, Bernardi, Bosh Honda west , Bosh norwood, Honda gallery, Commonwealth, Weymouth, Herb Chambers, Honda cars of Boston, Peters Honda of Nashua , Rockingham , Hyannis
Target price on the CRV by may,31st. 1500 to 2k below invoice range with 2k below invoice being a top price.
Target price for Accords 2k to 3k below with a 3k below being a very best price.
Target price for Civics...... Invoice price . A model you want that's not on dealers lot means No leverage.
Honda cars of Boston , Peters, and Bosh should compete for your business if they have your model on lot.
How you get price leverage on any of these dealers is buying last 2 days, last day of this month. I like to pit Weymouth against Herb Chambers they hate each other . Peters against Honda cars of Boston
23 Telluride SX-P X-Line, 23 Camry XSE
How you play this buying game is to get the upper hand and price leverage. Pitting one dealer against the next.
All this back and forth nonsense about x price and this price means nothing. At the end of this month you will have every dealers attention especially the dealers that need ending sales numbers. That's when the real negotiations start. Get your targeted dealers together 10, 15, 20, 30 .
On may 30th or 31 start your emails and calls to all targeted dealerships Internet mgrs. / dept. Negotiate your price on that day telling each dealer I buy right now for X- price and only that price will get my business . Once dealers agrees, counters, or says no, you move onto the next dealer . Any dealer that counters your offer tell them you will get back to them in 1 hour your calling X, Y, and Z dealerships unless they want the immediate sale for x price
I could call 20 dealers in 30 minutes time and have a sale immediately or 5 decent counter offers, 3 let me talk to my MGR offers, 2 you need to come down to the dealership. That's how easy a sale could go on any last day of any month.
To sum up in plan English your objective is to take your buying area and make your best possible deal on that last day. Don't worry what @brian125 is getting in NY or Joe in MD. Your area will dictate the best price from these dealers at the end. Make your best deal out of the lot or wait another month . That's how you know and gage the best price in your area. for that month. You need no one to tell you what you can or cant get You Know by direct calls and emails to each store. Supply and Demand drives this market
Good luck
23 Telluride SX-P X-Line, 23 Camry XSE
OTD price: $27, 317.44. Iv'e emailed probably 6-8 dealers. I haven't bargained yet. I will see this Memorial day Monday if I get better deals.
P.S.
I've been researching on the internet and found that the New 2017 CR-V's may come in a longer wheel base and 7 seating capacity. If so, it would be difficult to pass on that.
Cheers

Two thousand below invoice is terrific - you live in a great car buying area. My sister is in VA in Shenandoah County and I'm half tempted to fly out to Dulles and visit and drive home in a new rig.
Congrats and thanks for the report (and for the kind words)!
Let us know if you hear any more scuttlebutt about the 2017 CR-Vs.
2016 Honda Civic: Highway Cruising With Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Departure Intervention
The Civic was just redesigned though. Wikipedia says that the next generation Honda CR-V will share its platform with the all-new Civic, but the prediction for that one is 2018.
It's possible that the last year(s) model of the current CR-V generation will gain the feature.
19,995 selling price
$900 destination
$799.50 dealer fee
$139 electronic filling
$1,310.01 taxes
$23,143.50 out the door + tag transfer 60-120 and new tag 300-400
good deal or keep haggling
Yet there's still a certain pull
That makes up for the idiotic dealer and e-filing fees and puts your selling price at $20,934 before the legit taxes and fees.
Enjoy the new ride!
Here is what I got
$26,834.00 CRV EX-L AWD includes destination
296.00 Dealer Processing
- 1,000.00 Loyalty cash (for owning another Honda)
so after loyalty discount total OTD (incliding taxes and all tags) came to 28,200
I also got .9% from Honda finance
I think I got a good one.
