I have a question on an RDX deal in Florida

I've got a trade thats negative equity and I am going to be way over miles so I am buying that in to this vehicle

Here is the numbers I got from the dealer

MSRP 36645

Adj cap before trade 30388 - W trade add 4500

MF .00081 Resudial 57

This is a v6 RDX Base

Was quoted 500+tax sign and drive.

Should I bite?

What do you calc the payments as?

I get $434/mo plus tax with those numbers. I'd confirm the adjusted cap cost with the dealer - if it's sign and drive, then the dealer fee and the acquisition fee needs to be accounted for, as well.

I get $379/mo with tax using the Gross Cap Cost you've listed. Add the doc fee and acquisition fee to that amount, as well.

The number we need is the adjusted CAP cost. That's after fees are added, and subtracting the CAP cost reduction that's left from the $4800, after upfront amounts are paid.

What lease term and how many miles per year are you looking for?

The number you want from the dealer is the adjusted cap cost.

We do not suggest making a large down payment on a lease - just the first payment and DMV / registration costs only.

I picked up my 17 AWD with Tech package about a month ago .  Payment ended up being 411 per month taxes included in sacramento county (7.75). MSRP 41,845
Selling Price 35,246.76
3 year lease 10k mileage per year 
1300 down that included 393.55 in cap cost reduction not included in selling price above.  

Seems like your lease at 390 per month with a slightly lower residual value due to 12k annual mileage is a good deal.  Seems like your selling price is around 34k vs my 35k.  Congratulations.

In Texas, I was offered $381 on a base RDX AWD for 36 months, 12K miles, no down except first payment, with tax credit support. Tax rate here is 6.25% on entire price. MSRP 38,145, discounted $6,000. I was considering a CRV AWD but this RDX deal looks pretty good. Thoughts?

The tax credit probably saves $50/mo. But, no point in giving up part of that money to the dealer, by not negotiating a strong deal. What is the selling price or adjusted CAP cost on their offer?

$32, 145 is their selling price. Acura announced a promo on the base model, 2WD and AWD. Not clear what that is, but they said they are discounting car $6000 from MSRP.

There is a $3750 incentive on this vehicle, which is how they can give $6000 off.

Need a CAP cost of $33,850 to get to $381/mo.
That is $1700 over their sale price.
$595 for acquisition fee.
See how they account for the other $1100. Even with a tax credit, it might not cover all of the tax.

Looks good. I wouldn't make a CAP reduction to lower the payment, but the discount looks great, even considering the $4000 incentive on this model.

So for 2017 FWD Tech with running boards and pro pack for 12k/36mo with MSRP of $42,205, was offered cap cost of $33,580 with $0 down and $399 a month. First payment and MV due at signing in NJ. Options do not seem to add up to the $1860 difference in MSRP. He also said manufacturer to dealer incentive was $5K. Thoughts?

It's hard to say.. Options that are added to the manufacturer's MSRP may not be residualized at the same rate as the base vehicle.

Better to pay less at signing, than more.

Hi. What are the numbers for an RDX with tech package. 36/12. Also any incentives or Mgr rebates to the dealer. 

Also looking to get out of a lease early and have some remaining payments and going to see if it works out.  Would any remaining payments be added to the cap cost of the car after any rebates are removed from MSRP. Any one familiar with how it would be hypothetically structured. I know dealer have many ways of structuring a sale.
