NYC has the 3.7L normally aspirated. Not sure of his mileage.
I have (had) the 3.0 twin turbo 6. There are two versions of it. One with 300HP (the one I had) and the other is the Red Version with 400 HP.
I was pretty much getting about 23 MPG in mixed driving, and I wasn't being gentle. Took one trip where I got almost 30 MPG with my cruise set on 75 MPH.
So, not bad for a powerful car.
The 400 HP version, I have no clue. But, I heard that the MPG on that one isn't far off the MPG of the 300 HP.

Sure is RED
The rest of what I've seen is the typical white/black/silver exterior with black interior.
I'll take RED for a $100 instead, Alex!
Not everyone's cup of tea, but I like it! Thanks to y'all!
@stickguy It is 100% a barge and I have no idea how I would park it on the street in front of my house without it getting hit constantly. That said, I still love it.
I like it so much that I'd get another one in a heartbeat. I've been thinking of ways to acquire a 2nd Infiniti for my wife in the future once mine is paid off. We can keep her Pilot for road trip/weekend when all 5 of us are together. Either a QX70 (FX), QX50 (EX), or maybe a Q50 like @graphicguy just traded it in.

I did like that white Q40. Though I think for about same money, I would take the Volvo wagon instead. Or save $12k and get he Buick. Though the $8k mini S is interesting.
I got some serious jonesing going on to get a different car (it is going on 3 years for us, not counting the kids Jetta). Just obviously, I have no idea what to get!

My problem is that while I have the itch, I don't actually want to get rid of the GTI. Which makes things decidedly more challenging from both a financial perspective, and more practically, a logistics perspective with parking.
In other news, Safeco just jacked up our auto insurance rates by nearly 20% because they re-classified the GTI as being higher cost for repair and higher risk for bad driving. We went from $1800/year to $2200/year - the $1800/year was already high because of my wife's incident hitting the neighbor's house 2 years ago.

But the mpg on that Volvo is pretty low—23 mpg combined, compared to, for instance, 36 combined for a new Civic. Depending on how much you drive, that might cost an extra $500 a year in gas to drive the Volvo—although no doubt about it they are few and far between, with all the good things and not-so-good things that go with that.
I like the QX60 (Pathfinder Based) SUV, but am leery about buying a big SUV like that with a CVT. Plus I'm over a year payment free on our Pilot that I have fanatically maintained. With 93K on the clock it is going to last us well beyond the 100K mark.

If all the pieces fall into place then I will also have a new vehicle, hopefully by the end of the week. Confirmed a bunch of things and heard all the right answers. Stay tuned...

@benjaminh - if I still had my Legacy which averaged 26 mpg, I would have been able to go at least 400 miles to a tank (filling up 2 less times) on RUG instead of the PUG that my 328 hp Infiniti requires. To me, 153 horsepower is worth MUCH more than 6 mpg.

I think the GTI should be classified as a wagon, I know my A3 was, and wagons are like mini-vans when it comes to low insurance rates.
The Alltrack 1.8T gets regular gas too. I'll have to ask my wife what she's averaging.
I wonder if just for fuel economy experiment I could fit the Kia's tires on the Audi. nah, never-mind, Korean bolt pattern is probably not 5-112.

This dealer isn't far from my brother's school and I have to go help him move some furniture into his apartment. I have long liked the Jeep Grand Cherokees and it's one of the few FCA products I would buy. I'm not so sure an SUV as big as that where's Red so well but they have a black one too.
I saw this one on the site. I like it. But mostly wanted to point out one of the incentives included; "low credit score incentive $1,500". Wow. I thought people with bad credit, paid more! I guess that is to offset the higher interest rate?

The new Nissan Rogue Sport is something I want to try since I really do like the Rogue, even the base model we have at Hertz. Just does everything right and the Sport is supposed to be just a bit longer than my Golf. Great size, nice vehicle. But then we have the Buick Encore, another smaller vehicle that finally hits all the buttons with the 2017 refresh. That goofy infotainment center is now integrated into the dash properly and the new front and rear fascia isn't half bad. Saw one at the Buick store earlier today and I was drawn to it. One that I saw had really nice alloys that really complimented the whole vehicle nicely. Only problem with the Encore and Edge is that they're domestics and not yet willing to put my $ down on any domestic to be honest.
The Rogue Sport has been added to the short list. If the changes on the new Golf are nice enough, would put it on the short list to. Saw a pic of the new Jetta dashboard I think and liked it. The infotainment system looked to be more spread out and fit the dash better than my current one. Still a VW fan here.

Oh, and I know I've flip flopped on sedan vs SUV. The Enclave will definitely be replaced with another large 3 row SUV. Wife really wants another one and I have to say it was convenient this weekend being able to move a loveseat and chair from our house to me SIL's.
Short list as of right now:
2018 Traverse or Enclave
Explorer
Pilot
Santa Fe (the bigger one)
QX60 is nice, but no Captain's chairs
MDX too, but Captain's only on fully decked out Advance model and even so has a huge console between them.

28, feel the exact same way about my Golf. Do have the itch right about now, but the Golf has really been a stellar vehicle, absolutely love the size and the way it drives, great color combo. So, what do I do? Nothing is the answer, keep what I've got for the time being, and add to my short list. I know it'll happen again, what happened to me the 10 days I tried and eventually bought the Golf. There will be one vehicle, not sure which, where I'll get in, buckle up, take off and know, just know like I did with the Golf that it would be my next ride. I tried the Golf on December 2nd, 366 days after buying the Tucson. I was in love! Wife brought home her A3 that same day and after driving it a couple of times during those days, I just knew that the Tucson was history. Finally broke down on the 11th and sat down with the sales guy after the second test drive. After agreeing to the swapping of the alloys and other games, they upped the trade-in to what Carmax had printed out for me, we shook hands, and the Tucson was history! Didn't tell the wife either.
Next day, a Friday, left work early and came home to strip the Tucson of all my stuff plus the plate, and the rest is history. And I've never looked back since!
So, I know this will happen again, when it'll hit me like a ton of bricks, which vehicle will be my next. Some things one just knows, something I can't explain but think most in this forum know that feeling I'm talking about. And once that decision is made, there is no looking back, ever!

Have already let the wife know that though I'm not actively looking, and honestly, I'm not, to not be too surprised that within the next few months, I pull the trigger on something a bit nicer than my Golf. Just so she doesn't go batshit crazy on me if in fact this does happen.
My question to all you guys who have spouses, are they always on board when you do purchase something new or just different? I know you single folks don't have to clear large expenditures with anyone else. But us married folk most times do, even if we're spending personal funds and not joint monies. I know how mine reacts and it's always the same. The questions days , weeks and even months afterwards. But just curious if other households are the same. Not all husbands and wives are on the same wave length when it comes to spending money...and on what. Those can be interesting conversations, very interesting!!!

So, enjoy it now, when you can. And never, ever look back! Ever since I turned 62, that's been my new mantra on life. Have seen my dad, and two siblings die too early, too early to enjoy what they worked so hard to get, never to enjoy the fruits of their labor so to speak. I decided back in November that that's not going to happen to me. I don't go hog wild, but if I want something and can afford it, I get it. And don't have to ask for permission, something else which is wonderful after all those years of saving and paying for all the kids stuff that they need. mine are all on their own, a couple making more than I do. For that I'm thrilled, honestly. Now, it's out time, our turn to just have some affordable fun!!!
