Yes, the two suggested dealers are NC and PA. A cargurus search, however, shows me some interesting low-to-no Ti Sports in maryland.

When I get a chance, I'll have to visit a more local dealer to see if the Ti Sport seats will work for me.

Not a car purchase, but I decided to equip the Alltrack with 17"x7.5" Enkei Fujin bright silver wheels, a simple 7-spoke design (easy to clean) that Tirerack had a great deal on as a closeout item. 225/50R17 Michelin Pilot sport A/S 3+ will come with them pre-mounted. Gives me plenty of sidewall still, for those off-road excursions, but should help me keep up with GTI's on the twistiest roadways, as the wheels are very lightweight, and the tires highly rated. I guess no one buys 17" wheels anymore, they were cheaper than the tire on closeout!

Just curious - why the change? Just for something different? What was on your Alltrack before?

I’ve been scouring tire rack and Craigslist for wheels as a winter set for the Golf R. There’s a lot that would work (looking for 18s), but we still want it to look sharp.

At this point, there's no stopping you. Go get 'em tiger! That is a gorgeous SUV in that color combination with the seats you are looking for. Asking almost $10K off MSRP! Even with decent lease support from the factory, that makes up a lot of ground.

Look at picture #29. It was taken in MARCH! That means they've had it since what? Late February and have been paying floor plan interest. Strike a deal. Go pick it up on Saturday!

I am not a fan of black cars, but looks good on that model. I love the interior, but my wife, well, she would not appreciate it! On the right lease deal, I would take it.

Oooooohhhhh.....I really like that. And, are these not selling? $10K off sticker? Sounds like a deal on the surface. But, does the dealer know something we don’t? Is Fiat pulling Alpha from North America?

Still might not stop me after seeing this deal.

For short term leases if the MF is low enough it could make sense to take a bump in MF in exchange for a waived disposition fee. Other than BMWFS I don't know what other captives do that though.

So it's kinda weird, but going through that process of looking at another Type R, and actually coming pretty darn close to buying it...and then driving the Golf R for the past couple days...I have an overwhelming emotion of relief. Something about the reality of almost getting the Type R again somehow made me appreciate the Golf R that much more.

Having said that, I am THIS close to buying that Miata RF. Wife and I had a long discussion last night about being okay going back to 4 cars...temporarily.

The broker we went to yesterday to look at the 911 also had this:

    2016 Macan S

I'm impressed with her restraint, but it certainly holds some temptation for my wife (the red seats in particular).

If you have ever used it as a truck, you will miss having a truck around. Very handy thing when you need to fix the fence and need a few 4x4 posts, some fence pickets, a couple of bags of concrete, etc. Which is not something that comes up every day, but when it does, you will miss having a truck.

I don't recall exactly off the top of my head, but its super low MF and a mid 60% residual. Most good deals seem to be in that 0.9% msrp range. Some better, some worse. If I was offered 0.75% or better, I may risk the whoopin from the wife.

You can haul a lot of stuff (building supplies) in a minivan. But having done that in a minivan, and in a truck, I would much rather have the truck when I need to haul fence posts and 2x4's and bags of cement. Yes, you can get it done with the minivan. But you may very well wish you could borrow back the truck for an hour or two.

Now when I set out for a DJ gig, the minivan simply cannot be beat. Big PA speakers, tripod stands, loads of cables and cords, computers, yeah, this is a job for a minivan. The truck will work, the minivan is (hands down) better. And when I'm going to be rebuilding a fence, or putting a new roof on the storage building, the truck is the right tool for the job. The minivan will work, but is definitely sub-optimal.

if the Stelvio drives about the same, I would take that over the sedan. I just like the utility, and sitting a touch higher is fine. Not much really for low slung sedans now (though I seem to keep buying them!)

I would also take a V60 Volvo instead of an S60, if the price was close. pretty much drives the same, but carries a lot more!

That was a top of the line loaded car then, distronic is fairly rare on these. Probably stickered at 75-80K when new, appears to have every normal option. That's a lot of miles though, these are airmatic cars, "old" engine, in an area known for flood and condition issues. I'd tread with care and have a PPI by a known specialist. If it checks out, that's a lot of car for the money, even in the weird color combo.

Also irks me that they appear to have smeared interior cleaner/dressing on the gauges.

@breld - from what I've read, the Macan (which is an object of my affection. I'd LOVE one!) is built on the old Audi S4 architecture/platform. I can tell you that you will find it invigorating to drive. My Mom drives a "base" V6 Cayenne (Toureg with a Porsche Body & Interior). Porsche really pays attention to every detail. You'll be impressed. I don't know about the price (every Porsche, even used seem way out of my price range & above my pay grade), but if your wife drives this Macan S, she'll be saying BYE BYE Polestar!

The broker we went to yesterday to look at the 911 also had this: 2016 Macan S I'm impressed with her restraint, but it certainly holds some temptation for my wife (the red seats in particular). So for those who know, now that I've had the privilege of driving a 911, how much "Porsche" is baked into a Macan?
@breld - from what I've read, the Macan (which is an object of my affection. I'd LOVE one!) is built on the old Audi S4 architecture/platform. I can tell you that you will find it invigorating to drive. My Mom drives a "base" V6 Cayenne (Toureg with a Porsche Body & Interior). Porsche really pays attention to every detail. You'll be impressed. I don't know about the price (every Porsche, even used seem way out of my price range & above my pay grade), but if your wife drives this Macan S, she'll be saying BYE BYE Polestar!
    That nice, huh?

@breld - When BMW/MB builds an ///M or AMG car, they modify the "regular" __ series or __ class car to get there. They do an excellent job at it too. Porsche builds their "TURBO" version of the vehicle 1st, then figures out how to make the "S" and "base" models afterwards.

@pensfan83 - have you seen that 47k mile Prelude on BaT ends in an hour and is at $8,000?

I assume there is a flurry of bidding in the last minutes, but that's one I would think is worth the premium.
