I saw one of those on CL a couple months ago - not an EB nor quite as mint, but still quite decent. I think they wanted 3K for it. Needs to go to BaT.

Glad they are okay, cars can be replaced. Wondering if they'll get exact replacements or maybe mix it up a bit?

oh, definitely mixing it up. Well, my sister at least. She couldn't avoid growing up in our house and not catching a bit of the bug. If the Wrangler Unlimited deals are still in place when insurance is settled, she is seriously considering that. I never know with my BIL. He's always wanted a volvo, but could never make the stretch. He used to be a pickup guy, so maybe a Taco or Tundra. We'll see.

a few pics from sis. Red Equinox is hers and blue Fusion is his.

I bet that Fusion is close to totaled depending on the year. That high strength steel they put in the pillars has to be near impossible to straighten. Can’t see the extent of the damage in the Equinox but it’s probably bad too.

Edit: I looked at the first picture of the Equinox. The roof is caved in by the driver’s door so the rest of the roof is likely busted good. Totaled.

US Bank offering to extend the lease on the Tacoma for up to six months, at the same payment.

    Tempting.. payment is only $265/mo.

    Cons:
That much closer to possibly wearing out tires, etc.
At end of lease, was going to cut my son loose from my car insurance. (this is not a con for him..lol)

Going to Miami in the morning. Kid took possession of her new apartment today, wife is down there now getting things cleaned up. Movers coming at 9 am so I'll be there by 8. Luckily she don't have much furniture yet and the move is maybe 8 minutes away. Besides a king bed, dresser and night stand plus a sofa and coffee table, that's about it. Some lamps to but pretty minimalistic. New place has a kitchen island and she has a couple of stools to eat there, same as old place. She'll be saving a few hundred/month which is good and an easier drive to the hospital I've been told.
Personally, hate moving day but she's lucky, she doesn't have much stuff where I, we, tend to have more. But, good dad that I am, will go down and help where needed tomorrow. She knows I can't lift much with my spinal issues but just having an older gentleman there can't hurt! Will be a good chance to drive the Golf a bit and still have 3/4 of a tank in it, bought gas about 3 weeks ago, give or take!

Interesting. 10,000 miles gives me something to drive for 1/2 the year ;)-

In all seriousness, I love that yellow color on the Wrangler. I see the Sport S looks to be a few bucks a month cheaper than the Sport.

My daughter is supposed to get her new Wilmington apartment in 2 weeks. I have a U Haul booked to move all the stuff she brought back and stuffed in a storage unit and has ordered since then which is all sitting in my living room in boxes.

of course, if everything is still on lock down (and it will be) she may have it for a while before she really needs to move in!

Never mind. The Unlimited that popped up was a very highly optioned vehicle. You probably qualify for some different incentives (loyalty & conquest?) than I do. A $42K Unlimited Sport (36/10K 1st DAS) comes out to $403 per month for me. While a $42K Unlimited Sport S (36/10K 1st DAS) comes out to $411 per month for me.

Wow I would hate to be moving in this environment. Hope the movers are wearing masks and gloves, and I’d wipe down everything they brought in. So much work already without adding all the extras we have to do now!

We should be fine as she really doesn't have that much stuff. Think we should be done within 90 minutes or so. Figure I'll be getting home around dinnertime as we've got another lunch set up for Friday with an added person wanting to join the party. We just need to sit and laugh again, something our crew has really missed! Am very happy that I've been able to meet and become friends with such nice folks at Enterprise. Us all being around the same age with similar life experiences have made it an easy transition from co-workers into friends. Feel very blessed to be able to be a part of this small group of folks!!

That could be a fun car. Not really my style though at this point.

That is an astonishingly high asking price for a Chevy Cobalt, SS or not.

45k-mile SS, though. I'd imagine it is desirable in some circles. I feel like $5k-$6k wouldn't be horrible. These would turn my head slightly when new, but I witnessed a couple at the autocross over the years and they could not keep up with the Hondas or VWs. Of course, given the low sample size, that could certainly come down to the driver.

It does appear to be in surprisingly good shape.

I always wanted to take our ION 2 that we bought for my step-daughter and convert it to a RedLine, with the same engine and transmission.

Make it a real sleeper, since the RedLines were coupe only.

I would think so. But specialty piece, low mikes, maybe? As always, put it on BaT and see what happens!

The turbo Cobalt SS was pretty impressive, although not impressive enough to pick over my MS3.

Yes it is but remember that was on the list of ten fastest cars for under $25k when it was new.

The Recaros were optional. I can't think the take rate was very high. They're probably worth $1k on their own.

Near my house someone has a red HHR SS. I assume that is the same powertrain as the Cobalt?
