It’s raised bed mix. We did not find a place that delivered it. Would have had to get multiple products and make our own. Plus no pile on the driveway. These will be easier to move with the yard cart I also bought.
It was not that bad even though I did not see anyone in the pickup area at Lowe’s so I did it myself. I backed the truck right up to the pallet so it was a quick slide and chuck onto the flat floor. But I am getting too old for this nonsense.
The boss is bugging about setting out the boxes and moving the dirt back today to get planting. So I should be getting some weight lifting in again today!
Once I get the dirt in the boxes I’m done. I have zero interest in the gardening process.
That's a lot of dirt. Wouldn't it have made more sense to have a bulk load delivered via a dump truck?
I hate doing that and avoid whenever possible. For stick’s amount, I think it is the right decision. Better than having to shovel it off your driveway into a wheelbarrow. It is like double the work and then cleanup too.
Plus, now he can load all that into the garage, and pretend he's actually going to spread it.

I helped my wife yesterday planting a small herb and vegetable garden. While I was at it I changed the oil and sharpened the blade on the lawn mower. Should be good to go for a while.

Not sure if I did this right, but here goes. If I did do it right, the first pic should be what I park in front of, the air handler & hot water heater. After looking, think you'll see why I need a small vehicle. The A3 next to me gets more room to park.

The last pic is just after the lawn was mowed. Not sure if it rained a bit before, but the lawn looks pretty good. After all that rain we had last month, turned the sprinklers off for a bit. When we have a third vehicle over, must park in the middle of the driveway so the water won't stain the paint. And with our pie shaped lot, we can't put in a circular drive as I had wanted. Also notice that we either hang things or pile things on the sides & front so we can park both vehicles in whenever we come home...very rarely do we leave them out for long.

@breld are you keeping your name on the list now that Integra Type S pricing is out?
Yes, I am for now.
I get the FWD is a deal breaker for many, but my Civic Type R was pretty impressive, and I expect this will only improve upon that previous gen. Sporty, modern, comfortable vehicle with a stick…what other options are there? The $50k is a funny place to be in…I’m a little torn on just saving money and looking at something like the Elantra N or even just the A Spec Integra. For another $15k you could order an M2. Supra would be another $10k. I’d take a Z for a few grand more. But the Integra is more accessible than any of these.
The Polestar 3 (prototype) was on display at the local dealer this past weekend. Nice size and seemed to have more of a wagon profile than SUV to my eye.

SDA, it's very tropical where we live in Florida, so one sees a lot of palm trees and barrel tile roofs. Rainy season starts later this month so doubt I'll be turning the sprinklers on any time soon. But if it doesn't, will turn on & do my twice a week usage which for an even number house like ours, which is Thursdays & Sundays. Have them start around 4:30 am and end around 6:30 am, depending on if we're on DST or not. Never move the timer forward or backward with the change of eastern standard time as as long as it finishes before the sun starts heating things up...think we're o k. Want as much to seep into the ground before the heat ramps up.

That's all the CUV could carry? You must be doing it wrong. Last fall I picked up:
1 4 cu ft bale of peat moss 3 sacks of soil like yours 2 sacks of sand 2 sacks of pea gravel 4 sacks of compost
All of it fit into the ATS with the rear seat folded down and open to the trunk. The big bale of peat moss was a bear though. Needed to use my dolly cart to move it around once I got home.

Made my sixth trip to the Berkshire Hathaway shareholders meeting this past weekend. My schedule was a fairly brutal long weekend, staying in Danville, Illinois after leaving work and driving there Thursday evening, then to Omaha Friday, attending the meeting Saturday and driving east to Iowa City, then the rest of the way home Sunday. Also, only a few miles from home, nearly creamed a CR-V whose driver took the wrong exit, nearly stopped, then darted in front of me well after the dotted line merging area had ended. If I go next year, I may try to make it a longer trip if the GF attends, as she's never been to that part of the midwest.
There's no shortcut to getting there and back. No direct flights from Louisville to Omaha. The preferred alternate airport is Kansas City, and there are no direct flights there, either. So you're going to spend a day traveling each way regardless of whether you fly or drive. I usually take a northern route through Illinois and Iowa to avoid St. Louis traffic (nav always routes me straight through downtown), but I also think if you went through MO, you could probably take 255 south and 270 north and avoid the worst of STL. Lots of truck traffic on Friday and people camping in the left lane throughout Iowa.
Spent over $200 at See's Candies (mostly to give away) and bought a few shirts. I also got to stop at my favorite interstate rest area on the way back [1], which has a walking trail with two bridges and an observation tower. If we are building EV chargers every 50 miles, I think it would be nice to have something like this, as well, as it gives you a great way to stretch your legs while your EV charges.
[1] Spoon River eastbound on I-74 in Illinois. Can't see much of note from the observation tower, but it's good exercise. If memory serves, the westbound rest area has a wooded trail area with several picnic tables, but doesn't have a river, bridges, or observation tower.
