2006 SRT8 with option 1, Rear seat Video entertainment, Sunroof, Silver Steel,
KICKER SYSTEM, and YES the backup sensors are now standard on 2006 SRT8's....
The build code is RC5 for the kicker. The Touring package on the website for
consumers must be an error because it all is standard on an SRT8.
I opted out of the nav system because we use a nice portable unit to go from
ATV's and various rides....
Any other advice out there, except don't drive it in the winter?
What about better acceleration? You'll have 4 wheels putting power down rather than smoking your rears to death.
Sounds like a car that will give Audi some sleepness nights and its drivers a heck of a ride!
More after I pick it up. Go to the site below and click on the top car....it is mine.

Chrysler
offers a day of training for high speed driving...oops..I mean defensive driving..
My dealer says we use their cars too!
Realistically, nothing bad will happen at 45-50psi. The only problem would be a rock-hard ride. The tires won't have a problem with the pressure. In fact, they'd probably run cooler and in some (not all) cases, wear more evenly. I am currently overinflating the tires on one of my cars (43f / 40r) because at the recommended pressures (35f / 35r), I get too much wear on the outside, due to the weight of my car and my driving style. Handling is more responsive but the ride is suffering.
Remember: 10psi over is 1000x better than 10psi under-inflated!!!
I'm usually a short term car owner. This is the first car I've bought that I didn't try to steel it. Cutting a good deal has always been as important to me as the car its self. I guess I'm sold on the hype. Hopefully, this investment will match that of the folks fortune enough to hold on to cars like 1970 Plymouth Super Birds. Even though I paid more than it's worth I feel luck to have an SRT8. It's going to be a keeper.
I only have 1,000 miles on it and haven't really had the opportunity to push it hard in handeling situations but straight line power is great. One last thing, when I got home from the dealership at 11:30pm on the 6th I went online to the California DMV. Who would have thought it was available; keep a lookout for California plates (SRT8 425)
I need to hear more about bedding the brakes and cold air intakes.... ENJOY.
You must have like 1/2 inch thick of rubber! I can't imagine a decent ride even on 20". Modern suspension is a wonderful thing.
Of course...I can't tell you....I don't have my car yet
1) The vehicle manufacturer - who is obligated to provide this vital information in written form and who has access to the tire manufacturer as well as its own engineers.
2) The vehicle dealer - who only services and repairs the vehicles and doesn't have to write his recommendation down
3) The guys at the oil change shop - ah.....Let's just say they aren't rocket scientists.
4) The sidewall of the tire - that sounds more like a maximum capacity than a recommendation.
I hope you picked #1 - the vehicle manual.
BTW, the tire size and inflation info ought to be on a placard which is supposed to be in the driver's door area, but might be in the glovebox, or some other obscure places.
Hope this helps.
I think they have it set so high to avoid wheel damage when/if you hit a big pothole. Problem is, yeah, you can avoid wheel damage, but at the risk of blowing a tire.
I don't think anyone means to belittle you - we are here to help, so please feel free to ask anything at all.
Got me on that.
Also wondering if the 300 SRT8 has an AWD option?
p.s. where is this other forum?
I almost wonder if something is wrong with your car. Try to drive another SRT-8 and compare...
I wonder if your car is experiencing an unlike metals reaction. It may be an untested problem of American Muscle Hemi sitting ontop of a German chassis. With all the war crap going on....maybe the merger of American technology and German technology is just all shook up! Maybe the chassis fittings are corroding like the German/American governments.
Ok...there...I feel better....
If you can't fix your car....can I drive it? I wanna test my theory!!!!
On a serious note...I know some DC MFG guys on the SRT project...for real....
So post here if you can not get it fixed....Cause I'd say it's broken....not the concept....
