Hi there, curious if you know if there is any lease cash left in May for 2017 Tuscon's, specifically looking at SE Plus FWD. There is a dealer with some stock left over and I am wondering if there is a good lease deal to be had getting a 2017. If you have the numbers for VA that would be fantastic, thanks!

Hi,

Question:

Leased 2017 Hyundai Tuscon Night FWD @ $374 a month (includes taxes) - $0 down - for 35 months (12K per year). 1st payment is rolled into the rest of the 35 payments.
I had them roll in 4 months of a previous lease @ $265 a month into my new lease. They cut me a check for $1,060.

MSRP: $27,850

Is this a good lease deal?

What is the selling price or adjusted cap cost?

I'm confused - did they cut you a check so you could make the 4 payments yourself? If so, you'll still be responsible for any end of lease charges that crop up.

I emailed the sales rep. a screenshot of the lease cash incentives on www.autobytel.com with their dealership zip code being used on a 2017 Tucson SE AWD and asked why the site would show lease cash if they couldn't lease the car. He got back to me a while later and said the Tucson was available for lease and apologized for the confusion. He said that initially, he did go to a sales manager and was told the 2017 couldn't be leased but that was incorrect. I know the car business is a tough business to be in, but geez, managers should know which vehicles can be leased and which can't.

I wouldn't trust the sales person - or even the sales manager - to keep up with all that.

The F&I person is the one who should be up to speed on the programs.

I'd bet the salesperson doesn't even have his own business cards - he inherited someone elses and has scribbled out the name and phone information. Massive turnover in the business.
