@Michaell , Below is the lease quote for Tucson Sport AWD . please let me if it is reasonable deal.
Negotiated Selling price: $25,891 Residual 53% (15k miles) MF .00063 Bank Fee $595 License $289 Rebate $2,250 Down Payment / Drive Off $2,000
Monthly : $248.05 + tax
What is the MSRP?
MSRP is 28595
Ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost - my guess is that some of your $2000 out of pocket is going to cap reduction.
And, looks like the MF is marked up a touch, as well (base is .00044 on Sport AWD)
@Michaell , Thanks for response. My MF is high as I dont have much credit history . With this MF of .00044 can you please let me know the calculation of what should be my monthly lease.
I couldnot understand the line "my guess is that some of your $2000 out of pocket is going to cap reduction."

Ask the dealer which fees are being paid up front and which are not. The $2000 drive off amount is more than enough for the bank fee, license costs, and first payment - so, I assume that the balance is used to reduce the price of the car.
Similar to the last post, can you provide the MF and RV for a 2017 Tucson SE (not necessarily 'Plus'), FWD for 36 months and 10k miles/year? Excellent credit and coming out of a Hyundai lease too. This would be in South Florida. Same $1750 lease cash too?

One additional question, the dealer is stating the Lease Cash is a Post-Sale rebate and does not reduce the cap cost. Could someone advise on the following for the different incentives?
Is it a Post-Sale rebate or applicable on cap cost reduction

The $2500 in incentives are for purchase only, not a lease. The $400 college grad incentive can be stacked with the lease cash, so $2150 total. Negotiate your best price, then subtract the $2150.

So here is an email I received from a dealer:
Total MSRP $26,120 ($950 Destination Fee included)
Your Savings - $4,187 You will save $4,187 off of the total MSRP of $26,120 on VIN #......, which includes the below manufacturer incentives that you may qualify for: Customer Cash - Expires 09/05 - $2,000 Requirements & Restrictions • Customers may receive Retail Bonus Cash towards purchase of new Hyundai vehicle.

Seem about right??
The math is right but the assumptions are wrong. Does the dealer providing you the quote know that you're leasing? As noted in an earlier post, the incentives for purchasing and leasing are different, and the lease price will certainly be higher.
And, you're counting the $2000 twice - the dealer is counting that in the $4K of discounts they've quoted you. You can't subtract it again.
And, I see no reference to the $595 acquisition fee.
No I don't think dealer knows on the lease/buy question but I will confirm. Truecar ran it and I don't remember if they asked TBH
My example above is from two sources, one a Hyundai program currently running ($2500) and the the 2nd from a dealer locally so I may have confused the issue with $2K x 2
The offer of $4187 (again cking on lease/buy) was $2K Customer Cash-expires on 9/5 and an addl $2187 for a total of $4187 from dealer, which I assumed was the negotiated value down of the car.
I then would be adding a $2000 money down which I included in my line#7 CapCostReduc
And you are correct the Acq fee was not in there, I did not have a number, was confirming in the morning.
So in this case add acq of $595 and get a final price on car with leasing it. Then recalc?

That's the problem with on-line quoting - there are assumptions that can mess up the pricing. Best to talk to a dealer directly.
And, we don't recommend that large an amount of up front cash - just first payment and DMV costs. The money would be lost if you were to have the car stolen or totaled.

Instead of guessing, just ask the dealer for a lease quote, instead of purchase, and see what they come back with.
Hi, I've got this offer for a Tucson FWD SE at $279/month......In TX
he is telling me that line 4 where it says "price" is a adjusted MSRP? Does that make sense???
The MSRP is the bottom line number of the factory window sticker. Have they added any dealer accessories to it?
Don't believe so, I just don't get that he is telling me that line 4 where it says price is a adjusted MSRP and then the 2750 rebate(I'm guessing lease cash?) is subtracted from that to get the selling price?? Does that make sense???
$279/month with $279due at signing doesn't sound horrible to me. But The guy has been playing games along the way, so not sure...

Line 4 is the selling price... about a $1000 discount from MSRP. You need the full screenshot (maybe, two screens) that shows the adjusted CAP cost and the rest of the information, including money factor.
So, when negotiating the selling price...should that number equate to what you find as the average for my area with that MSRP on edmunds/TrueCar?
Or is that average on TrueCar/edmunds a combination of negotiated selling price and rebates(lease cash $2750)???
does that make any sense??? Cuz if the negotiated price should equal what you find on those websites, there should be quite a bit more off MSRP than that, right???

Can't help you with how TC comes up with their numbers, or what it does or does not include.
Try to get a price lower than whatever average you're finding in your research.

I received a quote from a NY dealership on a Limited AWD that will be registered in NJ with differences in RV & MF.
MF = 0.00094 (they are saying 0.00074 is incorrect)
RV = 60% (36/10)
Rebates & Incentives = $3250 (I asked for a break down)
Could someone please advise?
$1750 lease cash
The money factor and lease cash could be different in your region, but the residual isn't likely to be different.
The residual in particular seems to be way off. Verify the term/mileage and trim.

Line 4 is the selling price... about a $1000 discount from MSRP.
You need the full screenshot (maybe, two screens) that shows the adjusted CAP cost and the rest of the information, including money factor.

Or is that average on TrueCar/edmunds a combination of negotiated selling price and rebates(lease cash $2750)???
does that make any sense??? Cuz if the negotiated price should equal what you find on those websites, there should be quite a bit more off MSRP than that, right???
Try to get a price lower than whatever average you're finding in your research.

My quote from the dealer then seems to add up (though they have an extra $1500 in incentives added in) --
MSRP: $29,700
Rebates: $3,500 lease cash, $1000 flex cash
Discounts: $1,939.62 dealer discount
Cap Cost: $23,260.38
Fees: $1,090.15
Final Cap $24,450.53
Residual Value: $16,929
Residual %: 57%
MF .00158
$299 / mo (with 9% PA Tax incl)
It is off by $100 for some reason (I get $24,350 when I do the math), but at $24,450 it calculates out correctly for me. Thoughts?
How much is due at signing?

The Uber discount ($1000) would have made this a really great deal, but I was happy in the end.Edmunds Price Checker
