I am in the market for leasing 440xi GC. I just got a $1000 gift voucher (via email) for registering for the BMW and Ski Magazine Zermatt Sweepstakes. I also qualify for Loyalty and Corporate fleet discount through my employer. And I have always been doing MSDs with my BMW leases so far.

My question is - are all 4 of these stackable on top of one another - 1) $1000 gift voucher 2) $1000 Loyalty cash 3) $1500 corporate fleet discount + .00020 mf discount 4) 7 MSD - .00049 mf discount.

so total $3500 off final sale price and .00069 off of base mf??

DC does tax the monthly payment at 10%. The sales prices is $58,521 and the $4K down is the sum of $925 Acquisition, $499 Proc Fee, $285 Tags 2 years in DC (includes zone parking), $2291 Cap Cost Reduction. I'm also being told the money factor is 0.00174 but I thought it was supposed to be 0.00134.

Any help would be appreciated!

Ouch - that's a tough tax burden.

Yes, the base MF is .00134.

Our recommendation would be to add the acquisition fee and processing fee into the selling price, and skip the cap reduction. Only money out of pocket would be the first payment and the cost of the tags.

That said, I can't make the numbers work. Using the MSRP and selling prices you've provided, I get $810/mo with tax included. If I use the base MF, the payment drops to $767/mo.

The $2291 in cap cost reduction is about $64/mo.

Ask the dealer what the adjusted cap cost is, and how they got to that number from the selling price. That should clear up the confusion.

.00134 and 66% (24/12) or 64% (24/15). Extra miles are charged up front at a rate of .15-.25 per mile (I don't know the exact rate), and deducted from the 15K residual.

Those extra 20,000 miles will cost you between $3-5K - put another way, an additional $125-200 per month on the lease payment.

I'm trying to understand a lease quote a NC dealer gave me on a 2017 430i Grand Coupe earlier today. The terms are 36/12 with $1,000 down and 3 MSDs.

The numbers are as follows:

Base MF 0.00134, adjusted to 0.113 with MSDs
Tax 3%
Residual 60% equaling $30,384

I'm rolling in the fees and just paying the MSDs, $1k down and the first payment at signing.

I'm calculating a payment of $642.35 including but they have it quoted as $690.56. What am I missing?

Thanks for your help. As a follow up, I'm not thrilled with only a $2300 discount, what should I consider countering with that's reasonable in this market?

I'd be more worried about what constitutes $848 "Add Ons" and $1664 "Fees". There is a $925 acquisition fee, but what is the other stuff?

CA doesn't collect taxes upfront.
Autonation quotes aren't really lease quotes. If you'll note, all of the numbers are for purchase. CA doesn't collect taxes upfront on a lease, except for amounts paid upfront, so your $55,097 number wouldn't apply to a lease.

Also, a typo on your MSRP?

Looking to get a price on a 440 xdrive. Dealer quoted me $3000 off msrp including a $1500 incentive. I thought there was a $1500 pull ahead incentive, but the dealer told me it was a loyalty incentive. Is this correct? Also, I balked when I saw he was only taking off $1500 off the msrp before any incentive is applied. I told him I was looking to get maybe 6% or more before any incentive is applied. Is this unreasonable? i don't know how it is in other states, but in NY they don't want to budge it seems.

6-7% off sticker, before incentives, is a decent discount. Keep shopping, and expand your search radius to include dealers in NJ and CT. Only takes one to play ball with you.

No, they are not. The adjusted cap cost is the selling price plus any taxes and fees you are not paying up front.

Base MF is .00134 this month; dealer can only mark it up to .00174.

Your prices, along with the base MF, give a payment of $526/mo before tax.

EDIT - you are getting just over 7% off sticker, which is good for BMW.
