The money factor is marked up for extra profit.

To get to that payment, the CAP cost has to be around $49,500 on a 36/10 lease (assuming sales tax is capitalized), so they are obviously giving you credit for the incentives, but they aren't laying out the adjusted CAP cost and calculations. To be clear, I don't know the lease tax rules for VT, so I could be off some on that.

Let's assume the sale price and incentives are all there and correct, and that part of the deal is good. The marked up money factor still adds $63/mo. to the price.

I'm within .01 of the quote, using those numbers - likely a rounding issue.

If I use the .00005 MF, then the payment drops to $590/mo. However, I'd wager a guess that if you pushed for the base MF, you'd have to give up some of the pre-incentive discount.

Run the numbers, both ways, to see which makes more sense - bigger discount on inflated MF, or a smaller discount with the base MF.

If it's eligible for the new car lease program, which is likely, the residual will be further reduced by the mileage. So, 4700 miles X $0.XX/per mile. (that number is likely $0.10-0.25 per mile).

To get a better deal than a comparable new unit, you'll have to negotiate a sale price that is lower than the new unit by at least as much as the residual reduction.

Well, that would assume that your negotiated price was the same on the demo unit as it would be for a 'new' car with 0 miles on it. We are suggesting you negotiate a bigger discount to compensate for the lower residual.

I'm getting following quote on a 2017 A6 Prestige for 36/10:
MSRP: 68740
Sale price before incentives: 63290
Incentives: 2500 marketing allowance, 1000 loyalty, first month payment
MF: 0.00050
Residual: 48%

I know the MF is marked up but the sale price seems to compensate for that. Does this look like a good deal?
