The big philly bridges switched lanes in and out for rush hours. They used jersey barriers (the big concrete blocks) and had a fancy machine that drove over them and shifted them over a lane. Was cool to watch.

I've driven over the Ben Franklin bridge a bunch, back in the days when I was traveling, and remember that, as well.

You think that's where the name came from?

At the May parking lot, I think just "above" the Imperial I see a fintail. I also see a few ~65 full sized Chevies in the pic, and a couple of Dart/Valiant wagons.

In Nashville, in front of a Ford pickup and a motorcycle, looks like a 75-76 DeVille.

In Vancouver, I think the Saab may be an early 900 and maybe an R-body NYer behind it.

In Nashville, two polar opposites close by each other: a little late '60s shaver-nose Toyota Corona sedan and a brawny '60s Ford N-series (I believe) heavy-duty tow truck. I always thought those Fords were very tough-looking.

I think the Fairmont might be an Aspenlare wagon - both would have coexisted with the Mark V and the gold disco Bird at left.

Andy's black car looks like a later Citroen Traction Avant, sitting high on its magic suspension.

Andy's Traction Avant they only had the magic carpet suspension on the late ones as they developed it for the real show stopper - the DS...

I spoke with a guy in a car show a few years back and he had the long wheelbase version (they sold in two lengths here in the day - assembled in Slough near Heathrow )

He said the FWD made the steering extremely heavy in traffic and the turning circle was like a bus, but they were brilliant in snow and ice and really tough cars.

They sold well in northern Scotland / Wales etc particularly

The Benz is a "Fintail" (late 50s>60s). The Mercury sports aftermarket fog lights.

Definitely a Torino. Must have been fun driving one of those on the Autobahn with the Ford driving dynamics back then.
