Mid 1990s Ford Thunderbird. Gonna say 1994.

It might be a Super Coupe with the Supercharged 3.8 liter V6 but I can't tell from this angle.

Super Coupes had a large and low front spoiler.

I rented one of these (with the V8) back in the days for a long trip. super comfy on the highway, good handling, loads of torque. Can lay loooonng rubber strips. Gas mileage was dismal, but who cares?

    Well, it's probably French - Delahaye 135 - coachwork by Touring ?

Good guess, I figured it'd be mistaken for a Bristol but it is indeed French, a 1948-49 Delage D6. These were actually made by Delahaye since Delage went out of car production but a deal was struck to sell the Delage brand to them. Production of both old and storied brands ceased 1n '53 or '54.

    Triumph TR4/4A/5/TR250 - most likely a TR4
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,672
You have sharp eyes my friend, it is a TR-4. My TR-4A came with similar wheels that were painted off-white. I repainted them silver which sharpened up the look of the car.

The Cadillacs look like 1952-53 models. The black Cadillac is a Sixty-Special sedan and the reddish car is a Coupe DeVille. The black car next to the red Caddy looks like an early '50s Chevrolet or a low-end Olds or Buick. The black car behind the semi truck appears to be a 1946-48 Chrysler. The car the men are emerging from appears to be a 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air and the lavender abd white car in the lower right hand corner looks like a 1954 Plymouth Belvedere.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,672
    Isn't that black Caddie a '48 or '49?

Except for the grille it looks just like a Subaru Leone, ca.
late 70s. The wheels are probably Cromodora Al-Steel alloys
    very popular during the '70s.

If it was a 70's Subaru, wouldn't it have that WIDE bolt pattern they shared with Peugeots?

Very interesting looking coupe, that's for sure. ;)

Honda Civic (or whatever the JDM equivalent was, as I see it is RHD), 1988-91
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,672
Close, it's the earlier version of the Honda Civic Shuttle, 1984-88, sold in the US as the Civic Wagon IIRC.

    C'mon now :P .... that IS the 1988-1991 version.

The earlier model WagoVan had vertically stacked taillights.

    (LOL) :P
  • hudsonthedoghudsonthedog Member Posts: 552
The picture before the Honda Civic Wagovan is the Honda Coupe 7, a 1300cc FWD coupe from the early 1970s.
  • karsickkarsick Member Posts: 312
    Honda Coupe 7, huh?

I never knew about it (and my first car was its stablemate, the Honda N600, the 2-cylinder POS sold in the US).

    Cool trivia. ;)
  • urnewsurnews Member Posts: 668

Are you serious, a two-cylinder engine? That must have proved interesting.
  • bumpybumpy Member Posts: 4,425
Technically, the high-output engine (hence the title) makes it a Coupe 9. A thoroughly wacky little car: air-cooled through the block, dry sump, FWD, antipodal swing axles in the back. There was also a very boring-looking sedan version.

a nice writeup on the development process
  • bumpybumpy Member Posts: 4,425
The earliest Honda cars in the late '60s (the N was basically a Mini copy and the S was a tiny roadster) used motorcycle engines and chain drives.
  • texasestexases Member Posts: 11,134
That Honda wagon was the Xb of its day, amazing interior room in such a small package.

  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,517
Looks like a Triumph 2000 ca. 1965 (by the plate) with a Triumph TR-6 in front of it, and a TR-7 to the left (I can't believe a TR-7 is on the freeway i nthe fast lane...or is that a breakdown lane? lol).
  • imidazol97imidazol97 Member Posts: 27,691
I was surprised to see the third one go by trailing the newer two at 65+. I know the first two said Triumph and I was trying to get my kid who was driving to catch up so I could get a picture. I only got one chance at a picture since we were getting off at the exit for a cruise-in.

The camera didn't stop the shake automatically-usually it does pretty well.

I'm going to say the Triumph in the left lane is a TR8, not a TR7. And that's a Honda Pilot out front.
