Unfortunately, due to programming's insistence on cramming posts into only 1/3 of the available screenwidth, the entire rear of you photo is blocked, I can't see the tailfins or anything past the rear wheel.
Here's a '55 Hornet w Conti kit from behind.>
Here's a '57, which looks a bit "finnier" to me>
As does the Yellow /white car from the movie, notice it has the same crease between fender and fin as in my '57 shot.>
The yellow/white car in the movie has a chrome trim piece that runs the beltline from A pillar to taillight like your 1955 picture has. The taillight shape does not match the 1957's shape; it's more like the 1955.
I went through a bunch of pictures of Hudsons and Nashs on a fan site and couldn't figure out what the movie shot may be.
I figured it out only by cheating (file properties).
Before you cheat, here's a hint: This manufacturer was absorbed into its sister company, which later (in the '70's) produced a model named for this make.
Re the Morris Minor on 14483 the high level lights were introduced for the two-door in 1951,and a painted ( instead of chrome) grille introduced early in 1951. The later slatted grille was introduced in 1955, and the split screen went in 57... So this car is 1951-early 1955. Also it has been re-registered in the last 20 years or so, so I would imagine it was off the road for a while.
Yep, that's an Intrigue. I still see a few of them around (all tan, curiously enough), and the Buick LaCrosse is for all practical purposes the next-gen version.
Yeah that's more like his. Aluminum instead of chrome rims and no fog lights. It was forgettable enough that I couldn't remember what color it was. Now I remember-some sort of metallic green. I don't recall if it was light or dark, though.

Some kind of early Ferrari 250 variant, MM or Europa
Yep, 1954-55 Ferrari 250GT Europa, these were among the more numerous Ferraris of the era and one of the earliest street cars of the 250GT series as well as one of the first to be designed by Pininfarina as practically all are now. Most early 50s Ferraris were bodied by Touring or Vignale.
Well I don't know for a fact it's an SE-R, just a guess I made because it was covered in duct tape and had a more performance look to it and I just kinda put it with the SE-R model of the Sentra. Like I said, it was covered so I made an assumption of what I knew it possibly could be based on other Nissan cars. Who knows, maybe its a NISMO, I couldn't tell you.
Yes, it is a bit Buck Rodgers, isn't it... And sorry hudson, but it isn't a Panther either, although I would guess the design was at least in part inspired by it. Actually it is a Kamala made in Norfolk England, and it is a kit based on Ford parts, with a V6 engine - optionally turbo.. I think they've been making them since the late nineties, but this one, which I saw at the National Kit Car show last Summer, is the only one I have ever encountered.
I have tried to download a photo, and although I am taking it from the same site as the one I posted yesterday, for some reason this one won't come across - every time I paste the code in, it then deletes half of it, so the image doesn't open. I tried re-posting the previous image that I used yesterday, and that came across fine. I tried a third image, and got the same problem I had with image 2.
What am I doing wrong today, given that it took me two years to get to the stage where I posted an image yesterday ?
Further Info - the site I am trying to download from is a picture sharing site I put some of my pictures on yesterday, so the one that works appears to be the same as the ones that don't work. I even tried deleting the one I had tried to send and then reloading it on their site, but it still won't come across, as halfthe code is missing once it is posted. When I copy/paste, the code is there in this box, in full, but as soon as I press "Post My Message", it of course closes the box, and when I reopen, it is only half there. I've even tried to type in the rest of the code, as an edit, but as soon as I posted, it lost the same bit !
I recommend rebooting your computer. The italics and odd things happening from keyboard inputs is sort of like my problems I mentioned. My touchpad and the java for input boxes don't get along with xp mediacenter.
I think you did use the Url button for your picture post. It should use the Img button before and after and it will look like the example I posts. The URL should have left a link to be clicked to get to the picture source.
I watched this last night. There is alot to look at in this flick and one very nice car that unfortunately bit the dust. Impressively, I didn't spot one car that was incorrect for the era. Usually you'll see some late 70s cars in the background of an early 70s movie. Quite a good flick too.

I remember it being a pretty decent performer for a GM of that era. His had the 3.8 V6.
The LaCrosse is a styling step backwards IMO.

I can see that. But it reminds me of an updated version of the Panther Solo from the 1980s.
At least we know where the styling for the '90s Firebird came from.
