The Omni/Horizon shared its basic underpinnings with the Simca/Sunbeam/Talbot Horizon, not the Volkswagen Rabbit (even if the early Omnirizon and Rabbit shared some parts).

2014 Malibu 2LT, 2015 Cruze 2LT,
Those big Ford convertibles were known as Sunliners.
The Corvair isn't a sedan, it's a two-door coupe, probably a
Monza.

Not to beat a dead horse, but the car in question looks like a '61 Pontiac Tempest to me. All 3 (Tempest, Special, and F-85) were very similar, but the rear end design in the middle of the trunk lid crease gives this away as a Pontiac (it actually said 'Pontiac').

the grill looks like it has Citroen Chevrons, so I will go with that. No clue of a model.

You'd guess wrong my friend. It's a C5 Touring (called an Estate or Break in some markets.)
I like to play a mental game with myself and ask what car(s) I would own if I lived abroad and had access to those that are NSH. That C5 Touring would be right at the top of the list, diesel of course.

I've seen that little black car before but just can't place it? I was going to say Peugeot 403 but that might be too new for this photo---hard to say.
couple of 55 Chevy's, and a 55 Pontiac?
Nah, it's a '49-'50ish Plymouth.

The little black Mopar looks like a '51 or '52 Dodge as the tail lights are in the fenders and vertical rather than horizontal like the Plymouth.
Cracks me up, use any name except what it actually is.
Volvo calls them Versatility, that's what the V stands for. Shooting Break, Crossover, anything but wagon.
It's still a wagon.
That Citroen is a wagon all the way. 4 doors plus the roof stretches back past the C-pillar. Wagon for sure.
Touring, to me at least, means touring sedan, i.e. a high speed long-haul cruiser.
Edit: an Estate? That's a large house! LOL
Cracks me up, use any name except what it actually is.
A rose by any other name... The term Wagon or Station Wagon has been in disfavor on both sides of the pond for some time. Here they're called SUVS or Crossovers. BMW uses Touring or SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle), Audi uses Avant, VW says Sportwagon. The British and French say Estate,or Brake (or Break--it can be spelled either way). The Italians say Giardinere or Giardenetta.
I should mention that the first wagons were called "Depot Hacks"; Hack being a synonym for taxicab.
Ford Model T Depot Hack>
I like wagons whatever they're called as long as they aren't too big or jacked up too high.

In Brazil we say "Perua", pronounced Peh-ROO-ah in Portuguese.
And VW sold the Quantum there for so long that the word became the Kleenex for wagons.
And VW sold the Quantum there for so long that the word became the Kleenex for wagons.
I didn't know that, I thought the Quantum name was used only in North America and that it was the original Passat everywhere else.
Does "Perua" have any specific meaning in Portugese?

'85 to 2003, per wiki Brazil. 18 years, longer than I remembered.
The sedan was called Santana, not Passat (in Brazil).
Funny thing is Passat was a smaller coupe/hatch, and that name was not used for the sedan version of the Quantum. It returned only recently, when the A4-based Passat appeared in Brazil as an import.
It gets even more weird if you look at the Ford/VW partnership called Autolatina. Ford sold its own versions of the Santana/Quantum called the Versailles (no idea why a French name was chosen).
That same site has another term for wagon common in Brazil, Caminhoneta (they mention Perua, Besta, and Van as synonyms):
http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Station_Wagon
Besta is a newer term, though, at least to me. I think of the Kia Besta microvan and I think Besta is also a nickname for "jackass", in reference to the load carrying capability.
I'm not aware of any other meaning to Perua, but that doesn't necessarily mean there isn't one.
Universal (Mercedes), Kombi or Combi (various German & Swedish makers and Camionette (French=little wagon, same derivation as Camionheta in Portuguese).
I'm sure there were/are others.

Nowadays, in Germany anyway, MB uses "T-Modell", BMW uses "Touring", Ford uses "Turnier", I think VW still uses "Variant", Audi uses "Avant"...anything possible to look more interesting.
Speaking of wagons, I wouldn't exactly turn down an E63 wagon.
also game in a 3 door hatch, which I happened to have had one of.
