Does it sound off to you? I tried another dealership nearby and they said they use the same banks so it's the same numbers. The payment with tax included is 570 with their calculations.

Does it sound off to you? I tried another dealership nearby and they said they use the same banks so it's the same numbers. The payment with tax included is 570 with their calculations.

The math doesn't lie. If we can get the dealer to be forthright with the numbers and how the $2500 at signing breaks down, we can run the calculations to see if the dealer is padding anything.

If they don't want to be transparent, it's probably time to find another dealer.

OK, there is $2239 of cap reduction (down payment). With tax, the payment drops to $544/mo.

That said, we do not recommend making a down payment on a lease; the money will be lost if the car is stolen or totaled.

Better to keep the money in your pocket and have a higher payment.

I agree with those numbers 100%. I suspect the delta had to do with my application of the cap reduction.

My only suggestion is to skip the cap reduction; yes, the payment will go up to about $638/mo, but you'll keep the $2238 in your pocket.

Also, is Land Rover financing provided by JP Morgan or is it separate?  Dealer quoting me deal from JP.
