Jetta SE 36/12 - .00020 and 53%. $1500 lease cash. This is for top tier credit.

Lease cash can be used to either reduce the selling price of the vehicle or cover the up front costs of the lease.

@Michaell I haven't visited any yet this time around, but I'm hoping to have some details handy when I start shopping.

I'm hoping to transition to the next vehicle without a down payment. We'll see what they say. Hoping to start talking with them early December. I will likely start with Larry Miller and O'Meara since they are closest and are offering the largest discounts (according to TrueCar). If you have any suggestions or further advice, I'm all for it!

I leased my Jetta from McDonald on Broadway. Got into it with just the first payment out of pocket.

Yes. And, it included the last 2 payments on my Hyundai lease, the 5000 miles I exceeded my limit by, and the damaged rear bumper I had.

My lease payment went up about $4/mo, despite all that.

I have always purchased my own cars outright with cash and am good at negotiating that way. and I am trying to help my friend get in the lowest lease she can. She needs a new car while she goes to school but has no money down. The base Jetta is fine. Just want to make sure her bases are covered when we walk in the dealer tomorrow. Don't want her to get taken. Thanks so much.

Negotiate the price just like you would for a purchase. You'll have an acquisition fee of $625 to deal with - can add that to the negotiated price (I did on my Jetta lease - all I paid when I signed the papers was the first month's payment).

Is there a tutorial on this?.. So much easier in my mind when I purchase as I just say I will pay X and then pay. These MF a etc confuse me a bit . LOL

The $1250 is factory-to-dealer incentive. That won't be disclosed. Use your knowledge of it to negotiate a lower price.

Thanks all for your help. Was able to get my friend into a base 2017 Jetta S 36/15 with prepaid 10/20/30K maintenance for $167/month 0 down and 0 . Cap cost $14,985. 5K off MSRP. Residual is $9600 ish. I think she made out ok

We haven't received the complete VW program.

The MF is .00020, and it looks like there might be an extra $1000 this month on Jettas, but we don't have the residual.

I have a local dealer advertising a lease special on a Jetta SE ($23,215 MSRP) for $74.65/month with $2,500 in drive-off costs. This is for 24 months/10k miles.

I was told the following costs are included in the $2,500 drive off:
$619.93 taxes
$250.00 doc fee
$100.00 plates
$625.00 acquisition fee
$905.07 down payment

Based on these numbers I'm trying to figure out what the monthly payment would be if I rolled all the drive off expenses into the monthly payment and bumped the miles up to 15K. My tax rate is 6.75%. Can anyone help?

$2500 in drive off costs = $104.17/mo (2500/24)

The only thing you should pay at drive off is your first payment (which should be covered by the 'sign and drive' program) and the DMV costs - roll everything else into your lease payment.
