Confirm the cap cost, if you are rolling in the taxes and fees.

And, the base MF is .00001; if your dealer is quoting you .00010, they are marking it up

I called the dealer again, and they confirmed the MF is 0.00001. The bank fee is $995 and DOC fee is $75. Adjusted cap based on that is $43,070. Based on these numbers, I am coming up with a lease payment of $515 including taxes. How come your payment is so much lower?

Where are the taxes? If you aren't paying them up front, then they must be getting added to the cap cost (NY taxes the sum of the payments and collects the money up front - you can choose to pay them at inception or add them to the cap cost).

If I make the cap cost $43,070 and change the MF to .00001, I get $473/mo. Here is a screen shot of my spreadsheet.

We don't track selling prices; if you think you're getting a good discount from sticker, then go for it.

However, the acquisition fee is marked up from the base of $795.

Hello! I am trading in my 2013 volvo and the dealer is giving me $14500 for it. I am considering a lease for the 2017 xc60 t5 awd. The dealer offered $399 a month for 36 months, 10000 miles, and a down payment of approximately $4500 (including fees etc.). Is this a good deal? (I am located in NY)

$4500 is a lot to put upfront on a lease. That makes your effective payment over $500/mo.

It's either Dynamic or Inscription.

If it's Dynamic:
.00015 MF and 49% residual
$6000 in rebates/incentives.
To get to $399/mo. you need an adjusted CAP cost of about $37,100.

Out of your $4500 upfront, you'll need about $3000 of that for tax, acquisition fee, 1st payment and DMV/dealer fees. The other $1500 will be CAP cost reduction.

So, outside of incentives and CAP cost reduction, the dealer would have to provide a discount of about $2400.

Those are all numbers you'll have to verify. On the surface, it looks like a fair deal, but I'm making a lot of assumptions.

I have a deal for $472.50 sign and drive with tax included. That is walking away without paying anything, no first month, no transfer tag, true zero down. I thought this was a good deal as most dealers except one wont match it, but someone at leasehackr is telling me I should do better. I have a true car cert for at least $9557 off.

Need to know the adjusted cap cost, if you are rolling the fees into the lease.

Relative to MSRP, the payment looks good, but need the numbers to confirm.

You meant .0001 not .00001 on that MF (.24%) for the 2017, correct?

Ok, so to recap there is a $4500 allowance from volvo + $1500 for a lease bonus + 1k for loyalty (my wife owns a s60) for a total of $7k of incentives?  

Considering this a 46% residual and a .00001 mf (you are Right, free money) I think I should be doing better than $472.50 even rolling everything including the first months payment. I think it should be closer to $450.

That's $441/mo. pre-tax. Need an adjusted CAP of about $36,800 to get to that number.
Considering acquisition fee, typical Florida dealer fees, 1st payment, etc, etc, the number is probably about right.

You need to know the adjusted CAP, and the calculation for how they got there, so you know what you are paying for.

What is the mf and residual in so Florida on an 2017 s60 inscription on a 36mo 7.5 k lease? I got a $42850 msrp for $355 paying only $355 at closing (07-01) and hoping to use the numbers to leverage another deal on an xc60.

Yep FWD.

That is crazy. The incentives for that deal were only $1400 more ($1000 for loyalty) than the xc60 and the MF exactly the same. The MSRP on the XC60 is $2635 more. Still even adding all that up the payment should only be $67 more (paying inverse of residual over 36 moths + tax).

I wonder why dealers are holding firm when the new model is coming out in 2 weeks. They already have some at the dealership.
