Hi, I am in the tri-state area working on a Q50 lease, targeting closest to $300 month (39/10). Main criteria for my mom is that the car has a moonroof I've been diligently tracking the MF/residuals for the 2.0T and 3.0T various trims/packages but for the life of me, do not understand the following advertised deal from a dealer in NJ:

2017 2.0T Premium AWD - 39/10
MSRP $44,565
Residual $20,500 (consistent with 46% residual stated on here)
Net cap cost $36,817
Assuming $2,240 down payment --> $259/month pre-tax

Same dealers 3.0T Sig AWD offer has a lower MSRP/net cap cost + higher down payment but results in the same $259/month pre-tax. Over the phone, the dealer told me it was due to different incentives however I thought net cap cost already factored in incentives? My calcs on the 3.0T deal tie out just fine (as do all other lease offers I calculated) but for the life of me, I don't understand the 2.0T deal.

How is the monthly payment so low with that net cap cost and a low residual?? Thanks so much - this forum is incredible and I will keep posting about my experience.

I'm baffled, as well. I get over $400/mo on the 2.0T Premium.

Ask the dealer for the 'adjusted' cap cost, net of incentives - that might help solve the mystery.

Well I'm glad the experts are stumped as well!  Will ask but straight answers are difficult to come by from this dealer. I'd prefer to put $0 down beyond necessary $700 IFS + title/taxes/registration however this dealer claims that available incentives are dependent upon putting cash down up front. Is this true or another sales tactic? Thanks a lot.

To me, sounds like it is time to begin working with another dealer. Lots to choose from, and it only takes one to be transparent.

Michaell - about to get serious today on a hunt across multiple dealership for a Q50 3.0t, likely a 'Sport' so as to get real leather (don't need AWD, but Bose yes). With new model year coming out in July, this seems to be good timing as they'll need to unload the 2017s. Questions - Memorial day deals expected? What % off MSRP do you think is realistic? Per my previous note, 10k/yr lease. Thank you Sir, and go Nashville Preds!!
