Those numbers look like a third party lease (Ally or US Bank) - we don't have their numbers to confirm what the dealer is telling you. Those banks often associate large incentives to offset the high MF that is used.

    Awesome fast reply.

And yes, US Bank was the lender. So what does that mean? What would those car pricing numbers work out to with Dodge leasing then?

Not sure I understand all the math in the lease. If the car sale price is $34,000 and there is $6250 in rebates and residual is $21,500, that is only leaving like $6500 to lease over 3 years. That is no where near a $360/mo payment.
The Chrysler Capital numbers won't have the rebates attached to them, but the MF and residual may result in a similar payment.

With your existing quote, the .00215 MF is adding a lot to the payment.

I'm not a car salesman, I'm just close to that dealership.

    Ohio
If I add up all the charges on that page (including first payment), then deduct the rebate, I get an adjusted CAP cost of $29,907.
Using that number and .00215 MF and 61% residual, I get $342/mo.
Tax is collected upfront in OH, so I just added their tax number into the CAP.

You'll notice that nowhere on that screenshot do they disclose the adjusted CAP cost. If they gave that to you, it might become clear where the extra $20/mo.is coming from. Maybe an acquisition fee?

Yes, I have tried everything I can think of using those numbers to get to their figure and cannot do it. I keep coming up with $330's to low $340's. Their excuse continues to be that I am not doing something correctly. Guy even claimed to put the numbers into the same calculator I was using yet he somehow resulted with $410/mo. I told him that was impossible as I told him exactly the numbers I put in and the reasoning behind my numbers.

Not sure. But using the rebate and the sale price, I can only assume it is 28k. How else can you use a 6250 rebate with that sale price?

You'll have to check with the dealer to see what cap cost they are using to get the $410/mo quote.

The math is the math - and, there are really only two variables in a lease payment calculation - the MF and the cap cost. MSRP and residual values are fixed.

I understand that. But they have the sale price listed. They have the MF listed. They have a rebate of 6250 listed. How do you do the math with those numbers to get 362 let alone 410? I mean I can get there just by playing with numbers as well, but those would just be made up numbers, not the ones on their sell sheet. On Dodge website the lease price is even 345.

Understand that the sale price is not the same as the 'adjusted cap cost' - that is the selling price PLUS any taxes or fees you are not paying up front LESS any down payment or incentives. My co-host estimated a number of $29,907, but you'll have to ask the dealer what number they are using for the adjusted cap cost to get the $410/mo payment quote. Might be hidden charges they are reluctant to disclose.

Might be time to start working with another dealer, if this one is being stubborn about transparency.

Yeah, pretty sure I put all their numbers in. Heading to another dealer today so we will see.

Curious what the MF and residual is on a base R/T scat pack for 12k/36mo. Tier 1 credit. I think I saw that buy can't find the post on my phone.

    RV/MF on scat pack challenger AND T/A 392 48911

    Sorry 36/12

    I see two Scat Packs - 392 and R/T.

    T/A 392 - standard MF and 58%

ok, last try for a challenger rt scat pack. MSRP of 41780 from a dealer in ann arbor, so I would have to drive 250 miles. Sale price of 40035 minus rebates of 4750. Can you guys give me chrysler numbers for a 36/12k lease on that? TTL would be due at signing. I would like to know what the numbers are for the MF. I am not sure what standard MF means.

We don't have the standard money factor for May.. When we've seen it, it's usually in the .0020-.0022 range.

Damn, why so high on the scat pack when a hellcat and sxt is a tenth of that? What is MF and residual for a 36/10500 then?

Got mine last weekend. Love it completely. BIggest annoyance is the damn weather alerts. No one can figure out how to disable since 2015. Only option according to sirius is to deactivate your free trial and purchase a plan without the weather. Seems like great customer service.

Walked out at 352/mo with 1500 at signing for fees and taxes.

    All use Standard MF

    R/T Scat Pack: 75%/67%/65% residual

If that's the 392 Hemi Scat Pack Shaker Coupe, then: 74%/67%/64% residual

Frankly, I'd appreciate it if Chrysler would quit using the same trim names for different models - there are 5 different Challenger models that begin with R/T.
