At initial contact, I've got quote OTD $26,500

July 4th is coming soon. So I am wondering whether I should go for lower. Any advice?

    Thanks,

Just bought 2017 Rav4 Hybrid Limited with Advance Technology Package.

    MSRP:36515.00

Paid (OTD): 33K ( Cash deal took benefit of $2500 cashback from Toyota on cash deals..Took my own finance 1.99% from Credit union )
    Breakdown : $30,100+6.875tax (NJ)+$400 (Dealer fees) + $400 (Title/tags).
    Invoice: $34,305 .

So overall OK deal, i got. Silver Metallic Color with black interior.

Bought it from Toyota in morristown, NJ. Seems like they are doing construction and want to get rid of inventory. in area they were on first quote 2000 less and reduced by another $700 to agree on $33K OTD Price.

Just got a 2017 RAV4 XLE Hybrid AWD with the convience package, in Indianapolis
    MSRP 30,500
I paid 27,900 before taxes & fees, then they gave me a $750 rebate (grad rebate) which went directly towards  part of the down payment. 0% financing for 72 months.

Did a lot of research online, but didn't bounce around dealerships. I don't have buyer's remorse, but still feel a little uneasy, like I should of shopped around more, maybe negotiated more, etc. Did I do okay?

R u sure..MSRP was $30,5K...Because convinience Package should put MSRP close to 32K.

You may have left few bucks on table. Personally i feel, one should take their $1500 rebate and credit union financing.. pretty easy and far better.

But those are in long view small things.

    Congrats on new car!!

Just bought our car today for Rav4 2017 XLE with Special Value Package plus Power lift gate OTD $24,660.

If you have the Costco membership, remember to go to CostcoAuto.com program to search for the car you like, then you will get straight forward discount with NO Haggle.

Now, if you go through Costco the dealer will take off $1900 from the invoice price (NOT MSRP price),
plus Tax then minus $2000 rebate. So total I got discount for $1900 Costco member + $2000 rebate + $525 discount from the Manufacturer package.

You can get more discount if you are Military $750, College Grad within 2 years $750 or will be graduating in 6 months, or Toyota loyalty $500

I was there to get the SE for OTD $28,153 but when we were ready to get the key, the other family took the key before us just a few minutes. So both of us were buying the car at the same time but I was there a few minutes left. Hence, have to search for another SE white color exterior but none around the area within 100 miles. Therefore, we decided to take the XLE white exterior and nutmeg interior. Beautiful care but no leather seats :(.
It took us about 7 hours for to walk out the door. What an experience ...whew ...

Didn't finance through Toyota, finance through Credit Union for 1.94% for 5 years.

    Good luck!

Am looking at a 2017 Hybrid XLE, MSRP was about 30500. Dealer said they will sell at 26500. But Truecar shows there are more room for negotiation. Can you advise?

Green bay area. So after tax and fees, out of door price would be 28600.

    Curious...
my husband and I just bought a 2017 LE Rav4 FWD with all weathered mats, cargo tray, cargo cover, roof rails, bumper protector, and mud guard during the 4th of July sale, with the 0% APR deal for 72 months. Our area code is 94303, East Palo Alto, CA. We paid $25,000 OTD... did we get ripped off? I'm reading how some people paid $24k for their XLE with packages. The MSRP is $26,167 for this Rav.  It's making me feel buyers remorse. Did we pay too much? I negotiated with 4 toyotas around the Bay Area for a week

If you negotiated with four dealers, and took the best price, how could you be "ripped off"?

    Hi All,

I'm planning on buying a brand new 2017 Rav 4 LE AWD. I live in the Philadelphia area- Northeast Philly area. Has anyone from this area purchased this particular model or similar model and how much did they paid for it OTD(fees, tags, title, doc fees, etc). Just want a good ball park price to aim for. Thanks all!!!

edit: I plan to get the tonneau cover, and all season floor liners too included in the whole deal. I'm thinking to offer $22,500 to $23,700 OTD. Would this seem logical? Also, I read that Toyota is offering rebates such as 2500$ cash back.

Good price. Was this AWD or FWD?

Last month I bought my beautiful Rav 4 2017 LE in electric storm blue, 22000 OTD, i believe it's great deal, it took me 2 months negotiate with all the dealers in my area, my zip code 75050.

    Dear all,

I Started my saga about 2 weeks ago by deciding to buy a Rav4 XLE with Power Premium Extra Value Package. The problem is, I live in Miami, and from what I heard, toughest place on earth to bargain, right?? =)

So, I got some prices from forums like this one and I go try my best. Geeezz it is so stressful. They come with that seller talk "give me your price to close the deal right now" so I give them OTD 25K.. well if it is not possible, why the h**l they ask?

I have stress limit of 1 dealer per week. so below is what I got until now.

    33178 local dealers

    - RAV4 XLE Dark Gray MSRP 29,545 OTD 27,500 (didn't finish the negotiation, had to leave before, I was in a hurry)
    - RAV4 XLE Black - Power Premium Extra Value Package (front and back sonar + 7in display with Nav + push start) MSRP 29,409 OTD 26,950

Well, but from what I see on the forum, my prices are still way higher. I need to visit other dealers, I am willing to go even far north from Miami-Dade. Can someone shed some lights and recommend a good dealer up to Orlando?

Or for the masters of the market, let me know if 26,950 is a good price OTD, knowing that they are about to release 2018 models. I have two more dealers to go around where I live.

PS: I noticed on the window sticker a very curious thing... on the Included part shows that the car has a 6.1"display and on the optional parts shows that the car has a 7" HD display. I don't think that the window sticker should say that the car has 2 screens and 2 sizes. I play a joke with sellers people, asking them what is the display size, they always say 6.1, even knowing that with Nav the car has a 7"display.. What a great job Toyota, but who cares... I have no time to address this to Toyota.. if someone does... go for it...

    Regards,
    Gui

I just want to share my purchase experience.
Picked up 17 RAV4 SE Gray w/Power extra value pkg yesterday.
    MSRP $32,444
    Price after dealer's discount and 3K rebate : $26,200 + ttl + doc fee
My target price was $25,000 but, there are only 3 dealers in my area and only few SE w/Gray available.
It was the best price I could get.
I was going to buy XLE at fitst time, but did not like the cloth seat and the Halogen head lamp, etc.
    Brought my own finance.

first time poster but thank you for all your insights.

wanted to share that yesterday I helped my mom purchase a 2017 Toyota RAV4 XLE FWD (dark gray metallic) no options from Toyota of Pasadena in Southern California.

I don't have the exact numbers in front of me, but MSRP was around 26800+ and we settled on 26500 out the door after initially offering 26K OTD.

0% APR for 72 months through their finance program, so we weren't able to take the $2000 rebate (it was either the cash rebate or 0% APR)

Finance was a breeze and they didn't upsell anything. Hope this helps and sorry if I missed anything.

    Hello Folks,

Just want to share my buying experience with 2017 RAV4 in the Dallas area. I bought it last week of August when Toyota still had a 2500 rebate offer on RAV4 in our region. I shopped for 2 weeks all done online, no visiting the dealerships. I researched the RAV4 pretty heavily and have secured financing prior to making contact with the dealers. The lowest offer I got did not meet my preferences so I ended up getting a 2017 RAV4 XLE with "Plus Extra Value Package" in exact configuration and price I wanted for 23675 out the door, MSRP for 28700 (w/ dealer add on's). I bought my last 2 Toyota's and 1 Honda in the same manner. I have yet to pay over invoice price. Good luck!

    Hello fellow Rav4 Drivers,

I'm in the process of purchasing RAV4 XLE with extra options with it and I really need your help in order to make a great buy.

I will attach the sales sheet with options listed and if you could please tell me if the OTD price is alright.

With all these options, the OTD price was $26,587.96 total in Houston, TX. The price is without the rebate, but with special rate at 0% for 72 months.

Do you think it's a really good price? would you make the purchase in a heart beat?

    Thank you,

Purchased a 2017 Hybrid XLE, only "options" were floor mats and Tonneau cover, sale price including doc fees but before sales tax was $28,030, after $3,000 cash back, price was $25,030 before sales tax. Had to call multiple dealerships to get in this range. How did I do?

Can anyone give me an estimate on what percentage off of MSRP we should shoot for for a 2017 RAV4 SE or Limited? I want to negotiate my price up front and then get the $3000 cash back from Toyota.

Also, I read somewhere today that the $3000 off only applies if you pay MSRP, does anyone know if that is correct? I can't find that information on the Toyota website.

Thanks so much, this is the week.

I only see $3000 on the Hybrid.
    $2000 on GAS model
My info could be out of date, though.

But, no, that's a rebate from Toyota. You don't have to pay MSRP to get it.

It seems to be a regional incentive, the $3000 is for all models. Now I'm just trying to figure out what my price goal should be.

    $2000 on GAS model
My info could be out of date, though.

But, no, that's a rebate from Toyota. You don't have to pay MSRP to get it.
It seems to be a regional incentive, the $3000 is for all models. Now I'm just trying to figure out what my price goal should be.

My understanding is that the Edmunds pricing is significantly higher than what is actually available in the market. Have you not found that to be the case?

I've not shopped for Toyotas, so I can't really say.

I just purchased a RAV 4 Hybrid XLE, here are the figures. I am sensing that I could have negotiated a better deal:

MRSP: 32,303 (convenience package and floor mats are included in this price)

    Purchase Price: $28,742
    Taxes and fees: $2793
    Total Price: $31,535

    Minus $3000 rebate = $28,535

This is a savings of $3768 off the MSRP, or 12.39%

    Thanks for any input!

Hi guys. I'm looking to maybe pickup a 2017 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid XLE with a moonroof. I currently drive a 2011 Prius 2 (base model) with 48,000 miles on it (in emmaculant condition). According to the dealer's site:
    Price: $32,508
    Dealer Discount: -$4,519
    Sale Price: $27,989

I'm thinking about asking them to deduct $2,000 from the sale price and to give me $10,000 for my trade in. Am I asking for enough off or am I asking too much? I will be taking advantage of the 0% financing for 72 months.

You should head over to the "real world trade in values" thread to get a realistic value of the Prius
