What is the adjusted cap cost? What state and tax rate? NY 8.875% Before he said the sale price $32244. Not sure when he did the above calculation he didn't indicate. I said too high I can't accept, asked him $0 upfront, $340/mo. all fees included. But he said he can only do $1350 upfront, $340/mo. Btw how to avoid any hidden fees? Is that correct if I ask him the total cost of lease? Will that be upfront+monthly payment=total cost, and there won't be any additional fees? Thanks

That's why we suggest you negotiate the selling price, then understand fully what was added to that to get to the adjusted cap cost.

You don't want to negotiate the payment; that gives the dealer the opportunity to hide fees into the payment.

Is there anything else I need to ask and pay attention to? btw I can't see some numbers list on it directly such as the selling price, money factor and residua value which he told me 0.00003 and 59%, is it ok? I don't see the selling price or adjusted cap cost, since you are adding the taxes into the lease payment.

And, keep the $400 cap reduction in your pocket. Your payment will go up about $12/mo.

If you sum up the payments and add the up front cash, I get $10,371

I would like to cosign with my new business which just register last month. 1.They said I can not put the company name on the lease because it's too new, is that true even I'll cosign with it? 2. They need my personal income proof for this lease which I ignored this part, do you know how much exactly I should proof to get the bank approve for this leasing, $260/mo? Will $12k/year in 2016 ok to get the bank approved? Thank you!!!

I've never leased a car through a business, but I suspect that the same credit rules apply - the business needs to establish a credit history before a lender will sign off on a lease.

It wouldn't surprise me that the dealer (bank) is asking for your personal financial info, if you are co-signing the lease.

Income is never a determining factor in granting credit - it's your credit history and responsibility to pay on existing debt. That, and your current consumption of credit.

Example - you have two credit cards, each with a $10,000 limit. If you have a balance of $2000 on each card, that is 20% of the available credit.

If you have a balance of $9000 on one card and $6000 on the other, that is 75% of the available credit. You may be considered a higher risk in this case.

Lots of good information on the web about how credits scores are derived, and there are multiple sites where you can pull your own score.

I have a very good credit and the average Fico score is over 750 which I believe is totally qualify for the best Money factor, and I did took my credit score with me, but they didn't even mention my credit I think they knew that my credit is not a problem, but they pointed to my income! I have 7 credit cards and always remain the use under 15%, now the total use of my credit card is under 10% of the total credit line around $50000. Also now they said I can only lease under my personal name, but they still requested my personal finance info, required my personal income proof even I have this good credit, is it normal? Btw this is the first time I lease a car, and have no loan from the bank before.

Thanks for filling in some of the missing information. As you can see, vehicle financing is a slightly different situation than credit cards. Many banks use what's known as an "auto enhanced" credit score, where more weight is place on your prior automotive credit history. As you have none, that may explain why the dealer is asking for more information.

MSRP is $26650. With discount and lease rebate it goes down to $24400.The payments here include 6.25% Massachusetts sales tax.

My calculations are within $1 of that quote. If you're comfortable with the selling price, all else looks good.

We do, however, recommend that the up front costs be limited to the first payment and DMV costs - roll all the other fees into the lease payment.
