When Ford has lease cash to offer does that typically get taken off the price I negotiate with the dealer or do they already bake that into the sales price? I had a guy say they would only do retail cash or lease cash but not both.

Specifics.... MSRB of 40,205... 2,584 discount, 2,000 rebate = 35,621 adjusted price

I didn't tell them I was leasing until I got to the 35,621 price

Also is Ford able to mess with residual or is that set in stone?

Retail cash isn't applicable to a lease.
Looks like they laid out the whole pricing structure to you, but you didn't tell them you were leasing, so the rebates changed, once you did.

The dealer cannot alter the residual

I negotiated a sale price for my friends 17 Sel Edge in NY. Here are the details. Msrp was $41,095. Selling price was $ $33,000. or $1050 below invoice price. He leased vehicle so Ford was offering 3k in lease cash plus another $ 1500 rebate for having a non ford/Lincoln lease. Deal came to 5500 below invoice price to lease . I believe his payments is $340. for 12/36k. Tax, doc fee, Dmv fees were paid out of pocket

Did incentives on leasing the Edge change for August in Pennsylvania? I've been talking with a dealer and they told me that yesterday (July 31st) rebates were at $4000, but now today with the new month they've changed to only $3000. Not sure if this is entirely truthful information. Any thoughts?
