Hi, Could you please help me with September number for 2018 BMW 540xi in NY for 36 month/15K miles a year. Also are there any discounts for existing BMW owners or being an employee for a specific organization?

Money factor is .00194 Residual is 59% or $48,058.45 Acqusition fee is $925
Not a good deal.
1. Only 3.5% off sticker before incentives; you want to target 7% off (about $75,750) 2. MF is marked up. Base MF this month is .00152 3. We don't recommend putting money down on a lease - it masks the true cost, and the money would be lost if the car is stolen or totaled.
If I recalculate with the bigger discount (but add in the $925 acquisition fee and $150 doc fee to the selling price) and base MF, I get $989/mo plus tax.
Michaell, thanks so much for the fast response. This is 8.9% tax (WA).
This dealer is not budging on the numbers, do you have any recommendations? Can I find any dealer nationwide that has a build slot and use them or does it have to be within state?

The decision to sell or lease to an out of state customer is up to the individual dealer, not BMW.
The more dealers you involve, the better your chances are of getting a good deal.
I'm in need of help. I been to several dealers over the last few weeks and this is the best I got for a 2018 530xi that's need to be built. I'm looking for 3years 10,000 miles MSRP 65,760 money factor 1.52 residual 59% total capitalized cost 55,217 due at signing 4,190 Monthly payments 599
i do qualify for a fleet discount and currently have 5 payments left on my current BMW lease (2015 328xi)which they said they can only waive 3 with the pull ahead program.
Im also over miles on my current car by 12,000miles due to heavy during when I first got it back and forth to work, is it better to pay it off separately or add it to my monthly payments. Thanks in advance for your help

Frankly, your best approach is to keep your 3-series until the lease is up. And, we don't recommend such a large up front amount - only pay the first payment and DMV costs up front, and roll the taxes and fees into the lease payment.
With your numbers, I get $599/mo, too. Guessing the $4190 covers the 2 payments on the old lease, the first payment on the new lease, the sales tax and fees.
Thank you for your help I have to order the car they said it can take up to 2 months so I will have to pay my next 2 payments I didn't put anything down for the order I just wanna make sure this is as good a deal they say before I submit my credit application here are the final numbers Not including the 2 payments

do you think I can bring either the monthly or down payment lower?
You can structure the lease with as much or as little down as you want. The lower the up front cash, the higher the payment will be. We do suggest limiting the up front cash to just the first payment and DMV costs. Any money for fees, taxes or down payment would be lost if the car is stolen or totaled.

I think the numbers you are being quoted are wrong.
IL taxes the sum of the payments, not the entire selling price.
Ask the dealer what the adjusted cap cost is; I don't see the $925 acquisition fee mentioned anywhere.
Also, do you live in the City of Chicago? There are separate city sales tax assessed on a lease, as well.
I live in dupage county tax is 7 % i asked the dealer abt it you are correct it's on the payments which by my calculation is $2620 now he is saying it should be $3000 925 acq fee is rolled into the payment

There is $1500 lease credit on the 2018 5-series, so your net discount from sticker is less than 6%. We suggest 7% off MSRP, before incentives, so the selling price should be $73,635 (an additional $1100 off their quote).
Hi, I don't see any 2018 5 series come with cold weather package any more. I would like to have the heated rear seats and checked a few dealers in Long Island, NY and they don't seem to have it in their inventory. Is this the case?

Sorry, we don't track feature differences between years. Have you checked the BMW website to see if it is available as an option?

I don't think it is available as a "package" anymore, but the individual options can be added (such as heated rear seats and heated steering wheel). If you can get a 2018 build sheet they are listed as separate options.
I’m going to take a lease delivery later this month on an 2018 540i xDrive and I had a few questions:
1) Do you have the October residuals and money factor for a 36 month/12k miles lease?
2) Do you have the money factor for the same lease as a single pay lease? (I know I will be told that it not recommended to put out all that money as a down payment, but I just wanted to get a comparison on how much it saves).
3) Do you know if there are any additional BMW incentives for this lease in Massachusetts beginning in October?
4) Finally, does anyone know how much the BMW Lease Protection Program and Tire/Wheel Protection programs cost for 3 years? (I’m referring to the ones offered directly from BMW, at the dealer). I hear the costs on these can vary wildly, and there is a lot of debate on if they are a rip off or not. I’d like to know about what they should cost me after a dealer markup, just in case I was interested in getting one of them.
Thanks!
edit: I had set up this to post the morning on October 3rd, then saw the above post that the numbers might not be available yet. Whenever you can get them, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

.00152 MF and 58% residual .00122 MF for single-pay Possibly, there is a $1500 lease credit on this model. No idea on the dealer cost on insurance plans. They tend to be wildly expensive for the coverage. Even at a significant discount, I can never make a case for them.
don't get the insurance. as previously just mentioned by kyfdx, too expensive. i have purchased it before and it is quite useless. it cost a lot less to replace one or two tires. it costs around 20 to repair a flat if it is repairable. even dealer tells you run flat can't be repaired, it is okay if you repair. the only one who would need it is really someone who does a lot of parallel parkings and does a very poor job all the time and the wheel/rim got damaged badly from sidewalk and then you would better off buying the insurance to avoid rip off during return.
With negotiation for lease it seems like the main factors would be the MSRP and MF. I am looking to lease a 2018 540i. What is the lowest MF that is usually achieved for the best deal in relation to the base MF? I am uncertain about the single pay method for lease which reduces the money factor. That is not a down payment, right? Would there be any risk in losing money with this type of lease? Also I was told that BMW no longer has MSD. Is that true? Thanks.

The base money factor is the lowest available. BMWFS allows dealers to mark it up by .00040. Single pay only reduces the money factor by .00030. It helps, but it might not be worth pre-paying the whole lease. It's not a downpayment. It's a pre-payment of the 36 payments, and if the lease ends early, then it's treated as though the payments were made sequentially.
Can I get the most recent MF/Residual on the 530e on a 10K/36? Also, when calculating net cap for calculations do I reduce the federal/state PHEV tax credit after the negotiated price for monthly payment calculations? If not, how does the tax incentive get calculated?

You don't get the Federal credit, the bank does. If you get a state credit, it comes to you in a check from the state, later (assuming you are in CA?). So, it won't figure into your lease calculation. Some members have reported making a CAP reduction out of pocket, knowing they will get the money back from the state, later.
1. I am looking to lease 2018 BMW 530i xdrive with MSRP of $63K including packages. What would be a good MF, Residual and discount off MSRP for 3 yr, 36K mile lease ? I live in Westchester, NY with sales tax rate of 7.375%
2. I am also getting rebates for loyalty, etc. Would you recommend I consider the dealer discount first and then layer on the effect of the rebates?
I'm in the early stages of looking for a lease deal on a 2018 M550i in the Los Angeles area. I've read a lot of informative stuff on this site but I'm ignorant in how the math works on a lease. How are all these data points connected to establish a monthly lease payment. Can anyone help? MSRP on the car is $83,000.

Thanks for the link to calculating payments. I created a spreadsheet of same and calculated my payments and MF's on current and past leases. I leased a 2017 BMW X3 sDrive 28i yesterday for my wife.
MSRP: $54,320 Selling price: $48,450 $3,000 out of pocket, incl. 1st pmt, fees and cap cost reduction of $796.35 Adj Cap Cost: $$47,653.65, Residual: $34,764.80, Depreciation: 12,888.85 Rent charge: $141.756 per month Term: 36 months Base Monthly Pmt: $499.78 Sales Tax 10.25%: 51.23 Total Pmt: $551.01
Where could I have negotiated a better deal? MF appears to be .0017 which is higher than the number quoted in recent posts. Discount is good but the car is a 2017.

Any thoughts?
Well, even though this is the 2018 5-series discussion...
10K/yr allowance? If so, money factor looks to be marked up from .00152 to .00172. That adds $16.mo. Selling price looks good... was there a rebate involved in any of that? Is it brand new or a service loaner?
We bought a 2017 X3 service loaner in September. had a couple of rebates and took advantage of the 72mo/0% financing. My wife drives it, and we weren't sure we could keep it under 15K/yr, so decided against a lease. Almost the exact same MSRP (but, on an xDrive)
10K miles/yr and Yes I didn't see that the selling price included the Loyalty bonus of $1,500, it wasn't noted anywhere on the contract. Car wasn't represented as a service loaner but it had 94 miles on it. Sorry I popped this into a 5-series discussion, that's my next project for my 2018 M550i. Thanks for responding.

94 miles makes it unlikely to be a loaner. Guessing that price includes a rebate. Even so, that's a good selling price. The money factor bump is only $575. You did pretty well.

do you have MF and residual for both 2017 and 2018 for both 10k and 12k for
530i xdrive and 530 e x drive]]
What incentives are being offered for those as well and also how does the $4668 tax incentive work for the plug in hybrid?
Also what is the trunk space like in comparison to the non hybrid and has anyone installed a 240 volt charger in their garage?
Thanks for all the help
No information on incentives, yet.
No information on trunk space restrictions with the hybrid.

Possibly, there is a $1500 lease credit on this model.
No idea on the dealer cost on insurance plans. They tend to be wildly expensive for the coverage. Even at a significant discount, I can never make a case for them.

Where could I have negotiated a better deal? MF appears to be .0017 which is higher than the number quoted in recent posts. Discount is good but the car is a 2017.
Any thoughts?
10K/yr allowance?
If so, money factor looks to be marked up from .00152 to .00172. That adds $16.mo.
Selling price looks good... was there a rebate involved in any of that?
Is it brand new or a service loaner?
We bought a 2017 X3 service loaner in September. had a couple of rebates and took advantage of the 72mo/0% financing. My wife drives it, and we weren't sure we could keep it under 15K/yr, so decided against a lease. Almost the exact same MSRP (but, on an xDrive)
