    Hi there. Curious what the MF and residual are on a 33/10 lease in Los Angeles for both the Grand Select and Grand Touring. Also, I have seen $1800 and $1470 as lease incentives and an additional $500 rebate for select CX5 models. Could you please clarify which these apply to? Thank you so much.

    Hi all. MY daughter made a deal for a 17 GT with premium, 33,820 sticker. Trading a car they say they are giving her 10k for which is a stretch imo. The lease deal is $220 for 36 mos 36k Miles and they give her a check for $6k. So, she’s putting $4k in, 1st mos pmt, security, buy down, etc. It sounds ok but that’s a lot of equity going in she’s losing. Residual 19550. Strangely she didn’t put anything down or sign anything? Picking up 1/2/18. Any thoughts appreciated. Thx

    Yeah, about $30/mo for every $1000.

    I’m not sure she wasn’t just shopping a payment and the dealer worked to give her what she was looking for. She is going to ask them to fax her the deal worksheet first thing in the morning.

    Well my Saturday plans changed due to snow so I signed on Saturday! After going through 5 lease deals I learned something new this time. The Mazda dealers have a lower payoff than the leasee does. I even called Mazda Capital services/Chase and went through the voice prompts 2 ways, once as finance customer, once as dealer. Two different amounts. Knowing what their buyout is puts you in a better position to play the spreadsheet game of structuring the new lease with positive lease equity trade. Prior to learning this I was calculating equity but subtracting MY payoff balance from the trade-in valuation.
