There was really not any talk of the lease rates or what the net cap cost was (actually, was told 1000 over invoice), however the final number doesn't seem too awful to me. It was for a pretty base G37 Journey with premium and a few other options totaling about $600 for about $38,400 MSRP. The initial number with 850 due at delivery (reg + first payment) was 409/mo + tax.
A second offer was 1000 due at delivery (not really sure where that extra 150 came from) for a lease payment of 381/mo + tax.
I know I probably should get the actual details before signing, but I just want to know if this is in the ballpark. Also not sure if I want to do MSD's.

Wow that sounds good the only thing is i'm preparing to go to dealer this upcoming weekend and i can't get your numbers to work. If I take 60% of 41870 = 25,122 how do you get 26283? I am new to this am I doing something wrong?
Mitchee75 Nothing down just first month plus dmv (ny) to switch plates etc. I do not know the exact price or formula but remember reading in the forum like 5-7 dllrs more per monthly payment
My monthly is $401.00 ( infiniti finance lease) let u know I am getting the car tomorrow I'll post how it goes! Artdog
what is the current money factor and residual for G37x Sedan for 3 years at 12K in NJ? how about 15K? Does 39 months make a difference? I would like to go in this weekend and see if I can pick one up. My lease is up in a month and I have the "lease inspector" coming out tomorrow.
Here are my final purchase details the G37 Journey coupe w/ Premium package, SPORT Pkg, Navi Pkg, w/ kick plate and first aid/net/mat for a 36 month 15K lease in Los Angeles, California (If someone else wants a similar deal email me or comment on this thread and I'll give you the contact info to the dealer and manager who worked with me):

Im negotiating with a dealer to lease a 2011 g37 coupe journey.
he said its cheaper to lease for 39 months. is this true or is he bs'ing m.e?
hes offering "Your best term is 39 months. With drive offs only which comes out to about $950 up front. Your payments would be $369 + tax with 10k a year. Or for 12k a year, same down and 379 + tax."
Thanks Artdog...looking forward to your post. I hope it all goes well. If it does, I might just have to come to NY to get my ride.
I will begin serious negotiations tomorrow at the dealership here, but I heard they are not big on negotiating since they are the only dealership in the state....always good to have a back up plan.
tlb5 - Thanks for your responses...I think I finally get how this works. I was calculating the residual off of the sale price rather than the MSRP so was coming up very off from the quotes. I'm not sure where the NY dealers are coming up with their numbers, but their prices did seem to be less on the sell side--I asked one of the dealers and he said it may be because there were 4 infiniti dealers within 30 miles of eachother in NYC. Both the NY and MA numbers did include tax, but the NY guy was using 5% (we're at 6.25% now). Anyway, I think I may have dropped buying out of state all together because it probably will get ugly somehow (and all that driving to get there to only come home empty-handed isn't a situation I want to get into).
The MSRP I have been given for the 2011 G37X AWD coupe w/ premium package (which doesn't include nav) is $43,920. I've gotten this same number from 3 dealers but can't seem to verify online. Do I just believe it?
For the 24mo/15K I'm coming up with about $540/month and the dealer quoted me $544/month--I'm getting closer, but it's off somewhere. But that's okay, because my numbers may need to change again...
I'm contemplating upping to 36 or 39 months over the 24 just to make all these fees worth my while (acq., doc, registration, disposition). Any thoughts?
Also, thanks to this forum I now know what MSDs are. This might be interesting. Since the norm around here is to put as little down as possible (do you agree with this btw?), this may be a good way to have some money down where it can earn the equivalent of ~18% interest/year. For the experts: unless I somehow default on my payments, I will always get this back, right? (in a sitution where I wreck the car and do have gap insurance, for example.) It seems like a no brainer if you have the extra cash and you're not making bank on the DOW these days. Am I missing something?
Also, does anyone know if the "document fee" I keep getting quoted in MA is negotiable? How about the disposition fee? I read the dealer charges leasors that fee, and then future buyers of the leased vehicle a similar fee to clean up the car for them...scam.
Legend leasing was as promised delivered on time at my home reviewed the car Albert was a true gentleman. I will never lease from a dealer again. Not one dealer came even close to the pricing and all was done over the phone, delivery was painless right to my driveway. signed the papers wrote the small check. and went for a drive. The car is my wife's, but I love this car what a great design the x really works. thanks artdog
calc it out for yourself. only 3 numbers change - residual, MF and obviously term.
i'm looking right now at a g37 journey (prem/nav/wheels) at 10k 36 vs 39: residual goes from 62% to 61%, MF goes from 0.00084 to 0.00094 (might want to double check that by scanning back through the forum, might #'s might be outdated), and term goes from 36 to 39 (obviously!)
the payment goes from $396 to $388 so technically it's 'cheaper'. that's $288 over the term of the lease. however in CA my registration is about $400 a year so think about that- when you're lease it 3 months from expiring, you're going to buy infiniti 9 free months of registration so i guess it depends on how much reg is in your state. in my case it's basically a wash...
i just met someone last weekend from MA that was talking about what you have to do to reconcile sales tax if you purchase a vehicle out of state - sounds like a pain and best avoided if possible.
so if i put in g37x coupe with premium + destination fee i get an MSRP of $44025 and invoice price of $40561. Edmunds True market is $900 below invoice but i'm guessing because that includes some of the incentives which it is still not clear to me whether they are compatible with leasing or not (edmunds says yes but several users say no - anyone know for sure!?)
so for now i'll assume you have to pay $500 over invoice including whatever you fight for as far as doc/dealer fees go - that's a target sales price of $41061 including dealer fees (so everything but title/reg. and acquisition fee). that's all you should have the dealers fight over (in my opinion) - the sales price for that car. someone else should comment whether $500 over invoice is aggressive enough though - i haven't started shopping actual quotes YET - probably will start today or next sat - so i don't have recent experience.
so now you're at $41061, add in the $595 acq fee to the lease (up to you but i usually put this in the cap cost) and you're at an adjusted cap cost of $41656.
so, i couldn't find g37X coupe mf/residuals scanning back through the forum so you should ask car_man for those. i'll use the g37 (RWD) coupe journey #'s for now as an approximate:
if you do 24 month, 15k/yr then residual, MF are 72%, 0.00134 if you do 36 month, 15k/yr then residual, MF are 63%, 0.00121
since MSRP is $44,025 your residual for 24 month is $31,698 and for 36 month is $27,736. that makes your monthly depreciation payment either:
24 month = 513*1.0625 = $545 36 month = 471*1.0625 = $500 (sales tax warning: i assumed MA is like CA in that you tax both the depreciation and the interest but i think other states like NJ you only apply tax to depreciation and NOT interest - so you have some homework there)
all this assumes you will pay title/registration and 1st months payment at signing but there shouldn't be anything else left IF you negotiate to have all dealer/doc fees (so not acquisition which is between you and infiniti finance, not the dealer) baked into your price. you can of course re-calc the whole thing paying the acq fee upfront and then take $595 out of the adj. cap cost - so you'll owe 595 more upfront and you're monthly pmt will go down. you could add the registration fee into the adj. cap cost so you're monthly payment will go up but you'll only one 1st months out the door - all up to you but now you have all the math to do it on your own and make sure the dealer is being straight.
again it's really only the sales price (+dealer fees) that should be the negotiation in my opinion (the 41061 # in my calcs) - fight to get that as low as possible with multiple quotes - the rest is making sure the lease term #'s are all unaltered (because the dealer can negotiate everything from acq. to MF to residual but i tell them "just give me a price you're ok with assuming standard top tier credit IFS terms for the lease" and it saves me a ton of time)
i haven't ever done the MSD thing - but i guess it makes sense and unlike a cap cost reduction, i believe you get the MSD $ back if the car is totaled or lost, but confirm that with someone else. i think it's 0.0001 off the MF per ($500??) deposit - so again you can do the math yourself and see what works for you.
Remember i used the MF/residuals for a non-AWD coupe so you have to figure out those correct #'s and re-do this math. i have gravitated to 36 month leases and it seems like the majority of people on this forum ask about that term with a lesser number asking about 24/48 month but i guess it's up to you. i think 24 mo is pretty frequent to have to pay the unavoidable acq. fee. plus it takes a lot of energy to research a good price so i'm only up for it every 3 years - almost any warranty gives you coverage at least this long.
Thank you for the update. I have been in an Infiniti G for some time-great car and never a problem in snow. You wife will love it-what do you drive? Dealers suck and I am a skeptical person so I appreciate the feedback.
Thanks for the math help tlb5--I think I have that down now, if only I had the correct sales price for the below numbers.
I'm closer to making this deal finally happen. I'm settling on the 24mo/15K of the 2011 G37x awd coupe. It stings a bit cuz the 36/39 month deals look pretty good, but I don't know if I have to pick up shop and move in a couple of years etc. so better to be safe.
So I have a quote of $410/month with $4500 in MSDs up front with my first payment - the rest is rolled in. The sales price isn't matching because we went back and forth so many times today- but I have to get it to make all the calcs work before I go in and sign on Monday. They somehow got $410/month from the below figures--I think the sales price moved down some so the below comes to a higher monthly:
MSRP: 43,920 (2011 G37x awd premium package coupe) Invoice (so they said): 40,397 Selling price: 39,722 MF: .00034 (was .00124 before my 9 MSDs) Residual: 72% (31,622.40)
With the fees rolled in (but not added to the cap cost) I'm calculating about $426/month. I think the sales price may be off, but not certain how they are calculating it. Any ideas? Their quote is for $410/month (w/ 4500 in MSDs)- which sounds okay since they seem to have come in under invoice. I have a 100% refundable hold on the car for $500 on my cc--I fought to get out of it but they said it was company policy since they had to get the car from somewhere, and sent me an email to say it was fully refundable if for any reason I didn't sign.
I couldn't get out of the disposition fee (395)/doc fee (289)/option-to-purchase fee (300 if I buy). I was told the gap insurance is included in the 595 acquisition fee-is this true?
Car_man, can you please confirm the MF/residual for a 24 month g37x awd prem package coupe? How about the 36/39 mos? Thanks.
Jebell Thanks for the kind words, I drive a BMW 2001 740il white w, sand interior has 90k miles on it and runs and looks brand new. This is one of my true joys I keep this car excellent. But I drove the G37x again yesterday, I am very impressed with the acceleration and braking much better than th bmw 328xi. This G likes to be driven! Artdog
I believe the msrps and invoices are in flux (going up I heard) after the quake so u may find some discrepancies right now (dealers stated msrp and invoice might be lower than the web now) - not totally sure but thats what I read.
Knee jerk reaction: $410/month with only first month due at signing for a $44k car sounds like a really great deal, esp considering a 24 month lease. Let us know all the final details when you sign.
Anyone have opinions on a good target price for the g37 sedan relative to invoice? I have a quote for $300 over. Without any obvious incentives compatible with leasing (other than loyalty, which is not included yet in that quote) this seems more than fair to me but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything.
I got 4550 off MSRP without negotiating. That was the first offer from the dealer after I used the "get free price quotes from local dealers" option on Edmund's homepage.
That's 400 over invoice for the g37x with premium and nav + mats and cargo nets.
After speaking with two dealers, both of them offered to also pay for the last two payments on my existing lease. My existing two payments will total about $550.
That's a good enough deal for me. I'm going for it.
Thanks to everyone here for all help. Reading all the posts was extremely helpful.
I've been shopping for a 2011 37X blue slate, graphite with premium/navigator, splash guards. We've been going back and forth on the numbers. So, the one thing that they haven't been budging on thus far is the total price. They did drop the down payment to $951 though, which is the lowest down payment/monthly payment combo I've seen thus far.
36 months Cap cost 40,172 Residual is 26,908.80 15k miles per year Money factor is .00155 monthly payment is 489.87 plus tax
If I get Tier 0, it will be 479 plus tax(currently 9.8%)
Is it better to negotiate price at this point, or with the down payment/payment plan?
Hi mkadams9. The money factor that you were quoted looks good. You're probably right about the selling price though. If you are in an area that has a decent level of competition you may be able to beat this price by a couple hundred dollars.

Hi ras214. Infiniti Financial Services' March buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 G37 Sedan Premium with 15,000 miles per year are .00084 and 59%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tiers.
15,000 miles per year is the highest mileage allowance that IFS publishes residual value percentages for. If you need to drive more than this, you will have to purchase additional miles on a per-mile basis. It is less expensive to do so at lease signing than it is to wait until lease-end and have to pay an excess mileage penalty.

Hello mkadams9. Infiniti Financial Services' March buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 G37X Sedan with 15,000 miles per year are .00107 and 61%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.
The numbers for an otherwise identical 39 month lease are .00117 and 60%.
If you were to lease this car with only 12,000 miles per year, its residual values would be 2% higher.

Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum
Been shopping the G37 convertible. A dealer in my area has a 2010 that is untitled and thus new - albeit with about 4500 miles on it.
MSRP on the car is $52,215 and it appears to be loaded, Premium Package, Nav, 19" wheels, maple accents...
Capitalized amount is 45,604 after all taxes etc. Which appears to be a very good deal on price.
I was quoted on a 10k miles per year lease a payment of $612 for 39 months with nothing down except first payment.
I did not get Residual or lease factors on my quote and think the dealer might have some give on those levels, especially since I want/need 15k miles per year.
Can anyone provide current levels from Infiniti financing and/or private lenders (I have pristine credit) on this vehicle.
Any incentives I should know about that might help move the price?
G37 journey sedan with premium, nav, performance tires/wheels, int. accents and kick plates
current MSRP is $42,125, invoice $38,674 - HOWEVER dealer stated MSRP was $41570 and invoice was $38109. Since the gap between MSRP and invoice was only $10 different, and his quoted # was lower than the current edmunds/infiniti #, i assume this is the price adjustment that just took place?
So operating off MSRP=41570/INVOICE=38109:
$38209 sale price -$1000 loyalty +$595 bank fee +45 doc -$107.33 "down" - they snaked this in here somehow between when i agreed to terms with the dealer and i sat down with the finance guy - no idea why they did it - i expressed my annoyance but i thought it was a good price even with an extra $107 on it, so i let it slide
$37,741.67 adjusted cap cost
36 mo, 10k/yr residual = 62%, MF = 0.00084 (they tried to set the MF at 0.00115 at first so this forum saved me $20/mo for the next 3 years!)
$25773.40 residual
Depreciation = (37741.67-25773.4)/36 = 332.45 Interest = (37741.67+25773.4)*0.00084 = 53.35 Base = 385.80 With CA tax = 421.49
OTD cost = first month ($421.49), registration ($531), mystery $107.33 extra cap cost reduction, sales tax on $1000 loyalty and the mystery cap cost reduction ($102.43), $37.75 (tire/misc dmv fees) = $1200
so i'd say overall counting that 107.33 extra cap the real selling price was $38316 with only first month/reg/dmv fees/tax on loyalty OTD
$38316 is $207 over his stated invoice or $358 under the current edmunds listed invoice - again i assume that might be the new price adjustment i heard about...
overall ok experience (had a more straightforward one 2 weeks ago when i leased my wife's RX350) - MF issue was a little snag i had to work through (would've been $720 over the life of the lease) so i can't thank the forum, esp. our hosts, enough..!
MSRP - $42,200 39 months 12,000 miles per year 62% residual MF 0.00117 $691 at signing, which includes first month's Here's where the numbers get a little weird - $38,700 sale price, which supposedly includes my $1,000 loyalty money (turning in a G37 on lease termination); but $39,250 cap cost?? Did they roll additional fees into the cap cost?
Comes to $449/mo. including 9% PA tax.
Dealer was flipping out and acting like this is the best deal they've seen recently. Am I getting played?
Just went thru this if you have a moment read my earlier posts on my deal, I now have the car. The stealers will play a million games. you need to get the real pricing. Keep plugging away! Artdog
i expressed my annoyance but i thought it was a good price even with an extra $107 on it, so i let it slide
The 107 is correct.. You have the dealer doc, acquisition cost and royalty rebate rolled in to the cap cost.
so you total cap cost is 38209+595+45-1000=37849
And instead of using 37849, they use 37741.67 to calculate your lease.. So you need to pay in the drive off to reduce the cap cost (37849-37741= 108). And here is your 107 mystery cap cost reduction. Infiniti lease has very good break down on the cap cost.. It is right below the monthly payment calculation... You get a really good deal.. Congrat...
I believe the msrps and invoices are in flux (going up I heard) after the quake so u may find some discrepancies right now (dealers stated msrp and invoice might be lower than the web now) - not totally sure but thats what I read.
In flux because cars made in different dates and hence different MSRP and invoice are in dealer's lot right now... It is not uncommon for dealer to have a car builded 3 to 4 months ago that has lower price than one that was build last months with exactly the same equipments...
MSRP $39870. Final offerred price $37,800. $1,000 rebate= approx $36,800. 39mo lease. My trade in would be $11,000 with a payoff of $9200. Final deal would be $399 month. No down payment, no other out of pocket expenses. 10,000 miles/per year. I usually drive 6,000 mi per year. Residual value quoted would be $25,118.
definitely the numbers added up - i just wasn't sure why they used 37741.67 to calc the lease instead of using 37849 - they knew exactly what i did/did not want rolled in so it just made things confusing when i got into the finance office - but like i said it was a small difference and i was happy with the deal regardless.
i just wasn't sure why they used 37741.67 to calc the lease instead of using 37849 - they knew exactly what i did/did not want rolled in so it just made things confusing
I guess most folks just focus on monthly payment and don't pay any attention to drive off. So if salesperson change the monthly payment, it become a very big deal to explain to the customer... I think the point is that they did not slip any last minute charge into your lease.. Congrat...
Tlb5, Congrats on your deal and thanks for all your help. I didn't go through with the g37x deal in the end--I changed my mind and am looking at bmws now... better before I sign than after!
ozmoses, the deal you listed above does not sound very promising. Here is the deal I just negotiated for a G37 with premium package (no navigation). Terms were for 39 months with 12k miles a year:
MSRP: 39,101 Agreed sells price = invoice price of about $35,500 MF used was .00094 Residual was 60% Money put down at signing to cover fees, 1st month payment and reduce cap cost = $4,200.
Monthly payment included taxes ended up being $357 a month.
I know people on this site suggest not to put money down at the beginning but I had the extra cash and wanted to get my payment to a specific number.
I was very happy with the final deal and the very responsive service with the rep that I was dealing with but my current lease doesn't end until May so I am going to wait and go back then and hopefully the residuals and MF don't change to much by that point or change for the better. Hope this helps.
To call on your expertise, I wanted to get your thoughts on the following: I don't drive that much so I'm going with 10,000 miles. 2011 G37x Sports Appearance Package Gross Cap Cost- 40618.07 Cap Cost Reduction- 2727.22 -Adjust Cap Cost- $37890.85 -Residual Value- $26475.75 (appears to be about 65%) Not sure what the money factor is 39 month lease Monthly payment $409 No money down
Does not seem like a good deal. What is the price paid for the car? Msrp? You'll need to do some negotiating to get the price down. Also, why are you putting so much money down? And what is your money factor?
Read it again. I'm not putting any money down. I also have a Trade allowance of $2428 + a $1,000 rebate. I'm not an expert in leasing, so I'm just a bit concerned. Need to find out about the money factor.

(was a 39 month lease at 10K)
Advice?

Would you know how much more they would have charged for 12k per year as oppose to 10k. Thanks for all the info
Nothing down just first month plus dmv (ny) to switch plates etc.
I do not know the exact price or formula but remember reading in the forum like 5-7 dllrs more per monthly payment
My monthly is $401.00 ( infiniti finance lease) let u know I am getting the car tomorrow I'll post how it goes!

he said its cheaper to lease for 39 months. is this true or is he bs'ing m.e?
hes offering "Your best term is 39 months. With drive offs only which comes out to about $950 up front. Your payments would be $369 + tax with 10k a year. Or for 12k a year, same down and 379 + tax."
thoughts?
I will begin serious negotiations tomorrow at the dealership here, but I heard they are not big on negotiating since they are the only dealership in the state....always good to have a back up plan.
Thanks again
Not one dealer came even close to the pricing and all was done over the phone, delivery was painless right to my driveway. signed the papers wrote the small check. and went for a drive. The car is my wife's, but I love this car what a great design the x really works.
thanks

calc it out for yourself. only 3 numbers change - residual, MF and obviously term.
i'm looking right now at a g37 journey (prem/nav/wheels) at 10k 36 vs 39: residual goes from 62% to 61%, MF goes from 0.00084 to 0.00094 (might want to double check that by scanning back through the forum, might #'s might be outdated), and term goes from 36 to 39 (obviously!)
the payment goes from $396 to $388 so technically it's 'cheaper'. that's $288 over the term of the lease. however in CA my registration is about $400 a year so think about that- when you're lease it 3 months from expiring, you're going to buy infiniti 9 free months of registration so i guess it depends on how much reg is in your state. in my case it's basically a wash...
i just met someone last weekend from MA that was talking about what you have to do to reconcile sales tax if you purchase a vehicle out of state - sounds like a pain and best avoided if possible.
so if i put in g37x coupe with premium + destination fee i get an MSRP of $44025 and invoice price of $40561. Edmunds True market is $900 below invoice but i'm guessing because that includes some of the incentives which it is still not clear to me whether they are compatible with leasing or not (edmunds says yes but several users say no - anyone know for sure!?)
so for now i'll assume you have to pay $500 over invoice including whatever you fight for as far as doc/dealer fees go - that's a target sales price of $41061 including dealer fees (so everything but title/reg. and acquisition fee). that's all you should have the dealers fight over (in my opinion) - the sales price for that car. someone else should comment whether $500 over invoice is aggressive enough though - i haven't started shopping actual quotes YET - probably will start today or next sat - so i don't have recent experience.
so now you're at $41061, add in the $595 acq fee to the lease (up to you but i usually put this in the cap cost) and you're at an adjusted cap cost of $41656.
so, i couldn't find g37X coupe mf/residuals scanning back through the forum so you should ask car_man for those. i'll use the g37 (RWD) coupe journey #'s for now as an approximate:
if you do 24 month, 15k/yr then residual, MF are 72%, 0.00134
if you do 36 month, 15k/yr then residual, MF are 63%, 0.00121
since MSRP is $44,025 your residual for 24 month is $31,698 and for 36 month is $27,736. that makes your monthly depreciation payment either:
24 month: (41656-31698)/24 = $415
36 month: (41656-27736)/36 = $387
your monthly interest is:
24 month: (41656+31698)*0.00134 = $98
36 month: (41656+27736)*0.00121 = $84
so your base monthly payment is:
24 month = 415+98 = $513
36 month = 387+84 = $471
your payment with sales tax is:
24 month = 513*1.0625 = $545
36 month = 471*1.0625 = $500 (sales tax warning: i assumed MA is like CA in that you tax both the depreciation and the interest but i think other states like NJ you only apply tax to depreciation and NOT interest - so you have some homework there)
all this assumes you will pay title/registration and 1st months payment at signing but there shouldn't be anything else left IF you negotiate to have all dealer/doc fees (so not acquisition which is between you and infiniti finance, not the dealer) baked into your price. you can of course re-calc the whole thing paying the acq fee upfront and then take $595 out of the adj. cap cost - so you'll owe 595 more upfront and you're monthly pmt will go down. you could add the registration fee into the adj. cap cost so you're monthly payment will go up but you'll only one 1st months out the door - all up to you but now you have all the math to do it on your own and make sure the dealer is being straight.
again it's really only the sales price (+dealer fees) that should be the negotiation in my opinion (the 41061 # in my calcs) - fight to get that as low as possible with multiple quotes - the rest is making sure the lease term #'s are all unaltered (because the dealer can negotiate everything from acq. to MF to residual but i tell them "just give me a price you're ok with assuming standard top tier credit IFS terms for the lease" and it saves me a ton of time)
i haven't ever done the MSD thing - but i guess it makes sense and unlike a cap cost reduction, i believe you get the MSD $ back if the car is totaled or lost, but confirm that with someone else. i think it's 0.0001 off the MF per ($500??) deposit - so again you can do the math yourself and see what works for you.
Hope that math helps empower you!
MSRP: 43,920 (2011 G37x awd premium package coupe)
Invoice (so they said): 40,397
Selling price: 39,722
MF: .00034 (was .00124 before my 9 MSDs)
Residual: 72% (31,622.40)
Fees:
acq: 595
doc: 289
registration: 121.50 (41.50 reg, 75 title, 5 title prep)
Thanks.
Thoughts on this deal anyone?
Thanks for the kind words, I drive a BMW 2001 740il white w, sand interior has 90k miles on it and runs and looks brand new. This is one of my true joys I keep this car excellent.
But I drove the G37x again yesterday, I am very impressed with the acceleration and braking much better than th bmw 328xi.
This G likes to be driven!

Knee jerk reaction: $410/month with only first month due at signing for a $44k car sounds like a really great deal, esp considering a 24 month lease. Let us know all the final details when you sign.
thanks!
36 months
Cap cost 40,172
Residual is 26,908.80
15k miles per year
Money factor is .00155
monthly payment is 489.87 plus tax
If I get Tier 0, it will be 479 plus tax(currently 9.8%)
Is it better to negotiate price at this point, or with the down payment/payment plan?
Thanks to all for your help.

The numbers for an otherwise identical 39 month lease are .00117 and 60%.
If you were to lease this car with only 12,000 miles per year, its residual values would be 2% higher.

Could you please let me know what the March buy rates are for a G37 Coupe IPL for 36 and 39 month lease 15k miles/yr. Thank you in advance.
Infiniti Financial Services' March buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 G37 Coupe IPL with 15,000 miles per year are .00121 and 59%, respectively.
The numbers for an otherwise identical 39 month lease are .00128 and 58%, respectively.

$38209 sale price
-$1000 loyalty
+$595 bank fee
+45 doc
-$107.33 "down" - they snaked this in here somehow between when i agreed to terms with the dealer and i sat down with the finance guy - no idea why they did it - i expressed my annoyance but i thought it was a good price even with an extra $107 on it, so i let it slide
$37,741.67 adjusted cap cost
36 mo, 10k/yr residual = 62%, MF = 0.00084 (they tried to set the MF at 0.00115 at first so this forum saved me $20/mo for the next 3 years!)
$25773.40 residual
Depreciation = (37741.67-25773.4)/36 = 332.45
Interest = (37741.67+25773.4)*0.00084 = 53.35
Base = 385.80
With CA tax = 421.49
OTD cost = first month ($421.49), registration ($531), mystery $107.33 extra cap cost reduction, sales tax on $1000 loyalty and the mystery cap cost reduction ($102.43), $37.75 (tire/misc dmv fees) = $1200
so i'd say overall counting that 107.33 extra cap the real selling price was $38316 with only first month/reg/dmv fees/tax on loyalty OTD
$38316 is $207 over his stated invoice or $358 under the current edmunds listed invoice - again i assume that might be the new price adjustment i heard about...
overall ok experience (had a more straightforward one 2 weeks ago when i leased my wife's RX350) - MF issue was a little snag i had to work through (would've been $720 over the life of the lease) so i can't thank the forum, esp. our hosts, enough..!
see everyone in about 36 months!
MSRP - $42,200
39 months
12,000 miles per year
62% residual
MF 0.00117
$691 at signing, which includes first month's
Here's where the numbers get a little weird - $38,700 sale price, which supposedly includes my $1,000 loyalty money (turning in a G37 on lease termination); but $39,250 cap cost?? Did they roll additional fees into the cap cost?
Comes to $449/mo. including 9% PA tax.
Dealer was flipping out and acting like this is the best deal they've seen recently. Am I getting played?
Do you have the details for a 24 month, 10k mile lease on the G37x AWD coupe?
Thanks!

Congrat...
In flux because cars made in different dates and hence different MSRP and invoice are in dealer's lot right now... It is not uncommon for dealer to have a car builded 3 to 4 months ago that has lower price than one that was build last months with exactly the same equipments...
Thanks a mil for your thoughts.

I guess most folks just focus on monthly payment and don't pay any attention to drive off. So if salesperson change the monthly payment, it become a very big deal to explain to the customer... I think the point is that they did not slip any last minute charge into your lease.. Congrat...
Congrats on your deal and thanks for all your help.
I didn't go through with the g37x deal in the end--I changed my mind and am looking at bmws now... better before I sign than after!
MSRP: 39,101
Agreed sells price = invoice price of about $35,500
MF used was .00094
Residual was 60%
Money put down at signing to cover fees, 1st month payment and reduce cap cost = $4,200.
To call on your expertise, I wanted to get your thoughts on the following:
I don't drive that much so I'm going with 10,000 miles.
2011 G37x Sports Appearance Package
Gross Cap Cost- 40618.07
Cap Cost Reduction- 2727.22
-Adjust Cap Cost- $37890.85
-Residual Value- $26475.75 (appears to be about 65%)
Not sure what the money factor is
39 month lease
Monthly payment $409
No money down
Thanks
