Customer incentive works like a down payment; dealer incentive is built into the negotiated price.

Not sure about registration, but you should be able to execute the transaction in Florida and qualify for the extra incentives there.

One thing to keep in mind, however, is that NY caps the doc fee at $75, whereas in FL I've seen them as high as $999.

And if you live in NY, factor in shipping costs from FL to NY.

Those items alone could eat up any savings.

Thanks. Why can’t I get it from a dealer here in NY (and pay the capped NY doc fee) but get the FL pricing/taxes/incentives? Wouldn’t it be the same as when a NJ resident gets a car in NY but pays NJ pricing?

In other words, I thought the pricing/incentives are based on where the buyer’s zip code is. We’re in NY now but registering in FL. Can’t a NY dealer provide pricing based on FL zip? Shipping from FL seems pointless

Can't cherry pick the best of the incentives, and fees for each location.

So far as we can tell, the incentives are with the dealer location, not the buyer location.
