My car is on its way to me from the port. Can I please have the MF and Residual for a 2018 Premium Plus S5 Coupe for December? 36 months, 12K Miles. Maryland.

Just for comparison sake, can I have the Prestige trim with the same criteria as above as well, please?

My '18 S5 Prestige Coupe is on the water and due to arrive on 12/17, can you please provide the current MF and residual for a 36/7500 lease...I'm in the SF Bay Area.

I am thinking of adding AudiCare to help with the residual, good idea?

Thanks in advance for your time!

Thanks for that current information, I don't think I qualify for either of the cash rebates, I turned my '15 Jaguar F-Type coupe back in (wasn't on the list) and it's my first Audi.

Using the base money factor, I get $655/mo.+tax.
    That's $700/mo.

Looks like they may be bumping the money factor for extra profit. (probably by .00040)

Other than the money factor bump, it's a reasonable deal.
    Florida dealer fees are nuts.

    39/10: .00157 MF and 59% residual
    42/10: .00157 MF and 57% residual
    36/10: .00137 MF and 61% residual

I'd think 36 or 42 months would be better than 39.

I agree with everything in your spreadsheet ... until we get to the taxes.

What state is this? States handle lease taxes differently. My spreadsheet shows $1828.53 of total tax; not sure why your taxes are ~$240 higher.

I live in NJ. They do taxes a little weird here. The state taxes the depreciation $21,651.60 at 6.875% ($1,488.55) then they have a luxury tax which is 0.0040% of MSRP ($257.76), then they tax the 2500 rebates at 6.875% ($171.88) , then they tax down payment $2000 at 6.875% (137.50), then finally they charge a tire tax of $7.50. All that mess equals the $2063.19. I've confirmed this is how it how it is done with 3 separate manufactures (Lexus, Infiniti, Audi) and several dealers. Sorry for the double post if it shows that way. Computer is acting funny for me.

I'm paying most of the taxes up front, hence the $2000 down. I know you guys suggest rolling the taxes into the total monthly amount, correct?

Yes, roll all your taxes into the payment. You think that if the car is stolen or totaled, the state will refund you the pre-paid taxes that you didn't use?

    Total Tax with Rebates $2,063.19
    Tax Amount per month $57.31
    Total Payment $796.11

Are you paying the taxes up front, or adding them into the lease payment.

LOL....of course they will, don't you know who I am? Just kidding....excellent point and appreciate all your help.

Thanks to everyone's advice on this forum. Instead of giving Audi money for taxes, I rolled everything into my payment and instead paid 2 additional payments on my Lexus. I actually saved some money this way. I got the following deal:

MSRP $64,440.00 Sticker Price of the Vehicle
Negotiated Price $58,950.00 Negotiated Amount of Vehicle before Incentives
Base Cap Cost $56,450.00 Negotiated Amount of Vehicle after incentive
Down Payment $0.00 Amount Paid at Lease Inception
    Amount owed on trade $2,500.00
Additions $1,787.50 Acquisition Fee, Dealer Doc, DMV, Tire
Net Cap Cost $60,737.50 Net capitalized cost of vehicle (add taxes+fees, subtract cap cost reduction)
Residual 61% Percentage of the MSRP that the vehicle is worth at the end of the lease
Money Factor 0.00137 Used to calculate interest paid ("rent charge") during the lease term
    Interest rate 3.29% Money Factor x 2400
Lease Term 36 length of lease, in months
    Residual Amount $39,308.40 MSRP x residual %
Depreciation $21,429.10 Total depreciation (Cap Cost-Residual Value)
Dep Payment $595.25 Amount of payment for depreciation (cap cost-residual value)/term
Rent Charge $137.06 Amount of payment for rent charge (cap cost + residual value)* money factor
Pre-Tax Payment $732.32 Sum of depreciation and rent charge
Sales Tax 6.875% Local sales tax rate
Total Tax with Rebates $1,910.39 Estimate
Tax Amount per month $53.07 Monthly payment * tax rate
Total Payment $785.38 Monthly payment + tax amount

Thank you but I was indeed wondering for the 20,000 miles a year! I got a quote from a dealership and I'm trying to work out how good of a deal it is.

If you could also look up the rates for a 36 month/20 thousand mile per year for an s5 coupe prestige in Michigan, that would be really great as well.

I'm glad you came back... I gave you the wrong numbers. Gave you the 36/10 residuals above.
15K/yr is the highest mileage allowance that we have numbers for.
    24/15: .00137 MF and 63% residual
    36/15: .00137 MF and 56% residual

You'll have to check with a dealer for how they handle the extra 5000 mi/yr. It will be a residual reduction, but I'm not sure of the rate.

I have a 16 A6, 36/15K lease with AFS in NY (11716), with the turn in date as September 25 2017.

Looking to get into an A5 or S5 sportback 24/15K or 36/15K lease. Questions are:

MF, residual, incentives, and fair monthly payment with nothing down upfront

    and

if early turn in is a good idea

    thanks

Assuming your turn in date is really 9/25/18, you have too many payments left to get out of your lease without major penalties.

Best to wait until your current lease is up before shopping for the next deal.

I am mid negotiation on an S5 Cab P+. They are offering the following:
    MSRP: $71,975
    Savings: $6,250
    Selling Price: $65,725
    Rebate: $1,000
    Adj. Sales Price: $64,725

    Customer Cash: $2,000
    Term: 36 Months
    Miles: 10,000
    Payment: $883.81

It seems I am not eligible for the additional $1500 Loyalty/conquest as my Lexus is too old. Im wondering if there is ever any flexiblilty on these requirements from Audi Finance. My calculations based on the information you provided me previously puts my payment at about $100 less than this so there is a discrepancy. Is the .00171 money factor and 60% residual still in effect? These figures were at 12K. What residual are you showing for 10K?
    Any input would be appreciated.

I got an offer for a $67,750 msrp, S5 SB Prestige, 36/12, $0 down, with taxes included for $790 a month. I don’t have the breakdown, but does it seem like a good offer? Thanks!

    .00171 MF and 61% residual for 36/10.
    $1000 bonus cash
    $1500 loyalty/conquest.

The rebate doesn't cost the dealer anything. You either qualify, or you don't.

Your upfront money probably isn't enough to cover the first payment, acquisition fee and DMV fees. So, the adjusted CAP cost will probably be higher than the $64,725.

    At $64,725, I get $764/mo.+tax... or about $823/mo
Your quote is about $2000 higher. You have tax on the rebates plus any overage from the fees listed above, and possibly a money factor bump to account for.
Ask for the adjusted CAP and the money factor.

The dealer is saying the Residual is 59% and claims that comes right off of the Audi finance sheet. Obviously that make a difference in the payment.
