I was wondering if you could provide the MF/RV for a 2018 M4 Convertible 36/10k. What percentage should I be looking for off MSRP? can one still expect to get 7% off M series cars before incentives? Also, can fleet + new grad cap reductions be stacked?

Always target 7% off MSRP before incentives for BMW. You may not get it, but it's a good place to start

Yes, those incentives should stack.
Thanks! Will I be able to get .00131 with fleet?
I believe the MF discount for fleet has been discontinued.
What's the current MF/RV for 10k/36month lease of 2018 M4? My dealer told me it's 0.00180 and 58%. Would they improve according to previous years' history?

This post is two-fold with respect to an 2018 M4 Convertible (manual) (in the NY metro area)--looking to lease in Dec. 2017-- (i) What is the MF and RV for 10K miles for 36 months?
(ii) Based on a previous post (see Michaell Colorado, Aug 18), which states, "target 7% off MSRP before incentives for BMW. You may not get it, but it's a good place to start" --> If the MSRP is approx. $79K--starting at 7% off MSRP brings cap cost down to $73,470 -->If we add $2K BMW Financial Services incentive and $750 customer loyalty incentive being offered--the cap cost is reduced to $70,720 Q: is an initial cap cost of $70,720 a reasonable price to start the negotiation?

Hi I'm looking to lease a 2018 m4 coupe and I got the below numbers from a local dealer and wanted to see if it was a decent deal.
vehicle price: $80,285.00 preferred discount: $3000 rebate: $4500 selling price after rebate: $72785.00 tax: $4720.91 fees $357.25 out the door price: $77863.16
lease rates w $0 down 36mo/10k: $1220.90 36mo/12k: $1242.33
i'm not sure if i did the math correctly but when I calculate for the mf i get 0.00246 which seems extremely high. he did say that the rebate is $3500 for lease instead of $4500 so i'm assuming the monthly rates are adjusted with an additional $1000.
when i asked how flexible these numbers are and he said this is the deal. what would be the best thing to do next? should i take these numbers and go to a different bmw dealer?
sorry for all the questions, i'm a bit of a first timer. Thanks for your help!

i'm in Texas. so if I can get them to drop the msrp to 6% before rebate I should take the deal? I know i've been reading it's hard to get a break in both msrp and mf.

We really have no visibility on what might happen in the future.
Would appreciate any insight into the following offer I’ve negotiated on a new 2018 M4 coupe with Competition and Executive packages included.
MSRP: $82,535 Discount before rebate: $6,535 Rebate: $2,000 Net Cap (with doc prep fee and tax rolled in): $77,749.28
Down payment: $2,238.54 (includes first month’s payment, license/title and acquisition fee).
Money factor: .00152 Residual: 57% 36mos/10k miles per year
Monthly Payment (inclusive of tax): $1,063.54
Seems like a good deal to me since the discount is greater than the 7% target usually suggested for BMWs around here. Thanks in advance!
I get $1043/mo with those numbers - that's about $700 or so difference. Dealer doc fee, perhaps?
That’s right. It’s $1042.57 before the monthly tax for my state (Delaware) and works out to $20.97 additional per month for that tax, which gives you $1063.54.

I think there are two applicable taxes here in DE. There’s a tax rolled into the cap cost (listed as “tax on collected items”) which is $3310.28 and a tax on a monthly basis of $20.97. Does that help?

(i) What is the MF and RV for 10K miles for 36 months?
(ii) Based on a previous post (see Michaell Colorado, Aug 18), which states, "target 7% off MSRP before incentives for BMW. You may not get it, but it's a good place to start"
--> If the MSRP is approx. $79K--starting at 7% off MSRP brings cap cost down to $73,470
-->If we add $2K BMW Financial Services incentive and $750 customer loyalty incentive being offered--the cap cost is reduced to $70,720
Q: is an initial cap cost of $70,720 a reasonable price to start the negotiation?
2. I agree with your pricing logic - you might want to start a bit lower, to give yourself room to work up to your target

36mo/10k: $1220.90
36mo/12k: $1242.33
i'm not sure if i did the math correctly but when I calculate for the mf i get 0.00246 which seems extremely high.
he did say that the rebate is $3500 for lease instead of $4500 so i'm assuming the monthly rates are adjusted with an additional $1000.
when i asked how flexible these numbers are and he said this is the deal.
what would be the best thing to do next? should i take these numbers and go to a different bmw dealer?
sorry for all the questions, i'm a bit of a first timer.
Thanks for your help!
I only see $2000 lease credit and $750 loyalty incentive
You want to target 6% off sticker, before incentives. Ask for another $2K off the sticker price.
What state it this? Tax amount looks really high.

so if I can get them to drop the msrp to 6% before rebate I should take the deal?
I know i've been reading it's hard to get a break in both msrp and mf.
and if you don't mind me asking, how did you come up w $2000 lease credit and $750 loyalty credit?
he told me $3000 was because the company i work with gets a discount
thanks again for your help!

MSRP: $82,535
Discount before rebate: $6,535
Rebate: $2,000
Net Cap (with doc prep fee and tax rolled in): $77,749.28
Down payment: $2,238.54 (includes first month’s payment, license/title and acquisition fee).
Money factor: .00152
Residual: 57%
36mos/10k miles per year

Seems like a good deal to me since the discount is greater than the 7% target usually suggested for BMWs around here. Thanks in advance!

Yeah, but you said the net cap had the doc fee and tax rolled in.
Is tax on the monthly payment or the sum of the payments in DE?

If that's the case, then the numbers match.

Thanks! Does that seem like a good deal or should I try to push it further?
It seems reasonable.. you can always ask for more, though.
