Looking at x1 zip 11783 with xdrive loaner lease dealer said 342 a month 36/12 msrp 41845 sales price 33500 got him to go 18% off msrp numbers seem off. Is this a good offer ? What should be the price monthly?

What is the amount due at signing?
What is the current mileage on the loaner?

I don't think there is any conquest... He is just adjusting the price.

.00166 MF and 58% residual (reduced by $1000 to account for current mileage)
    $1000 lease credit.
I'm guessing the sale price is inclusive of the lease incentive.

Without knowing the adjusted CAP cost, I'm estimating, but the payment looks about right.
With just first payment upfront, it would be about $100/mo. higher.

    It's a decent deal..

I was given an offer - "I have you on a stock number ABC123. It is a black X1 awd that list at $41000. Our Costco special at $31,900 is a fwd. To earn you business, I would sell you the awd drive for the fwd price. $31,900 would be a $9,140 discount. That as good as it gets anywhere in the country. Let's make a deal." - This was in reply to my straight forward offer on their website for $30,400.

Was planning on going to the dealership but called to asked to see the lease worksheet so there are no surprises - he stated he couldn't apply it to a lease, as the rebates are different between financing and leasing. I declined but not without seeing what the lease would work out to be. The MF was correct at .00661 BUT the residual was at 56%....which is 2% lower. I don't believe the residual changes during the month correct? Including the Acq $925, title and reg, there was a "dealership fee" of $500. But I didn't point any of the incorrect numbers out as he couldn't lease it to us at 31,9. The number shot up to $35,524 after a downpayment of $2k. which may or may not have been his rebate. I asked him on 2 days (via email) about the money factor - but no questions about lease, meant no concerns. I wasn't trying to pull anything.

I'm rather discouraged because to me the sale price is the sale price. While I understand the dealership's perspective about rebates available, the Sales Manager wasn't transparent about this at all. If the lease sale price was 31,900 I would've signed instantly. Anyways, see attachment.

Prices advertised on-line are almost exclusively for purchase. You have to be up front about your intention to lease, so the dealer gives you the pricing with the applicable incentives.

Dealer cannot alter the residual value, so confirm the term and mileage you want.

You want to target 7% off MSRP, then subtract the incentives.

    @thehank
$2500 more incentives on purchase/finance than on a lease.
    No way around that.

When you look at the price they provided on the lease, after the rebate, it was $34,400. That's exactly $2500 more than the purchase quote. So, from that standpoint, they gave you the same deal, which was $36,400 minus incentives. The full difference is the difference in incentives on lease vs. buy.

The dealer's fee is only $199, which is added to the CAP cost, along with the $925 acquisition fee.
The $505.38 due from you at signing is for the first payment, plus $45 registration fee. No $500 fees from the dealer.

As far as the residual, they've used 58%.
56% is the base residual for 36/15. Just below that, you'll see the adjusted residual for 12K/yr, which is indeed 58%.

I'm not saying how good the deal is... but, the information is pretty straightforward. I don't see any extras in the deal, other than the $199 dealer fee.

Hello, I am looking at a 2018 X1 SAV FWD demo with 3900 miles in Texas (75056) currently discounted 12%.

Assistance with the current MF/RV and if 15% discount is realistic would be greatly appreciated!

Also, I'm new to BMW. Can incentives be applied to demos? Trying to determine what incentive might apply...

    $500 cash back - manufacturer
    $3000 dealer allowance - manufacturer
    $1000 - recent grad (I am a recent grad)

I also have USAA and Costco. I think Costco has a $500 incentive now..

Residual is reduced by $0.25/mile for existing mileage ($925)

15% is what I would shoot for..
    $500 lease credit
    $1000 college grad
$3000 (not compatible with the BMWFS lease program)

Texas taxes the full selling price of the vehicle, even on a lease.

Hello, could I please get the August MF, Residual, and incentives for a 2018 X1 sDrive28i? 36/10K and 12K for Georgia? That would be without the convenience tier. The MSRP would be $33,900.

    Thank you immensely.

Thank you. The dealer quoted me those same numbers you provided on the basic X1 FWD. At 35,090 MSRP and Adjusted Price 30,282 with 975.79 in tax, 689 doc fee, and 90.00 misc fees = 32,040 Net Price: At 36/12 with 0 down payment and 457/mo and 36/10 with 0 down payment at 447/month be excellent, good, or just fair deals for this car?

    Thank you, Sir.

    To make it clearer:

    36/12K = 457/month
    36/10K = 447/month

No down payment for either. Both deals include all fees and taxes.

    How good are these deals?

    Thank you.

Thank you. I happen to get 409.70 for the 36/12K. My other question is this: do you know the MF/Residual for a courtesy vehicle/demonstrator version of this same car? A salesman tells me it is a different calculation. Does that get affected by amount of mileage? This one has around 250 miles.

MF is the same, but the residual is reduced by .25/mile from the standard calculation.

    Hello,

Can I please get MF & Residual in California for 36/10 sDrive and xDrive?

Also, for a quick sanity check, which fees should be rolled into the monthly payment vs paid upfront?

    $1000 lease credit

In CA, only make the first payment and pay the DMV costs at signing; roll all other fees into the lease payment.

    Hi,

I was given this quote by a dealership for a 2018 X 1 M-Sport. It will be registered in DC, which I believe adds a 10% tax on the monthly payment:

    MSRP - $49,060
    Discount - $4,000
    Sales Price - 45,060
    BMW Lease Rebate - $1,500
    BMW Acquisition Fee - $925
    Processing Fee - $699
DC Tag and Title - $263
    Money Factor - .00166
    Residual - 58% ($28,455)

    $728.18 of cap cost reduction (1,500 rebate + 914.51 cash collected - 651.51 payment - 699-proc fee - 263 tg/title) is Taxed by DC - $72.82.

state of VA Dealer Business License Tax - $91.52

Cap Cost = 45,348 once these are added into the price.

Monthly: $651.51 after tax, $592.28 before tax, first month + tags and title due at signing. My calculations have this at $650.94 after tax, so slightly off.

Does this seem like a fair deal? I feel like the processing fee is pretty high and the payment seems pretty high compared to a couple of other comparable cap costs I've seen on here in my opinion. any help is appreciated!

    Thank you!

Don't focus on the processing fee. They aren't going to change it. Adjust the price for it. In essence, your discount is $3300, not $4000.

Once you take that into account, it's just an average deal. About what you would expect, given the lease program you have to work with.

    Here's what I'm looking at. MSRP $42395:

    Money factor .00166
    Sale price $38620
    Residual for 10k miles .59
$2000 taxable lease credit is in place here
I have taken $3775 off MSRP

$2000 down, $479 per month. Thoughts?

I think you can do better on the price. If I back out the lease credit, you are only getting about 4% off sticker. We suggest you target 7%, before incentives.

There is a $1000 loyalty incentive on the 2018 X1, so that should be stacked on any negotiated sales price.

I brought up the costco thing and she said this: "BMW is partnered with them but I cannot use the $2000 loyalty credit if I use the Costco $1500 discount.". So I'm getting a $2000 loyalty credit apparently - what's the additional $1000?

I don't know anything about the Costco incentive, or whether it is compatible with the loyalty.

Just a question though - is the deal reasonable or not based on what you see here every week? I'm just trying to ensure I don't get ripped off.

    Hi,

Thanks for the help last time--taking one more run at this (different car I'm negotiating with a few more features):

    MSRP 50,760
    Net cap cost 46,600
    MF: .001660

Licence fee plus first month up front.

    Decent deal?

With 200+ threads to maintain, I don't track individual deals.

7% off MSRP, plus incentives, is the target for BMW.

    Watch for junk fees.

The math is the math, beyond that.

    $648.43

Net cap cost includes all incentives, acquisition fee, applicable taxes, application fee.

The offer just got restructured per the dealership's request:

    MSRP: $50,760
Net cap cost-- $45,569.33 (includes all incentives, taxes, etc.)
    MF: .00206

20001 zip, tags + first month down, payment is $648 flat after taxes.

    36 month/10k miles

The dealer preferred going lower cap cost and higher interest rate, so adjusted it but kept the same monthly.

Thanks again for the help, let me know if this seems like a decent deal.

It's all about who gets the commission - the salesman or the guy in the F&I office.

On a side note, that looks like the most expensive X1 that can be built. Are there any missing options? :sunglasses:

Ha! Only blind spot detectors. Which BMW hasn't quite seemed to figure out yet for the X1.

With that residual, your MSRP has to be $38,940.
You can't add dealer accessories or extras to the MSRP

I get $419/mo.+tax with that adjusted CAP
How much is due at signing? Where is the CAP cost reduction coming from?

Your are right. The MSRP is 38,940 without the dealer accessories. And as I noted above, the deal is in fact $419/mo + 29.37 tax. $500 was due at signing, which went to paying the first month due on the lease. Not sure why it was $500 rather than $449, but that was how they did it. So "Amount Due at Lease Signing or Delivery Will Be Paid" read:

    Rebates an non-cash credits: 2000
Amount to be Paid in cash: 500
    Total: 2500

    Capitalized Cost Reduction: 2051

I got the Costco $500, corporate discount of $500 (my company was on their list), and not sure where the other 1,000 came from. Maybe BMW lease cash?

Anyway, a previous dealer offered a base model MSRP $35,090 at $419/mo + tax, as well, first month payment due at signing. The car I actually signed on, described here, had MSRP $38,940 (almost 4K more), yet same monthly charge with first month due at signing. So I figured I got a good deal.

What are your thoughts about the deal? Thanks.

Hello! Can you tell me the MF, residual and incentives on a 2018 BMW X1 xDrive28i SAV for 36/10 for zip code 75204?

I'm currently looking at one with MSRP of $47,840. It is a loaner with 4338 miles on it. We negotiated the price to $42,760.47 so far. Then we qualify for a $2000 rebate (based off of BMW loyalty, lease offers, I don't know)...

I was told the residual was 59% and MF was 0.00186. The monthly payment comes out to $600 even.

Is this a good deal so far? Or should I be negotiating more in a certain area? The MF seems higher than what I've seen on this forum (0.00166) but I'm not sure when to stop negotiating because it's a good deal.
