Sorry I don't have all the figures yet but here is what I am looking at. Also, I know you don't like to put much up front to lower monthly payments but again, here's what I have:
    2018 BMW X1 xDr28i
    $46,650 - MSRP:
    $995. - Destination and Handling

    Payment of $512.24 per month
    36 months 12k miles
    $3000 due at signing
Price also reflects the $1500 BMW rebate and a $500 Corporate Rebate.
    Taxes are about $1660 (8%)
I will get more of a breakdown for you but just wanted initial thoughts if possible.

    .00166 MF and 58% residual
    $1500 lease credit

    Which state?
    Is $46,650 MSRP including the $995 D&H?

State of Ohio and no the $46,650 MSRP is WITHOUT the $995 D&H, so Total MSRP is actually $47.645.
    Thank you.

    Thank you.

With the base money factor, adjusted CAP cost would be approx $41,920 to get that payment

    $3000 Due at Signing:
    $512 1st payment
    $925 acq.fee
    $1660 tax
    $250 doc fee
    $50 DMV
That leaves about $400 short, to add to CAP cost.

    So..
    $41,920 adjusted CAP
    -400 added
    +$2000 rebates
    = $43520 selling price.

That's a $4125 discount from MSRP, or about 8.7% off.

    That's pretty good.

Great! I had a dealer 10 minutes from my house quote me a totally outrageous figure and when he refused to deal I checked with a dealer about 45 minutes away and Bingo! So it definitely pays to shop around and I thank you for all the info you provide on this forum because using the RV and MF figures I set-up a spreadsheet to "run the numbers" so I had a pretty good idea going in where I should be. :-)

    Hi All,

I received the following offer from a dealer in Southern California. Price seems very high, though I'm not exactly sure what kind of offer I should be expecting. I look forward to any insights you could share.

    2018 BMW X1 SERIES 18X* 4dr Wgn xDrive 28i

    Vehicle Price: $43,410.00
    Savings: $2,910.00
    "Price": 40,500.00
    Cap Cost $41,345
    Sales Tax (estimate) $3,906.11
    Smog Abatement Fee: $20.00
    Tag/Registration Fee: $497.00
    Electronic Filing: $29
    Flat Add/County Fee: $11
    Documentation Fee: $80
    Balance Due (estimate): $45,043.11

    Term: 36mo / 10,000 miles
    Cash Due: $1400 down, $537/mo

Residual Value 59% for 10k miles per year
    Money Factory is 0.00166

Thanks for all of your help in advance.

The tax number is irrelevant for a lease, as CA taxes the monthly payment. The only upfront tax is on rebates or other CAP cost reductions.

What raises the "Price" to the CAP cost of $41,345? How is the extra $845 explained?

There is a $1500 lease credit on this vehicle.
    Also, a $925 acquisition fee.

Ask them for a price that is lease specific, instead of figures thrown in there that aren't applicable (like the tax), and others that are missing (rebate and acquisition fee)

The money factor and residual are correct, and I'll estimate that the monthly payment is, as well, once you have all of the numbers.

Dealer has X1 Estoril Blue w/ M package for $46.5K. They are taking $6K off the price. I'm coming off a 3-series lease, not sure if they are willing to stack the $1K loyalty.
Is $40.5K a good price for this configuration?
What MF and RV should I expect on 36/10 lease zip 95834? I can also do MSD which I also have on my current lease. Thanks much!

I would find out if the discount already includes any available incentives, or not. If not, then that is a decent discount.

    Incentives: $2,500
    Acquisition Fee: $925
    Doc Fee: $80

    Adj cap cost: $35,963.41

Total Cash on Delivery $1,000 (first month ($459) + registration ($507) + cap cost reduction ($44))

Local dealer seems to have $6K off MSRP on X1, but not sure whether you can stack the 1500 + 1000 incentives or one of them or still push them lower. Haven't tried yet, trying to decide on my next car first. Unfortunately RV and MF are worse than 3 years ago so I will probably end up paying more for a lesser car :(
Check if you can do MSDs, you can lower that MF.

Is that really true? I asked my dealer and he said yes if you already have them on the current lease you can continue using them and it's also possible on a case by case basis to do it even on new leases (not exactly sure what that means). There seems to be a lot of mixed info out there. Luckily for me I already have them on my current lease so shouldn't be a problem if I decide on another BMW.

That's not how I meant it, sorry if I offended you in any way, it was not my intention. It's just that I've seen conflicting info, some say it's still doable even on new leases you just have to push for it to get "approval", others that it is not.

Can I get the mf, rv and rebates for a 2018 sdrive loaner leased for 24/10K, 36/10K and 39/10K. I think I have a decent offer but hard to say. After I left they called me with an offer of $299/mo with $3500 down.

    Thanks in advance.

    What state is this?

How many miles are on the vehicle?

You'll notice that the numbers at the top are for a purchase option, and don't relate to the lease payments below.

And, I'd avoid putting $3500 up front on a rental. First payment and registration costs only.

I knew I'd forget something, this is in Texas, 77381. 4,240 miles on it. I looked at what it would cost to purchase this X1 and with the latest offer of $299/Mo + $3500 down, it would also be nearly the same as $400/mo with zero drive off. I can get a loan on this X1 for at 2.44% APR for a 72 mo term for around $440 a month. Texas tax is 6.25% depending on  include in there discount I could a a little more off the sales price off I purchase, due to some finance rebates

Since you are in TX, all those numbers are valid.
    .00166 MF
56.2% residual (once you account for current mileage_

Using the "Balance Due" as the adjusted CAP, I get $361/mo. for 36 months. That's assuming the rebate covers the $925 acquisition fee.
With just 1st payment due at signing.

Appears they are marking up the money factor by the maximum amount.

If you can get them to use the base MF, a payment in that $360-$375/mo. range with just 1st payment at signing would be a very good deal.

I appreciate your comparison to 72 month financing, but I think the lease deal is better. Once your maintenance, and then warranty run out, those last three years are pricy.

If dealer ask for current mileage of my BMW and vin number why is that? I feel like more information I give them I get less deal. Any insight?

Could this be for pull ahead eligibility?

Your current vehicle should not impact the deal you make on the new one.

    Hi,

I’m new to car leasing and trying research enough and do my best to get a good deal and not taken advantage of.

Is it possible to get a rough guess to what would be a good deal to shoot for for leasing a 2018 X1 sDrive28i?
I’m still trying to determine which packages or features I would need but I am probably fine with the base model and would only be interested in something like a safety features package or audio related like the speakers or Apple CarPlay.

im located in San Diego, but can also go to Temecula/Murrieta or other parts of Southern California if that’s going to get me a better deal.

Thank you for your help and time.

This leasing virgin appreciates any help I can get. :)

I got $40695 car and they gave me $4160 off which became $36535 then they added miles and damage for $790 then payments for 2 months for $$870 which became $38105

payment they gave me is $503/month after $2500 rebate. It is for 36month 12000 miles

sounds terrible to me but I don’t know anything so please let me know. I pass cosmetic inspection and my mile is over 1200 miles so far.

Sorry not $593 it is $503 a month I fixed it.

Not an expert, but there's the "1% of MSRP" rule of thumb to give you an approximate idea if the deal is good. Lease with $0 down should be 1% or less of the MSRP. Again, this is just some guideline, some cars lease better than that, others worse.

If you are trading it in, they need that information to evaluate your trade, and check for service issues/carfax, etc..

So, what's the payment and amount due at signing?

That money factor is marked up from the .00166 base.

So here's my update. Questioned them about the money factor and they immediately gave me .00166. I qualified for another $1000 rebate for recent college grad(graduated 2 years ago 05/14/16 just made it!) So my payments came out to $351/mo with 1st months only due at signing.

Thank you so much for the advice!

Did they give you the adjusted CAP cost?

    It does seem high.

I ask them for breakdown and they don’t wanna give it to me seems like haha. What r the exact things I should ask for correct payment calculation? Will adjusted cap cost will do as long as I know MSRP and selling price? Sorry I don’t know how to reply.

Ask them for the adjusted CAP cost and the money factor used.

This is what I got so far from other dealer. I sort of left the one who did not want to give me break down.
I currently have BMW that has 2 months left to return, and it is 1800 miles over right now. I will probably have to pay for those.
Should I go little further? So far I did as for break down and going to let them know I do not want to put any down payment.

    Always appreciate your time.

    Thank you so much.
