I think I need to see the left hand part of the document that you cut off.

    What state and tax rate?

Thanks for your response. This is how they sent it to me in the email. California, I’m not sure the tax. Is it where the dealership is or zip of where car gets registered?
    thanks for your help!

This is what I got so far from other dealer. I sort of left the one who did not want to give me break down. I currently have BMW that has 2 months left to return, and it is 1800 miles over right now. I will probably have to pay for those. Should I go little further? So far I did as for break down and going to let them know I do not want to put any down payment. Always appreciate your time. Thank you so much. Is there a way for the users to query a database? It would save the mods so much time.

    PURCHASE OPTION

    Vehicle Price: $43,460.00
    AutoNation Savings: - $4,984.00
    AutoNation Price: $38,476.00
    Window Tint (Optional): + $399.00
    Vehicle Selling Price: $38,875.00

    Sales Tax (estimate): + $3,252.48
    Smog Fee: + $42.50
    Title Fee: + $29.25
    Documentation Fee: + $549.00
    Balance Due (estimate): $42,748.23
    No Trade-In

    LEASE OPTIONS

    Cash Due 36 months
    Rebates: $2,500
    12,000 Miles
    $2,000 $455
    $3,000 $425
    $4,000 $395

    What state?

Oh it is nevada sorry about that. I am sure you r tired about people missing info haha.

The amounts at the top, while useful, are for a purchase, not a lease.

If we add $925 acq.fee and $549 dealer fee to the price..
    Subtract the $2500 rebate
    .00166 MF and 58% residual
    Adjusted CAP cost of $37849
    Payment is $455/mo.+tax
    Due at signing =
    1st payment
    +$72 fees
    +$200 tax on rebate

This is pretty close to their quote of $455/mo. tax included with $2000 due at signing.

Hi! Would someone please be able to help with this?
    x1 awd lease 12k/36 months
2100 down (first month plus acquisition tag processing fees)
    taxes rolled into monthly payments
    Msrp 43245
    Negotiated price 37650

    monthly lease payment 548

i feel like the payments are high based on what I’m seeing here and should be paying closer or under 500. What is the right payment for this car? In Maryland. Thank you in advance!

MD taxes the full selling price, even on a lease.
But, I get $454/mo.+tax, with your numbers.
    That's about $520/mo.

Looks like some extra fees not disclosed, or the money factor is marked up.

Would you say this is a good deal? I am looking also at another type of car which is a step up and it’s about 70 a month more to get into that one. Trying to weigh options here. Thank you!

I've been searching for an X1 with the options I wanted for a couple months now and havent found anything. I was ready to order a '18 and they and they said they couldn't because '19s are coming out now. Isn't it too early for that? I figured they wanted me to just buy one on the lot..

Can I get May numbers for the '18 X1 sDrive with 10k a year and 36 months?

Given the lead time for a factory order, I'm not surprised it has to be a 2019 at this point.

Yes on the inception as I told the dealer I would pay around $1000 out of pocket for 1st month payment, title, and registration. Not sure where the extra $363.48 is coming from. Should I not pay the inception or if I should, is that to much to pay? Where would you try and target the monthly payment to be?
I'm also a current BMW lease holder for my other car if that helps for incentives.

$1,000 due at signing includes first month
    $525 per month, 36/10

is this a good deal? I could have probably talk down the MF to 0.00166 since they mark up to 0.00186, but was quite satisfied with the $525 payment.

    TIA :)

Received this quote for 2018 X1, seems high. Can you point me in the direction of where the numbers should be. If additional information is needed please advise. State is CT, thank you.

    1,363.48 Inceptions
    15 K per year, 36 months
    Monthly Payment $538.48
    MSRP is 44,490
Adjusted cap cost reduction is 38,603.64
    Money Factor is .00166
    Residual is 24,914.00
    Incentives 1,500.00
    DEMO w/2786 Miles

Are you paying the inceptions up front?

Subtract about $700 from the calculated residual to account for the miles.
We recommend only paying the first payment and registration costs up front, maybe less than $1000.

Don't negotiate the payment, negotiate the price and ensure the MF isn't marked up on you (it isn't, in your case). Then, watch out for junk fees.

I hope I’ve nailed a good deal here but please let me know if otherwise.

    12k/36 mos
    msrp 43490
    neg price 36195
taxes in MD rolled into monthly payments
acq, dealer processing, tags, first month payment and cost to ship car as upfront payment of 2300
    monthly lease price 479

Given the taxes on a lease in MD, that looks pretty decent.

    Congrats!

Base MF is .00166; your dealer is marking it up the max allowed.

For new units, we suggest 7% off sticker. 15% off sticker is for demos or service loaners.

Destination fee is part of the MSRP; cannot be avoided.

    Hi Michaell,

Thanks for quick reply. Based on what she gave to me, I calculated by myself but I couldn't get the monthly number she offered. And she then told me to add additional destination fee. That's why I am asking.

Also I looked at the car, it only have 10 miles. Does that look like demos or service loaners? What's your suggestion to negotiate this deal? What will be the reasonable monthly payment? Thanks

Can't shake the feeling that there's something wrong with this deal.

Looking at a 2018 X1 Loaner Demo with an MSRP of $41,540. Car has 4,398 miles.

Getting is discount of $5,518 or 13.28% and an additional $2,500 in rebate. Tax is $1,278.36 and deal fee is $689.50.

This gives a cap cost of $33,522. With a 36 month term, I am getting a lease payment of $409.11 with $2k down. Does this not seem high?

Money factor is .00166 with a residual (before the miles adjustment) of 59%.

10 miles makes it a new car. If they are offering 15% off the sticker price, be aware of other junk fees and costs to claw back the discount. They are already doing that with the MF markup.

    Hi Michael,

This includes the $925 acquisition fee. And the $625 dealer fee. This is for Florida.

$409 is the dealers quote. This seems close to a price for a new loaner.

Then ignore the tax amount - FL taxes the monthly payment on a lease.

What is the adjusted cap cost the dealer is using for their quote?

If I subtract $1100 from the residual value, and use the prices you've provided, I get a payment of $375/mo before tax. 7% tax rate takes us to $402/mo.

About $250 difference in cap cost.

I can't figure out where things are going wrong. They also told me that they give 500 miles off the residual calculation. So rather than calculation the residual off 4,398 miles they calculate it off of 3,898 miles. I believe the tax rate is also 6.5%. I feel like the payments should definitely be under $400 a month.

Thanks again for all the help!

500 miles is $125 of the $250 delta. So, we are very close to the dealer quote.
