CA doesn't tax the entire selling price on a lease, just the monthly payment.

Ask the dealer to provide you with the adjusted cap cost, with the fees included in the selling price.

The dealer is offering 12% off MSRP on a 2018 e class sedan with p3 package. Sale price is $63636. With VA taxes included and $7500 down, he is quoting $675 per month for a 36/12 lease. Is this a good deal?

With your prices, I get $710/mo with $0 down.

Is the $7500 in addition to the taxes and fees you are paying up front?

Here's why we suggest you skip the large down payment - you pay the $7500, and take the car home. 3 months later, it's totaled in an accident. That $7500 is gone - you won't get it back via insurance.

And, it masks the true cost of the lease - every $1000 down represents about $28/mo on the payment.

Haven't seen it recently, but in the past, ED was always a .00030 bump over the US delivery rate. In exchange, the 2nd lease payment is waived.

I am looking at a 2018 E43 in NY long island to be exact. MSRP is $83,035 and i am getting a 43k discount off of the car making hte sales price $83,035. Looking at 36 months with 10,000 miles. With no money out of pocket can you please tell me what my payment would be? If easier please let me know what the payment would be with me paying taxes up front. Credit score is 800. Really appreciate your time. thank you!

Are you planning on re-leasing your current vehicle for one year?
If so, I doubt that will be price-competitive. Not even sure how that would work. If you call MBFS, it's possible they might extend your current lease by six months or so (for the same payment)

I think I'd be a lot more aggressive than just $3000 off of an $83K vehicle.

Maybe a big discount on a leftover 2017 model?

Not sure why he would say that. They are listed along with the rest of the models. They did just come out yesterday, though.

To negotiate for the buy rate, you have to know the buy rate.
