    Any thoughts on this deal?

CA doesn't tax the entire selling price on a lease, just the monthly payment.

Ask the dealer to provide you with the adjusted cap cost, with the fees included in the selling price.

    .00144 and 60% for 36/12

  • The dealer is offering 12% off MSRP on a 2018 e class sedan with p3 package. Sale price is $63636. With VA taxes included and $7500 down, he is quoting $675 per month for a 36/12 lease. Is this a good deal?

    E300?
    RWD or 4Matic?
    What is the actual MSRP?

Why put that much upfront on a lease?

E300 4 matic. MSRP is $72230. Putting upfront to keep the income to debt ratio low. Do you see any concerns.

Thank you so much for your advise.
  • Hello,

I was curious if the 2018 e43 and 2018 e300 sedan had the same MF/residual?  If not, what are September base MF rates and residuals for for a 2018 e43 for 36/10, 36/12, 36/15?

Thank you so much, much appreciate it!

With your prices, I get $710/mo with $0 down.

Is the $7500 in addition to the taxes and fees you are paying up front?

Here's why we suggest you skip the large down payment - you pay the $7500, and take the car home. 3 months later, it's totaled in an accident. That $7500 is gone - you won't get it back via insurance.

And, it masks the true cost of the lease - every $1000 down represents about $28/mo on the payment.

Haven't seen it recently, but in the past, ED was always a .00030 bump over the US delivery rate. In exchange, the 2nd lease payment is waived.

  • Good Morning,
I am looking at a 2018 E43 in NY long island to be exact. MSRP is $83,035 and i am getting a 43k discount off of the car making hte sales price $83,035. Looking at 36 months with 10,000 miles. With no money out of pocket can you please tell me what my payment would be? If easier please let me know what the payment would be with me paying taxes up front. Credit score is 800. Really appreciate your time. thank you!
  • Sorry I mean that I was getting a 3k discount making the car 80k. Thanks!

Are you planning on re-leasing your current vehicle for one year?
If so, I doubt that will be price-competitive. Not even sure how that would work. If you call MBFS, it's possible they might extend your current lease by six months or so (for the same payment)

That's $1047/mo, assuming all other costs are paid upfront.

I think I'd be a lot more aggressive than just $3000 off of an $83K vehicle.

Maybe a big discount on a leftover 2017 model?

I'm pretty sure Mercedes is adding a six-cylinder E400 to the sedan lineup here in the US. Straight from MBUSA News:

    E- Class Sedan

    Introducing new variants for 2018: E400 4MATIC Sedan & AMG E63 S Sedan

The E400 4MATIC Sedan will feature all the standard equipment of the E300 Sedan, with standard all-wheel drive and a 3.0L biturbo V6 engine producing 329hp and 354 lb-ft of torque – the same powertrain as the E400 Coupe, E400 Cabriolet and E400 4MATIC Wagon. Coupled with the 9G-TRONIC 9-Speed Automatic Transmission and DYNAMIC SELECT, the E400 4MATIC Sedan will boast smooth, luxurious power.

Weird. Isn't it published? When you know for sure please post it. My car has been stuck at the post in Long Beach for 7 weeks. Expecting delivery within 2 weeks. Most dealers try and add at least .0002 to the buy rate. What's the best way to negotiate with them to lease at the buy rate?

To negotiate for the buy rate, you have to know the buy rate.

And, none of this is "published". It's all confidential dealer information. We don't happen to have that piece of information.
