    Are these actual quotes? Or, just a payment calculation?
    Naturally, the calculations are correct.

    Have you leased a vehicle before? The dealer doesn't decide your lease end charges. You'll get an independent third party inspection, and the charges will be the charges. The inspector doesn't know the financial details of your lease.

    Could you please let me know what tools may I use while visiting dealer and sitting at the table looking at the deal in order to evaluate whether the deal is appropriate (so that not to leave dealership in order to safe time)

    Alternatively, could you please point me to the resources where I could learn about churning lease numbers.

    I asked for the fees to be rolled into the monthly payments and just paying DMV fees at signing.
    They said they're using MF of 0.00102. It was $571 due and 525 + tax / monthly payments.

    Are the payments correct?

    2) Acquisition fee $1095 (marked up $300 from base fee)
    3) Unspecified fee $1192? I'll guess that DMV fees are included in this, and probably another garbage fee from the dealer
    4) .00220 MF? Marked way up from base money factor..

    $50,000 selling price
    $795 acq.fee
    $800 unspecified fees (being generous here)
    $51600 adjusted CAP
    .00107 MF
    54% residual
    $724mo.+tax (8.5%?) = $785/mo.
    Due at signing? Just $785/mo.

    That isn't an aggressive deal. only 6% off MSRP
    I made some assumptions.. If it were me, I'd shoot for lower than that, but as you can see, that is about $4600 less than the deal they proposed.

    Acq.fee is marked up by $300

    .00102 MF and 56% residual

    Ask them for their adjusted CAP, and see how it might differ. They aren't far off, but that's still over $500.

    I heard from someone that German makers offer sometimes One-pay lease (ie $28K on signing instead of 785/mo for 36mo). There are some savings appartently - couple grands.

    Are you familiar with that? Would you please given an example? Thank you in advance

    One-pay leases save money by giving you a discount on the money factor, then adding up the payments. The discount is in the .00080-.00100 range.

    But, first.. you have too find a dealer that isn't already marking up the money factor by that much.

    While negotiating, I had a feeling of guilt of trying to take away an opportunity to earn money by sales folks.
    Do dealers still make substantial profits when they have to sell by base prices of that particular month program, ie March
    in AZ

    I wouldn't worry about what the dealer, or salesfolks, earn on your deal. You want the best price that you're comfortable with. If they don't think they are making any money, they won't agree to the deal.

    Selling Price: $47686
    Rebate: $500
    MF: .00107
    RV: 57%
    Doc Fee: $175.68
    License: $101
    Title: $95
    Filing Fee: $25
    Illinois Tax: 8.25% Inc. County and State Tax.
    Monthly Payment calculated by Dealer: $643.83

    With my calculation monthly payment is coming out to be $632.13 with Acq Fee and taxes rolled in.
    And Tax total is $1654 with my calculation So what am I missing? does it look good deal?
    Any help would be appropriated.

However dealer is saying he is lowering the 10% from the MSRP.  So shouldn't the Net Cap Cost be lower? Also in the sheet dealer has added $1997.85 as a capped tax which I thought should be lower as per 8.25% and shouldn't be added at the end in the payment like you explained in your calculations?

However dealer is saying he is lowering the 10% from the MSRP.  So shouldn't the Net Cap Cost be lower?     Well, 10% off MSRP is a discount of $5298, and I don't see that discount on their worksheet. So, I'd question them on that.

    IL taxes the sum of the base payments, using the cap cost of $48,281.50. If I put that number into my calculator, I get a total tax (at 8.25%) of $1741.06. Again, something to ask the dealer.

    Don't be afraid to ask them questions - with this much money at stake, you want to make sure you understand every number being presented to you.

    what should my payment be looking like for a GLC 300 Coupe

    MSRP: 56,915

    Selling Price: 51,790


    taxes and fees paid upfront, no cap reduction.

    36/12 with March's numbers

    I spoke to the dealer and here are few updates :

    1. For Money Factor I was told that it will be surely lowered once the credit application is run with my SSN . For now it is 0.00200. I asked that to be lowered to .00139

    2. perma plate, ding shield : I too want to avoid it but lease being my first time, I was told that it will protect in case of any dings or dents or spills or scratches in unseen scenarios when parked outside. Else at the end of lease I will have to pay from my pocket again , is what I was told. So I am in a fix.

    3. doc fee : Can you help me know on what reason or ground can i ask for it to be removed ? Also should it be removed or lowered.

    4. Acquisition fee is marked up from $795 : I spoke about that and i was informed that it will be lowered at the final stage once my credit application is run and I am ready to take up the lease.

    1. Dealers often use a marked up MF before running credit; nothing out of the ordinary there
    2. I've had 5 leased cars. Total end of lease charges, due to damage = $0. Those are just profit makers for the dealer.
    3. Highly unlikely you can get it removed; simply ask for a lower selling price instead
    4. First time I've seen an MB dealer be willing to lower the acquisition fee. I'll believe it when I see it
    5. 10% off sticker is nice, but you're giving back almost $1300 with the junk stuff and doc fees.

    here is a quote I got on this vehicle: $50,100; MF .00127; residual at 56% with 12/36, sales price at $46500 with $2270 out of pocket- first month, DMV, Doc fee, Bank fee, lux tax; tire fee.
    $637 per month (includes NJ sales tax)

    Hi Sir,

    I spoke to the dealer and here are few updates :

    1. For Money Factor I was told that it will be surely lowered once the credit application is run with my SSN . For now it is 0.00200. I asked that to be lowered to .00139

    2. perma plate, ding shield : I too want to avoid it but lease being my first time, I was told that it will protect in case of any dings or dents or spills or scratches in unseen scenarios when parked outside. Else at the end of lease I will have to pay from my pocket again , is what I was told. So I am in a fix.

    3. doc fee : Can you help me know on what reason or ground can i ask for it to be removed ? Also should it be removed or lowered.

    4. Acquisition fee is marked up from $795 : I spoke about that and i was informed that it will be lowered at the final stage once my credit application is run and I am ready to take up the lease.

    5. Here is the new quote I received , can you kindly review and please suggest

    On my glc 300 Feb/2018 lease, I was charged below 2 items , but I can cancel in 30 days if I wish. 

    1. Complete protection package via fidelity insurance: $1400 for a 3yr/36k lease ( covers tires, exterior, interior upto $7500 without any deductible.

    2. 3yr  complete service package(10k,20k,30k): $1080, but it was added in msrp/cap adjustments. Because of this , my residual value went from 58 to 58.8%;?Dealer said I am technically paying only $580 for this service package.

    for me second item seems ok as they residualized. Not sure to keep 3yr protection package as that covers tires aswell. Please advice? (Btw, I do have 4yr boy, so not sure interior protection is must or not)

    If #2 has been residualized, that's a good deal - I'm pretty sure you'll spend more than $600 on those three service visits.

    I'm not sure what you say will make a difference. Possibly, making them believe you won't take the vehicle without a lower payment?

    Tell them you want the same deal, but at $639/mo, and see what happens? If you are willing to take $674/mo, any amount they drop is a bonus..

    The numbers at the bottom are for a purchase, not a lease.
    They include tax that may not be part of the lease equation and no mention of the acquisition fee.

    What mileage allowance?
    Is this RWD or AWD?
    Which state? Tax rate?
    Did they disclose the money factor?
