Hello again and thank you for your continued help! Couldn’t get a deal done for January and wondering if anything has changed for February.
Looking for lease numbers for Traverse AWD 1LT Cloth for 36/12 in NJ.
Also wondering if Chevy has continued their incentives, specifically customer cash and customer lease loyalty. Hopefully you can enlighten me. Thanks again!

FWD residual is still 59% for 36/10.

Correct. There’s a $2250 rebate. Fair to ask them to take another $1k off price? What might be considered a decent discount?

    Thanks!

Quick leasing question. I was told this by the dealer and wanted to verify because it sounded very fishy to me! Are there 2 separate selling prices for buying and leasing a car? when I showed the dealer a price quoted on their website, he said that they couldn’t do that price for a lease “because it’s different”. Any validity to this? Seems to me that selling price would be the same regardless.

Especially with domestic makes, the lease and purchase/finance incentives can be very different.

I am aware of that. With incentives aside are there any other factors that may cause an advertised purchase price to not be allowed as a lease selling price?

There is the acquisition fee that is mandatory for a lease - $595 for GM Financial.

Can't think of anything, beyond that.

Why don't you ask the dealer, and see what they tell you?

Because they've already included incentives on a purchase quote that aren't available with the lease program.

With your MSRP and adjusted cap, I within a penny of that quote (rounding error, I'm sure).

My guess is the up front cash is the first payment and registration costs, which are not taxable. You could add that into the adjusted cap, but that then subjects them to tax.

Only way to improve on that deal is to negotiate a lower selling price - not something we track, but $1700 off sticker, for a FWD in Ohio, might be improved upon.

Close to locking down a deal and the I found out there’s a $595 disposition fee. When did GM start with these? Bummer. Don’t have one on my current lease - a 2015 Traverse LS.

Does this math work out? I'm going to try to get cash due at signing down a bit. Thanks for your input!
    .00054 and 56%

You sure it's a disposition fee and not an acquisition fee?

That looks like the right amount for the acquisition fee; the disposition fee is usually a bit smaller.

    Decent?

The money factor and residual are correct.
The payment is correct, as well.

    I assume there is a $2250 rebate?

We don't follow pricing, but $1000 doesn't seem like a very big discount.
Correct. There’s a $2250 rebate. Fair to ask them to take another $1k off price? What might be considered a decent discount?

    Thanks!
    As I noted, I don't follow pricing.
I'd be tempted to ask for $1500-$2000 more.
Just play dumb and tell them you need to get that payment under $400/mo. That your wife won't let you come home with that payment. ;)
They wouldn't move. New dealer. Similar car. Traverse LT with cloth, FWD. Ohio. 36/15K.

Positive. The acquisition fee is noted as well. $595 seems steep to me. In poking around, it seems like the typical disposition fee for Chevys is $395, so not sure if this is a recent change or not. Going to call GM Financial today.

Hi I am looking for NY numbers for 3LT, Premium, & High Country for 24/10 and 36/10 leases. From previous posts it looks like 3LT and High country are the same with lower residual for Premium for some reason?

Actually, I think the High Country is a Premier model, with extras.. so, it gets the Premier residual.
Assuming I'm right (always dicey), then:
    AWD

    24/10: .00080 MF and 67%/63% residual for LT/Premier
    36/10: .00054 MF and 60%/55% residual for LT/Premier

Hi. Looking for Traverse Premier and High Country 39 month, 12k miles/yr, MF and Residual. Reside in Nebraska, but have dealerships across the river in Iowa if that makes any difference.

Dealership is quoting me $730/m (not sure if this includes the 7% sales tax) - MSRP $54,520 on this lease. Not sure about other figures I will post if/when I get them from the "Internet Sales Director". LOL.

    Thanks in Advance.

.00054 MF and 59% residual is correct for 36/12

Do you have the adjusted CAP cost, with the fees and taxes rolled in?
What is the amount due at signing?
MD taxes the full selling price, so the tax alone will be $60/mo.

    AWD.
    .00054 and 51% (Premier) or 56% (HC)

We would need to know the selling price or cap cost to model a payment.

Dealership is quoting me 51% for a High Country. The differences seem very confusing. Also, is the 36 month lease an option with these? What would the MF and Residual % be on that all things being the same? Thanks!
