Dealership is quoting me 51% for a High Country. The differences seem very confusing. Also, is the 36 month lease an option with these? What would the MF and Residual % be on that all things being the same? Thanks!

Is the High Country a trim version for the Premier? If so, then 51% is the correct residual.
Dealers cannot mess with the residual values - the contract will be kicked back to them from the bank.

I do not know if it is a trim version or what. I can't get a straight answer on that. Do you have information on the differences in residual? I thought you stated that Premier is 51% and High Country (HC) is 56%. Thanks

Well, the FWD LS and 1/2/3 LT are 56% for 36/15, so that's what I used.
A Wall Street Journal reporter is hoping to find a recent buyer that would be willing to talk about their experience at the dealership, specifically about how/if the salesperson explained car safety systems during the purchase process. She's hoping to ask a few questions about how the dealer explained the ADAS package, tried to sell it to them, demonstrated how it worked, etc. Please send a note to pr@edmunds.com by next Friday 2/23/18
Need info on Traverse Premier AWD, 39m/12mk - 36m/12k. Resid and MF. Thanks.
Also, dealership quoting me $529 plus tax on AWD 3LT, MSRP $46,390, selling price $43,419. $0 down. Your thoughts?
Thanks!
.00054 MF and 54%/51% residual for 36/39 mo, 12K/yr
Residuals on the 3LT are 5% higher than the Premier. The payment on the 3LT will be a lot lower than on a Premier.
Don't know your tax rate, or where you live, but the 3LT quote looks like it could be about right. If you can live with that trim, you'll save thousands over the life of the lease, compared to a Premier.

Thanks. Live in NE - so rate is 7% on the lease base. I can live with that trim, but my wife is another story...
We are leasing a similar priced GMC Acadia Denali from 2015 and are paying that same price with tax now. Leasing has gone up in price over the past few years, especially for SUV's, in my opinion.

The new Traverse lease program is definitely not that great. But, it's a "new" model. In another year, the leases will probably be better.
No way I'd lease a Premier.... not with that program.
Looking for residual and MF in MN (55113) for 36, 39, and 48 month lease on a 1LT cloth AWD. Also considering a 3LT AWD if you I can trouble you for those as well.

OK. I got the following deal from my local chevy dealer.
2018 Traverse AWD Premier. 36m, 12k/yr lease MSRP: $53,920 Sales Price: $50,133 less $2,000 in Rebates then assigned to dealer (loyalty and flex) MF: .00054 Residual Appears to be 54% as Residual Amount listed as $28,776.60
Payment is $630.65 per month for 35 months. 1st payment split between me and dealer ($315 each), $179 doc fee paid by dealer, $100 paid by dealer toward their install of black bowties ($195 installed option).

.00054 MF and 54% residual is correct But, your MSRP is $53,290, not $53,920

What is your state and tax rate?
You are right on MSRP I screwed that up.
Tax rate is 5.5%.
If I use $48,133 for the adjusted CAP, I get $580/mo.+tax. But, I don't know what else is rolled in (acquisition fee, etc?) Calculations are probably pretty close, if we had the adjusted CAP cost number.
Just got back from the dealer and the following was offered to me on a 2018 Traverse 1LT AWD 36mo/12k lease: $419/mo $2811 due at signing plus DMV fees(New York, was told the DMV fees would be around $200 total). When I asked what the $2811 included I was told Bank fee($650) First months payment($419) and taxes(NY 8.875%). I believe the offer was high, but I would like to know what I should go back to them with.
He told me the MSRP is $39,895. When I asked him what the sale price was he told me the "supplier price" was $38,250 due to an educator discount. He also mentioned a rebate of $3,250. I also have 2 months payments of our prior lease @$309/mo outstanding.
This is my first time trying to calculate a lease so please correct me if/where I am wrong. MSRP- 39,895
Adj CAP cost -38,250 - 3,250(rebate)= 35,000 (Do I add the $618 outstanding lease payments here? Do I subtract any or all of the $2811 due at signing?)
Residual value- Dealer stated it was 56%, however you guys said it was 59%. Unsure what is correct.
MF- when I inquired here at the end of Feb. it was .00054
One of the many parts that is confusing me is the taxes portion of the money due at signing. After taking out the bank fee($650) and 1st payment($419) that leaves $1742 in taxes which I was told was for the lease payments and rebate.
I hope this is enough information and clear enough to make sense out of. Appreciate all the help you guys give on this site.
Looking for MF and RV for 1LT and 3LT with and without AWD 36/15k. Also are there any current incentives? Educator? Lease conquest? Zip is 43035. Thanks!
I have asked this question in the past but I don’t think I was clear enough in my wording. Hoping someone can clarify this for me.
I received a specialized price quote for a 2018 Traverse and brought this with me to the dealer. When they looked at it they told me the price was for a purchase and not for lease. Nowhere on the quote did it specify purchase only. The quote simply stated “Subtotal before Dealer Fees & Accessories” along with the price. The cash and incentives were NOT specific to Financing.
My question is: Excluding the various cash and incentives that can be specific to leasing or financing, can there every be two different selling prices (lease or finance)? Seems to me that I had a great price quote and the dealer was just trying to up the ante.
