Assuming my calculations are right, I took the total Rental Fee from the paperwork ($9,985.47), and divided that by my 36 month term to get my monthly interest. Then used the monthly interest to solve for the MF (which is completely unknown since the dealer would not/could not tell me). If I calculated everything correctly, I am coming up with a MF used in my lease that is closer to 0.00249. Does this sound like I am on the right track? I want to make sure I know what I am talking about when I speak to the dealer again about how my lease was calculated. I assume someone at the dealership has to know the MF numbers Audi has available and uses for contracts. Maybe they try to hide these numbers from consumers, I don't know?

Yes.. chances are that .00249 MF is pretty close, given your rent charge.
$55/mo. extra, more or less.

Thank you for your reply. I greatly appreciate the information. Most likely there is nothing we can do now, but maybe if they are a reputable dealership they will make right by the deal since we were out-right lied to by multiple people, but I won't be holding my breath.

I dunno. In this day of social media, you can make a lot of noise and affect future business.

A reasonable conversation with the general sales manager (or dealer principal) might give you some satisfaction.

Can't hurt to try.

Dealer said the MF was 0.00199 with a 61% residual.

How does this deal look?

They told the truth: .00250 is set by the dealer
And, if they won't negotiate it, then they told the truth about that, too...

You can tell the truth by saying you'll go elsewhere, where another dealer will give you the base rate.
