    $57775

    Nice discount from sticker!

Looks like a solid deal, given the lease program that is available.

    Congrats, and enjoy!

    Michaell,

Could you please look at this deal and let me know if I am getting a good deal or not? Based on some of the numbers I am seeing here, this dealership's MF/RV are way off than what you are showing. This is from a metro Atlanta dealer on a prestige SQ5.

What are some incentives that are going on that I could use to counter this offer in negotiations?

    .00171 MF and 61% residual for 36/12
Dealer is marking up the money factor by .00100
$1594 in Total Add CAP Costs is the $895 acquisition fee, and most likely a $699 dealer fee.
I'm surprised they require a security deposit, but that's okay.

    1) Discount is less than 4% off MSRP. I'd want 5% off, at least. That's another $1000 lower
    2) Money factor markup is adding over $115/mo. to the payment. Insist on the base rate.
    3) $699 dealer fee? Ask for another $500 off price to make up for it. (down to $64,500 now)

$64,500 price and .00171 MF results in approx payment of $850/mo. (vs. $1009 quote)

You should be able to lease a demo with the new car program, with a residual reduction for the mileage.
But, we don't have any information about incentive applications.

    I found a left over 2017 SQ5.
Do the 2018 MFs and Residuals transfer over to that car if I want to lease?
I'm in NY. Looking for 36M/10k per year this is a P+ Car.

Can I get some feedback on this deal?
Audi SQ5 Premium Plus. MSRP is 61,190. Down payment is $2750 and the monthly lease payment is 740 a month for 36/12k. In working thru the deal they were showing me the adjusted cap cost and MF. The MF I questioned cause it was a little over 5% and .00171 is 4.104. They also had the residual at 63.75 I believe I saw.
Any feedback on this deal is greatly appreciated

State tax is 9 percent in PA. I dont know the exact adjusted cap cost. He said is was 5% off the MSRP. I asked for at least 5-6% off based off your suggestion(kydx):)
The 2750 was all in with drive off.

You know... Audi doesn't use APRs, only money factors. Ask them for the money factor used. It they try to show you an APR, they are just hiding it.
Also, the residual is always a round percentage of MSRP, and in this case, that's 62%.

Adjusted CAP of about $56,550 to get to that payment.

    $2750?
    $895 acquisition fee
    $740 first payment
    $350 DMV/dealer fees.

That leaves about $750 for CAP reduction, making the selling price $57,300.
    That's a little better than 6% off.

So, nothing looks out of place.. but, your recollection of the numbers seems different.

Hello — I’d like to get your thoughts on the below quote that I received for a ‘18 SQ5 Premium Plus, 36 months/12k miles per year.

    MSRP: $62,480
    Selling price: $58,705
    Discount prep: $80
    License title: $510
    Tire/Battery/VTR fee: $8.75
    ELF/Weight: $29
    Acquisition fee: $895
    Tax on collected items: $360.52
    Total cap cost: $56,346.91

Their quote included a marked up MF and down payment of over $4k. I’m not planning to put any money down on a lease. Assuming I could get the dealer to give me the base MF of .00171 or whatever the current MF is, and no money down, what should my monthly payment come out to be? I’m in CA and my city’s sales tax rate is 9.75%.

    Many thanks!

*** Edited to ask if the fees above are appropriate and standard, or if they’re tactics to increase dealer mark up on the vehicle.

The fees are normal for CA

    .00171 MF and 62% residual

With the acquisition fee rolled into the CAP cost, and the other fees paid upfront...
    $747.69/mo.+tax = $820.59/mo.

    Due at Signing:
    $820.59
$627.75 DMV/doc (no tax on collected items, as all taxable items rolled into the CAP)
    $1448 total.

Thank you for your feedback, it's greatly appreciated.

I had a friend that spoke to the owner of the dealership I went to and he said the deal was $1250 under invoice. The owners feedback was basically that's the best they could do on the deal.
That being said I went on TrueCar today to check the deal out. On there it seems that almost 7.5% off is the average deal. How much should I rely on TrueCar info? I also went on TrueCar cause I wanted to see if I could find a car with the warm weather package added to the car to see how much more it was.

I do know and understand that the Money Factor isn't stated in terms of interest rate. However, when I was looking at the info on the lease quote I just knew to multiply the MF by 2400 to figure an interest rate to try to be able to figure out how much more they were upcharging me on the MF that was quoted.
The residual was definitely at 63.75 thou on the one particular quote, it could be different on the final number(740mth number) cause I just never saw that final quoted number. However, I immediately thought was weird that is was .75 in general.

What's your thoughts on the TrueCar info?
    Thanks

You'll notice that you are posting on Edmunds.com.

No insight as to how other websites determine their pricing, other than to say that most pricing quotes are for purchase, not leasing, and may include incentives that aren't valid if you lease.

Regarding the MF upcharge, why not subtract the number we gave you from the number the dealer quoted? Converting to an APR just confuses things.

the following is the deal i received for a 2018 SQ5 Prestige with cold and warm package, carbon inlays, and audi beam rings. the lease is 36 months/10K miles. Does it seem like a pretty good deal? $689/month including MA sales taxes. My drive off is $1,650.

    .00171 and 62%

With those prices, I get $666/mo with tax. Looks like the MF is bumped up a bit.

We'd recommend that you roll the acquisition and doc fees into the cap cost and make them part of the payment - less cash out of pocket, but a higher payment.

Ignore the purchase option numbers - what you need from the dealer is the 'adjusted cap cost' - this will exclude the full tax amount but include the acquisition fee, which is lease specific.

Don't use the trade equity on a lease - that money would be lost if the car is stolen or totaled.

And, the lease programs on Audi are not that great - highly unlikely you'll get to $500/mo on an SQ5.

    .00171 and 58% for 36/15 on Prestige.

It's a Q5 not SQ5 my mistake, and you are saying to just sell my car at CarMax or something vs trading it in? And 36/12

You can trade it in - just have the dealer cut you a check for the equity. Of course, if CarMax makes you a better offer, you can take it, or use it to drive up the trade value from the dealer.

Here is what I finally got them down to. Let me know if this looks OK. The idea is to keep the payment at $700 or under.

Thanks for your help. They wanted to give me $3000 for the Equinox to start, which is what I was quoted elsewhere.

They marked up the money factor from .00169 to .00204.
With the base money factor, the payment would be $35/mo. less.

Have any numbers on leasing a 2018 SQ5 vs. S5 sportback? I'm starting the dealer negotiation process, and I'm want to try to have a base expectation. I'm in Nashville, TN 37209.

Do you mean a price comparison?

    They have similar lease programs.
But, it seems the pricing is more aggressive on the SQ5.

Given that the SQ5 generally has a higher MSRP, I'd say the lease payments might be comparable.

Any idea yet if the SQ5 lease numbers are changing for next month or how much they usually vary? Just wondering cause dealer is pressing me to close a deal on a car before the end of the month.
    Let me know
    Thanks

Dealers are always pressing to sell a car today.

No insight as to what may change with the numbers in April.

    Hello,

Appreciate all you do. Located in Utah, looking for SQ5 36/12 Prestige rates and available rebates. I used the Edmunds lease calculator and assuming I negotiate the deal below with RV and money factor based on what I'm seeing in prior posts, does the below calc look correct with only bringing in the first month's payment? Am I missing anything?

    Thanks again

    MSRP of Vehicle 67,050.00
    Residual Value 62% 41,571.00
    Negotiated Price (-6%) 63,027.00
    Dealer Doc Fee 399.00
    Registration 232.50
    Acquisition Fee 895.00
    Gross Cap Cost 64,553.50
    Rebate (Loyalty) -1,000.00
    Adjusted Cap Cost 63,553.50
    Depreciation Amt 21,982.50
