Also a leasing company I talked to said all of the Compasses are on sales hold due to a open recall.  I’ve never heard something like that before.

I worked in a nissan service department for years and they would never put a sales hold on ALL vehicles when the recall only effects around 8,000 vehicles.  The vehicles that have an open recall would be on hold until the recall was completed,  then the vehicle would be released.

I'm interested in leasing a new Compass, but having a really hard time finding a dealer in Kansas City who will even talk about leases. Any recommendations on a dealer who is actively doing lease deals on new Jeeps? (I'm fine with an out of state dealer if they have experience doing internet sales.)

P.S. The one lease I have quoted was $452/mo for 36/10 on a 2017 Latitude. This seemed very high, considering all local dealers are advertising these in the low 20's. I'm happy with either a 2017 or 2018, no real preference. The dealer quoted me basically the same monthly using either Ally or BofA.

There isn't any support for leasing the 2017 model. If you want to lease, stick with the 2018 model (but, not the Sport trim).

Any dealer will lease. Just go in and ask. If the salesperson doesn't want to negotiate on a lease, ask for someone else.
