We aren't big fans of up front cash - just first payment and DMV costs. Roll all other taxes and fees into the lease payment.

The only FWD Compass trims with decent lease programs are the Limited and Overland

I've never shopped Jeep before and their incentives are so hard to figure out, it's like they make it confusing on purpose so you have no idea what you are eligible for and what the dealer may be keeping for themselves.

For a lease I see $1,000 conquest cash, but also see various $500 cash offers as well. When visiting a dealership last night they were like "there are over $3,000 you qualify for" but I know in the end they're going to stack the destination charge and acquisition fee as things to "pay up front" to make the payments "appear" lower.

I want to walk in there and make them an offer but I can't seem to find a listing of the incentives, unless $1,000 is it for the lease.

Sorry, but we don't have the incentive information.

On top of what you listed, lease incentives can vary, depending on which bank they use.

Curious if this looks like a good deal to you.

We were quoted from a nicely loaded 34,860 MSRP Limited 4x4
Down to $31,110
Lease terms: 36MO, 10K /yr
They came back with a monthly lease payment (including taxes) of 390, with no down payment, only covering the first payment + 250-300ish in title/reg/document fees.

I showed them my math and challenged that the payment should be in the 350-360 range
w/ a 58% residual and .00004 money factor
They stated the money factor should actually be .00115 (or something like that). I didn't write down the specific number but they indicated that money factor was not correct and could depend on the bank they use.

But they stated they could get this payment into the $360 range.

Which makes me think .00004 is the actual tier 1 money factor but it was easier to tell me that rather than say "yeah we marked it up, oops".

They were super nice, but I was curious if you think this is a good deal in the $360 range?

.00004 and 58% are the correct Chrysler Finance numbers for the 2018 Compass Limited 4x4.

Dealers are free to use other banks, if they think it will result in a better payment.

BTW, dealers can only mark up the Chrysler MF a max of .00042.

I'm looking for the MF & RV for both a 2018 Jeep Compass Latitude and Limited. 36 mos/12K miles per year in Chicago IL suburbs.
I walked out of a dealer last night due to poor explanation of lease payments/terms and a ridiculous monthly payment amount on a 2018 Limited 4x4. The MSRP was $31,485. The agreed upon selling price was $26,235. They told me the additional fees would be $221 for new plates and the Illinois doc fee of $172.15. Our sales tax rate is 8%. They gave me a monthly payment amount of $411 with no money down!!!!! I questioned why the payment was so high because I currently lease a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport and my payments are nowhere near that & the Outlander was $1K more. The Sales Manager said it's because the Jeep's RV is 50%, then changed it to 60%, then 70%, because I told him the RV on my current lease was 62%. He proceeded to tell me that my Mitsu is only worth $11,000 & that there is no way they would take my lease (I have 2 payments left). They offered to give me a check for the last two payments and then I should just go turn the lease in myself. (There is a $1K incentive on Jeep for acquiring an outside manufacturer's lease right now.)
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I agree with them about your current lease. No way they want that car for the payoff.
Mitsubishi puts massive incentives into their leases to make them affordable. One of those incentives is the unrealistic residual. Taking the vehicle to the end of term is a must.

Assuming 4X4?
Chrysler Capital numbers:
.00018/.00004 MF for Lat/LTD.
57% residual for either model for 36/12

I'll guess that the price given is only good using a 3rd party bank like ALLY or US Bank. I don't think you could get that price with the Chrysler Capital lease terms.

Ask them which bank they are using, the money factor and residual, and the adjusted CAP cost, and an itemization of the amounts included.
